Was in town last year for work, had my first Guinness (I know not Ireland but a step up from Katie Blooms in San Jose, CA where I learned to drink Guinness in 1992) and have to say it was delicious. Great pub, cozy and tucked away in a nice neighborhood. Had a few pints and enjoyed my stay. Will head there when I'm in town next.

It's a short walk out of town, but certainly worth it, as you'll walk through a great beer garden and past other lovely pubs, bars, restaurants and shops. It's also tucked down a little street that you might miss, so make sure you've got your google maps at hand. I really do think they're got everything right here. Inside are little rooms and snugs that you could make your own with group of friends, and the staff are always really friendly. It does get quite busy on a Saturday night, but they put lots of staff behind the bar meaning your wait isn't too long. Local beers are always changing on tap, and they have a great selection of ciders too. Every year the beehive have a cider and beer festival where they make use of their gorgeous garden out the back of the pub. Using hay bales as a bar, they have extra bars in the garden and it really is worth visiting!

Was told because I didn't mention this until the plates were cleared/I had eaten everything else nothing could be done, but it was clear from looking at the plate the chicken had not been eaten (and that it was burnt!). I didn't expect the whole meal for free, just a few quid off and an apology - was rudely told that the manager said nothing could be done. At this point it became clear that the staff couldn't care less so didn't bother to take it any further. Poor service, poor (overpriced) food. Would not recommend

The great decor immediately catches your eye from the giant glistening beer kettles to the raised ceilings and high top tables. Brewhouse does produce their own beer so you can walk up and view the production area very freely. The wait staff were friendly but did need to be flagged down at times as they lingered around the bar area talking. As far as the beers, the 'Colonel Jack' IPA was great as was the 'Tin Man" Pale Ale. For food my brother and I shared the 'Blistered Padron Peppers' first and really enjoyed them. A great snack item while sipping on a nice beer, they were plentiful and really tasty! I went with the 'Wild Mushroom Risotto with Chicken', risotto being an item I find hard to resist, which I found to be OK, but I've definitely had much better. The fact that it was served in half a roasted butternut squash was unique but the risotto was over cooked and the chicken much too dry. My brother kept it lite and ordered the 'Chicken Caesar Salad' and had no complaints. Overall a very cool looking place in the Cheltenham Brewery Quarter with great beer, a laid back vibe and a variety of food options. I would definitely give it another shot next time I'm in town.

We emailed while we were en route back to London, and we also followed up with a phone call when we arrived. The person working the front desk said they had not received an email and we asked if we needed to follow up with a second email reiterating that we would not be able to use our reservation and why. We were assured that no second email would be needed, and that Monday the manager would assess the situation and let us know if they could do anything to help accommodate our situation. On Monday, we received a communication via email that they would still charge us for the room. We called to follow up to see if could be some type of amicable solution could be achieved and spoke with Sarah, the manager. She repeatedly stated that her terms and conditions needed to be abided by. She was rather short and continuously interrupted instead of listening. It appears that taking money for a room that isn't used, no matter the circumstances, is more important to this establishment than customer service or compassion. There are other places to stay in the area that offer much better customer service. This was the worst experience that we had in England and every other facility where we stayed, up to this point, had been lovely and gracious. It was a shock to see how coldhearted and unfeeling they approached this situation. This experience further compounded something that was frightening and harrowing and unexpected.
