Typically if there is an issue, the patrons shopping can handle it amongst themselves without the company involvement, especially if in the terms it doesn't specify that spots can't be reserved. I also stated that I was going to text, but due to the hour I was there in line, I didn't want to send it because of how late it was. Again owner didn't actually listen to me or attempt to get my side before joining the mob against me. Poor customer service, I don't need to use the actual service to know that. Part of your job is hosting a sale effectively and showing customer service because ultimately we are also customers buying the items you place out. The owner is extremely unprofessional. Maybe you should update your terms correctly and ensure their are no gaps in it. I clearly stated I never save spots and am one to sit outside for hours but my circumstances for that day didn't allow me to do so. I was given a pickup time of 12 pm, Friday, May 8, 2026. After multiple calls and a virtual shouting match with management the crew showed at 5:30 pm. That's not the worst part.... They began loading, that was completed about 9pm and arrived at my destination location at 10pm (after the crew took dinner break). They began unloading when management called to say they could not complete the move until the following day. Again, I encountered a very arrogant, condescending manager that kept defending his position of no guaranteed pickup or delivery time period. However, I must say that Manual, the moving crew lead was incredible and most accommodating under a horrible management situation. Now, to make matters worse, the charge was more than double their moving estimate. I would never recommend this AMS branch to anyone. Heads need to roll and competent consumer centric people need to be hired. I will be taking further action to ensure that other people are not taken advantage of by this unprofessional organization.

In their defense, the area had a massive winter storm delaying the whole move, but they also did not get a large enough truck to move all my stuff then said it was my fault for not sending pictures to them WHEN I WAS OUT OF TOWN. We messaged back and forth multiple times to reschedule, but not once did they remind me to send the pictures. Other movers require the pictures before even quoting so now I have to go back and either move the rest of my stuff by myself or pay someone else. I wish I would have just paid the extra $1k for someone else to do the job properly. Get an accurate quote then think long and hard before you move forward. Also make sure they bring a big enough truck!

When I raised concerns about my TV being damaged during the move, I felt dismissed immediately instead of heard as a paying, repeat customer. My interaction with Patrick S. Dobson, the Vice President, was extremely unprofessional. After I responded once to explain my concerns, his reply included "this is not worth arguing over," despite the fact that there was no back-and-forth argument happening. I was simply trying to explain my perspective regarding the damage claim. The tone of the response came across as rude, defensive, and dismissive rather than customer-focused. I also do not believe the company properly handled the damage investigation. Photos were presented as if the damage was pre-existing, but the TV had no prior damage before the movers entered my home. If any issue had truly existed beforehand, it should have been clearly pointed out to me at the time. As someone who works with customers, professionalism and communication matter just as much as the service itself. The bigger name moving companies were considerably more expensive and had hidden fees for all kinds of things (stairs, truck, weekends, etc) -- I really appreciated that Guzman's had a straightforward and well priced hourly rate without those extra fees. They had great availability and came ready to work on a hot Saturday morning with 3 men and a truck. They took great care of our belongings and furniture, wrapping everything and packing them into the truck gently. They worked quickly but carefully, and got the move done in half the time that the big companies estimated. Overall, I'm happy with the service and recommend them.
