The Tivoli isn't hidden, but it isn't in the well-worn area of Cheltenham. So, I stumbled in one morning with a business client because the place I thought we'd go was closed. Since then, I've been back for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Needless to say, I've been happy each time.
The Eggs Benedict is delicious with perfectly cooked but runny eggs and a rich and smooth Hollandaise sauce. My steak was well-cooked and lightly seasoned although I could go for a little more seasoning so maybe I'll try the peppercorn sauce. I've forgotten some of the other dishes I or my dining companions have had but there haven't been any complaints.
The building has several different areas with slightly different atmospheres, but I'm embarrassed to say that in all my visits, I haven't made it past the seating in the front. I'll try the outdoor seating in a few months. I'm sure we'll find pleasant staff and tasty food in the rest of the restaurant as well. read more
