W live about an hour from the store in the mountains. We were greeted with a friendly and courteous staff. We explained our situation and needs. There was no high pressure sales at all. We picked out our carpet. A couple days later the estimator came by took measurements and gave us our quote and answered any questions we had. It was a week from the time we picked out our capet to installation. The install crew was very courteous and friendly. Did a great job. 6 hours from the time they arrived to the time they left. They went a little above and beyond as far as moving furniture and things as I had been suffering from a back injury so was very limited in what I could do and prepare. That was a nice touch of customer care. We ran into a couple issues which Thompson's solved quickly with no hesitation. Being we live so far from the store I figured we'd get hit with extra install fees due to distance and travel time. We were not. Being so far away our deposit was taken over the phone and final payment was made a few days after install since it was the day before a holiday weekend which saved us a tremendous amount of time. Very pleased with the whole process and transaction. Our cost was well within range of other vendors and acceptable. Couldn't have asked for anything more during the whole process. I just figured that it is a good business practice to take care of the customer. Good turns are always returned. Well, two attempts for alternatives were ignored. You probably think there are no other carpet stores in Porterville, but there are. Rainbow has the business practice of "If we can't help you, no one else is either." We have been fighting to get it fixed for almost a month. It was scratched in 3 places and their highly recommended installer is nowhere to be found. He has promised to be out several times but never comes, phone calls not answered and not able to leave a voice message. Alex informed me that they only sell the product, not interested in what their recommended installer does. Still waiting to see if they'll stand behind their highly recommended installer.
