Cute little donut/sandwich spot tucked away in the shopping plaza. i was looking for vietnamese coffee to satisfy a craving. they also have tiny cupcakes, cookies and of course DONUTS. But I stopped by in the afternoon, placed an order for a sandwich and asked for a decaf. the nice woman just looked at me and said, "Sorry, we don't have any decaf coffee." That made me giggle. I LOVE REDONDOUGH! My husband and I haven't been back for a few months and they have a new display where you can grab cookies, muffins and loaves of different bread, etc. They have a deal if you spend $35 you get one of the items for free! It's a great selection added onto the many baked good options they have at the counter display case. I love the many choices of breakfast sandwiches. My fav simple sandwich is the classic chicken. Favorite drinks are the matcha latte, vanilla latte and the white chocolate latte. I enjoy their ube cookie, chocolate chip cookie and cinnamon roll. There's so many things to try still. When you go to a restaurant and they do things that make absolutely no sense, you really ought to be thinking...do they have the capacity to do the right thing, or do they just follow a ridiculous direction whether it makes sense, is fair, is right, or even is safe. My daughter went to Redondough and part of her order, with drinks and a sandwich, was a bagel. It was simple....a bagel. *NOPE* she was told she couldn't get it plain, she had to have cream cheese on it. Sure, if it's a fancy restaurant and there's a fantastic chef who doesn't want a dish being altered...you can kind of see that. But this is a bagel. You might want to put something else on it at home. You might want to just eat it plain and enjoy the taste of the bread. Nobody was asking for MORE of something...just don't take the time to ADD something to it...keep it off, keep the stuff in your inventory, save some money on your side. *NOPE* I thought there had to be a miscommunication, so I called the place and they confirmed that you get cream cheese whether you want it or not. "The sandwiches are a set price so we include cream cheese on it." Even if the customer doesn't want it? "I'm sorry.....we always put cream cheese or butter on it." Actually, butter was not provided as an option, but still....if the customer has a dairy allergy and cream cheese OR butter would both be a problem, they simply can't have a bagel because of something you insist on sticking on there after the fact? "We can make an accommodation if they have an allergy, but otherwise it comes with the cream cheese on it." There is no logic to that. Yeah...a restaurant has the right to serve whatever they want how they want it, and if I don't like it, I don't have to eat there. And I won't. But not because I wasn't there to lie about a dairy allergy myself just so they didn't insist on sticking stuff I didn't want on a bagel. I won't eat there because if they are THIS rigid about things that don't make sense, it's clear that someone who is not very bright is making decisions and the staff is forced to follow whether it makes sense or not. There's no way I trust a place like this when it comes to safety or hygiene or what is going into my food when someone is coming up with things that aren't logical and people are just following it. This place is a HARD no for me, especially considering how mediocre they said everything else there looked. Sweet Wheat, Krust, and a bunch of bagel places are all close, better and more accommodating. When this place goes away and an owner who cares about their customers comes in, I'll try it then. read more

I finally came here for lunch, and man were the sandwiches good! Rather than just throwing some deli meat on bread and calling it a day, they layer in a lot of different ingredients and they season everything. We tried their pastrami, chicken salad, and the Redondo special (turkey and pastrami). Each was dressed up some combination of pickles, sprouts, avocado, etc. And like I said they even season the avocado to kick it up a bit. You also have your choice of bread. Decided to stop by this place for lunch yesterday. It did not disappoint. Simple, light, fresh, and delicious. What I really like about it, it's almost like a premium made at home sandwich. Nothing huge or too filling. I got the Redondough special, which includes turkey, pastrami, avocado, Mayo, pickles, and a few other items. Not to mention buying the sandwich comes with a bag of chips. The price is cheap, was in the ten dollar range. Totally worth it. I would definitely come back. I have yet to try their breakfast sandwich, which looks delicious. Might I add they have a bakery, so if you have a sweet tooth, maybe you should try this place out. I came in because I wanted to try their churro donut. For anyone who knows me, knows I love churros but to just any kind of churros (the kinds that you get at Disneyland!). When I came in at 3PM on a Saturday , they were out - I was told that they sold out at noon. But on some days they sell out sometimes earlier if someone comes in and just buys all that they have made for the day. So basically, I have to come in the morning if I wanted to try it. They did have two "Fancy" churros left - chocolate with a marshmallow on top or frosted glazed with Oreo. I opted for the frosted glazed with Oreo. It's not a churro but if a churro and a donut procreated - this donut would be their fiendishly delicious bastard love child... It's a cute little place, with lots of seating and even a little play area with a high chair for kids. The owner said that they get very busy in the morning as people come in to get their breakfast. He said the best time to come in is between 6:30-7AM when everything is fresh from the oven. I'll be back to try their original churro donut. Cheers! read more

Redondough, a family-owned business, is the newest doughnut entry to the South Bay... serving -- wait for it -- churro donuts; in addition to offering cupcakes, cookies, muffins, sandwiches. I picked up a couple of cinnamon sugar & frosted churro doughnuts, blueberries & cream danish (for my hubby) & a chocolate cupcake with pink frosting for H. She liked her cupcake; it was just ok, nothing remarkable or memorable about it. The churro doughnut did not have the texture or taste of a churro... other than the cinnamon sugar, it's just a very dense, doughy doughnut in an unusual mold. H thought it was good but preferred the dedicated churro shops instead... she liked the "crunchier" version. The shop sits in the L corner of the plaza with plenty of parking spaces. With huge windows in all directions, a lot of light enters the small but spacious (due to the small tables layout) dining area. A kids play table with building blocks sits in the corner for your little one's pleasure while you enjoy your sweet treat(s). The Churro Donut for $1.20 is a unique item. In one breath, I was expecting it to basically be a greasy deep fried churro in the shape of a donut as if the traditionally long churro stick were just bent into a circle then deep fried. Well, it's not. It's actually a cake donut with churro cinnamon and sugar dusted on the outside, so it tastes like a donut, is a donut but has churro flavoring. It's not at all greasy. This location is in the same outdoor shopping complex that has a My Gym (for kids) next door as well as a Von's, Papa John's Pizza and Dollar Tree discount store next to Prospect Ave on Beryl. I got the jalapeño breakfast sandwich with egg, turkey, cheddar cheese on a toasted everything bagel and a flavored Kona med size coffee - $16. Ooof inflation prices, however I was not disappointed. The sandwich was really good, and the fixings were generous, I did not go hungry. The coffee was a bit overpriced from my experience, because I could get an americano at Starbucks for less but once again, I was not disappointed because the coffee was brewed well. Had a strong flavor and they were very generous in allowing us to pour our own dairy/alternatives. You can tell the owner of this shop takes great pride in what they do. The store is very clean, organized, well stocked and the people that work are super nice. I am definitely planning on coming back to support this local small business. Terrible customer service! The food here is decent, but today was my last day visiting this shop. A homeless man I had never met came into the shop asking for help. I ordered him a sandwich. He became verbally hostile towards the employees and understandably, the owners called the police and he was escorted out of the business. Since he did not receive his sandwich and I had already ordered and eaten my breakfast sandwich, I asked for a refund for the sandwhich I had purchased for him. Initially the owners refused stating that they only give refunds for mistakes that they make. They stated that me buying a sand-which for him was a mistake. I had to debate and demand a refund from the owner several times. Considering the circumstances, they should've readily given me a refund instead of treating me as if I did something wrong I will never eat here again. read more

The wife and I have been here several times in the past when we find ourselves in the Redondo Beach area and have really enjoyed their sandwiches. The service has always been entertaining, anywhere from very friendly and helpful to the very opposite what do you want unfriendly. So today a little after 2pm we decided to go there and looked online to see if they are open or closing soon. Their website shows them open to 5pm and the deli open all day for sandwiches. So we drove over and walked in a little after 2:30pm and ordered a sandwich. This must have been the unfriendly service day because we were quickly told we don't make sandwiches after 2 pm, with attitude of we should have known that. So I fired back that their website states the deli is open all day and they close at 5 pm. What I got back was we changed that 2 months ago and they are still working on the website. First website adjustments are easy and should correspond to the adjustments a business makes. Second friendly customer service goes a long ways toward helping your business reputation especially when you have people coming to you based on the false information you publish. I gave them that second star because i know that sandwich would have been very tasty if I could have gotten it. read more

I really can't say a bad thing about this place. I came to Redondo for 4 days and literally came here every morning for breakfast. I didn't have a bad thing. The churros donuts are outstanding, chewy and different from a regular donut. Cinnamon rolls are super tasty. Coffee was cheap and pretty tasty. We got croissant breakfast sandwich's every day and it never let me down and kept me energized for the rest of our adventures of the day. Disappointing. Sadly overpriced everything and mediocre everything. I live a block away so trust me, if anyone wanted to love this place as my 'go to place to take my kids to on a walk', it was ME! But we gave it multiple chances to be good. But it's really just NOT. Is anything there baaaaad, no. But nothing worth going back for. Maybe a fine stop if you needed a bribe/treat for your kiddo (they have cookies with characters printed on top and donuts) But all the pastries are just ok. Not yummy like they should be (seem kind of hard and stale) but you'd spend less for the same thing at the Vons nextdoor. The coffee isn't worth stopping for- save yourself a couple bucks and go to the gas station instead- cause that's the level of coffee here anyway really. I actively choose to get my two kids in the car and drive anywhere (sweet wheat, peets, Starbucks even!!) to avoid this place. Bummer. read more

i love this place a little too much! staff is always so quick, respectful, and friendly. i love their apple and cherry turnovers as well as the Vietnamese iced coffee (very strong but awesome). my only criticism would be the prices are a bit expensive and there is only one size for coffee which is huge (not that i mind too much). highly recommend this place! read more

Today we had coffee at a different place in LA and saw the ridiculously overpriced breakfast food options with a very limited menu, so we decided to enjoy the coffee while looking for a different breakfast on the way to our destination. We came across Redondough and stoped to try their bagel breakfast sandwiches. We ordered the Croissant bacon, egg & cheese on a bagel with cream cheese and regular cheese instead of croissant. I can't even post a pic of the sandwich because it was gone so fast and we were busy thoroughly enjoying every bite! The bagel was so much better than all the others we've tried every week in the L.A. area. Not only the taste but the texture and the amount of toastiness. I always ask for it a little extra toasted but at other places they either barely toast it at all or the edges end up burned. This one was perfect and we also enjoyed the freshly baked cookies! The bagels were not soft/chewy and rather hard and dry like they were day old bagels. The croissants were okay but again it didn't taste super fresh and tasted like they had been sitting out. The thing is we went in the morning! We also tried 2 of their cookies - chocolate chip and oatmeal. It looked so pale and unappetizing.
