Beware! These people stole my Porsche! they used Dutchess Towing to do so and now they merged the business. I had to report them to Attorney General, County Executive and other government entities. They work with civil court and will try to steal your vehicle. Report them to the end. I am still trying to get my Porsche back and will. Even an illegal title removing the lien holder was done. The tactic was to provide me with a bill which was excessively high, never gave me the breakdown as to how they derived to said amount - illegal tactic! They had to tow my sons car cause he did not know that his license was suspended the day before, This was on a Saturday they towed the car exactly 1.7 miles, it was only 12:00 and we were told that we can not pick up the vehicle till Monday this way they can charge storage for 3 days, total cost was $437.00 and CASH ONLY. will never recommend them to ANYONE . This is BS they could have waved the storage fee since they were not open to give us the car back. And cash only. So much for trying to help some one out. Stay away if you can. Late last year Geico approved my claim against Redl's. They had rejected it at first when they had an investigator who did a poor job. See my previous posts. I kept calling Geico and asking them to measure the area of the tow truck that damaged my car and the damage done to my car to see if they match. Geico said that Redl did not respond to their many calls to do the measurements. However, Redl kept responding to paid jobs from Geico. Hi my name is Connie and this past Saturday I got a flat tire while driving in Poughkeepsie, NY and at first a Poughkeepsie police officer stop to help me. His name was Officer Joe Murry and he was the kindest and most helpful police officer ever. He took care of me and my car and made me feel so safe. He called REDL'S TOWING who also came to my rescue within five minute. The young man's name from the towing company was Greg and I can't say enough nice things about him. He right away took care of everything and changed my flat tire and told me not to worry and to just sit in the car and stay warm. Let me tell you Greg was such a pro and he also made me feel so safe. Afterwards both him and the police officer told me where I could go to get a new tire and they couldn't of been more patient with me and more sweet, they were absolutely the most kindest and professional men ever. I even tried my best to tip Greg and Officer Joe but neither one of them would take any money from me. I can't tell you how scared I was when I got my flat tire being I was alone in the car but when these two incredible men stopped and helped me it was like someone sent these two angels to me. If I was allowed to use another towing company off the Taconic I would. They were nasty on the phone and in person. I went there the next day to get my car and there was no bill ready, I left my name & number and no one ever called me. Three days later I got in touch with them, still no bill and he was verbally abusive to me. I believe that if I hadn't gone to the Troopers barracks to speak with someone in charge I would have had to pay storage fees on top of the towing fees ($175+tax, for 5 miles). Even after I had gotten it straightened out with the Sargent I spoke with he, the owner of the company, was even more so verbally abusive. I would rather push my car than ever have them tow any of my vehicles ever again. Better Business Bureau has been called. read more

Stuck out on the Taconic Parkway, hundred of miles away from home, the miracle of meeting great people who actually care to help can happen. Redl's Towing was part of the team that eventually got us back on the road and basically, saved us from what could have been a bad experience. Great people. They know the area and are very helpful. They hop to it and happily help. Plus they keep their flatbed neat and clean. I have had a couple vehicles towed and a piece of equipment, always nice friendly service. They take care of everything so I did not even have to go with them to the shop. So worth it and a big time saver. I think when your car is broken down some people feel very upset and unfairly take their emotions out on service people who are working in tough conditions to try to help you and I can only imagine what these guys go thru working in slush and weather. Both the telephone operator and tow truck driver were VERBALLY AGGRESSIVE AND BELLIGERENT for no apparent or understandable reason. Even though Redl's seemed to be our only option for the evening, we asked the tow truck operator to leave because his behavior and style of commutation was so unnecessarily and strangely hostile. Due to their extreme and unpredictable behavior, we did not feel comfortable allowing Redl's to perform any services or be anywhere near us or our vehicle. We could not figure out why the phone or tow truck operator were hostile and their behaviors seemed erratic and strange. There was a woman in the car with the tow truck driver and all we were thinking was, honey, you need to dump this crazy man. Once we convinced them to leave, we walked almost an hour to a hotel (no taxis were available) and worked with a different and refreshingly pleasant + helpful + communicative towing and vehicle repair company in the morning. We filed a complaint against Redl's Towing to our car insurance company that set us up with Redl's and will also be filing a complaint against Redl's with the Better Business Bureau of Poughkeepsie. This is the first review we have ever written on yelp. This experience was so ridiculous we feel the general public needs to be warned. We have had cars towed several times in the past, and even though car trouble is never fun, we have never had such an almost comedically awful, but truly horrific experience. read more

My insurance company called them to tow me. They confirmed and were supposed to be at my house within 90 minutes. They then called me to confirm. After that they called about 2 hours later to let me know they were running late because they took two other calls that were more urgent than mine. They apologized and said they would be there in about an hour. Two hours later I called them back and they said they were about to send someone over. You guessed it, another two hours go by and nothing. I called and they were a little rude about getting to me. They said they would try as soon as they could but it may be a couple hours and the weather may stop them from bringing my car down to the dealership that night. (Don't all tow companies work in all types of weather? Isn't that the point of a tow company.) Needless to say I called the insurance company back and ask them to cancel the tow with Redl's. They did. They have also put in a report against the company because of the way I was treated. They then called another tow company that came within the hour and got my car down to the dealership immediately. This is how it is supposed to be done. I would stay away from this company. I had a "run in" with someone from this company too... was pulling into a gas station that had 2 entrances was maneuvering thru the snowpiles and by the time I did he was swinging his truck in front of a car parked to my right M...silly me my esp wasn't on so, I did not realize he was backing up to it... he could have stopped and let me go thru the space between his truck and the car but instead he pretended not to see me so we he got out of his car I rolled my window down and said/yelled are you kidding me... he motioned to the there entrance but I was not backing up onto 55 then told me I shouldn't be nasty after he blocked me... then told me if I was a nice person someone might actually bend over backwards for me and then decided I was being too nasty for him to move his truck because "he was working" would never recommend or utilize their services I was shocked that "while he was working" he would treat people like that.'. many other towing companies in the area with no attitudes. read more
