I was actually visiting a store near Redmond's Lock and Key, when I walked by and thought "what the heck...give 'em a try." I am so glad I did. Not only did they match the key, they had it in the same brand as the original key. I am so happy they were able to assist, because I thought I was going to have to change the locks. I called Remonds Lock to repair my Kwikset Lockset on the front door and they told me that it could not be rekeyed and may need to replace the entire lockset. I told him to try and repaired the cylinder where the key goes in. I went on uTube and there was a video that shows how to rekey and fix the lock. I don't believe they are being honest with their customers on repairs and are over charging for there services. It was $55 to come the house and $23 to repair. I would recommend getting estimates from other vendors read more

I used this locksmith after losing the key to my mailbox. I called for a quote to get into the mailbox, replace the lock, and issue tuning keys. They quoted me $85 to $95, which was a similar estimate to other locations. They couldn't come out that day I'm at which is a little bit disappointing, but nothing emergent. So I scheduled an appointment for 9 a.m. the next morning. The lock was drilled and replaced in about 10 minutes, maybe a little bit less and I was on my way. The total was $81 which included the service fee, the removal of the old, and the new lock which came with two keys. The only things I work a big fan of was that they called me AND texted me immediately before the appointment to let me know the locksmith was on his way. I don't need all forms of communication, I just assume he will be there at the appointment time. The locksmith actually showed up about 10 minutes late, wasn't a big fan of that either. The text and phone call basically said the driver was on his way but I don't know if that meant from a local position or if he was coming to Hermosa beach from Long Beach. So the communications to tell me he was on his way we're fairly ineffective. Otherwise, everything else was awesome. read more

These guys are the Real Deal.... I lost my only set of keys to my truck on a Holiday Weekend!!!! And was freaking out!!! I called based on reviews, I wanted to see if they could come look at an antique door knob lock that I can not remove from the door, I thought it needed a skeleton key- very basic, and hoped they would come out to the property and match a key for me... They were super nice but told me to come to the store and pick up a few types of keys and see which one works and did not want to bother coming out.
