We had cheeseburgers and fries. Our server was prompt and happy to be there. The drink selection is enormous. Everything from a draft beer to Pappy Van Wrinkle bourbon. They'll even make you smoked drinks with the smoking boards or smoke infuser. People were bowling, having fun, dancing, and just plain being friendly. Not being from this town, we never met a stranger all night. Later in the evening we had the homemade pizza. It was as good as any pizza we've ever had. Definitely going back the next time we're in town.

Fun fact: pinball machine for fifty cents, dart boards and a pool table along w some video gambling machines. Trivia on Wednesday nights. I felt like these strangers were already my friends even though we didn't say a word to each other. There were a variety of ages ( seems like late 20 and up) primarily middle age looking patrons. There was 1 bartender but she seemed more than able to handle herself behind the bar. If you want food, you'll have to bring it in from elsewhere, but it was a good experience, and I want to check it out for trivia night one Wednesday.

I had a 4oz filet. I asked for rare. Was cooked more blue, but I was happy with that. No offer of steak sauce. Fine with me because I prefer salt and butter. Baked potato was actually great! Mac and cheese was not anything to write home about. Salad was huge - took it back to my hotel. Haggerty's was busy in a small-ish town for a Thursday night. I don't drink, so no comment on any alcohol except to say the Cosmo looking drinks at a table nearby looked great in frosty glasses. There were a few large groups lingering and chatting. Several other single eaters at the bar who seemed happy. Some family style meals going on - groups of 4 or 5. Overall, I'd say this is good spot to go for a steak if you're craving one. I'd return.

Thankfully I have 60 chickens and had some hardboiled eggs in fridge so I did my own and I always have blue cheese in my fridge. But, I paid for two Club Salads and they were incomplete. I am beginning to get frustrated with the service industry always expecting or feeling entitled to tips and they cannot perform their assigned duties.

First visit to this location. Much better experience here…read more I was politely and quickly seated and greeted by my server. I liked that they have a lunch menu, which includes a sandwich, side, and non alcoholic beverage for $10. My choice was the ECU smash burger, which included two patties, chili, slaw, and mustard. Side was the Cajun dusted fries, and a sweet tea. While waiting, I noticed two local things - the stage for the ECU Pirate Radio show, which airs live at this location on Mondays, and just a few tables away from me WNCT's Sportscaster legend Brian Bailey! The wait wasn't long, and the burger was delicious. I enjoyed the fries and dipping them in ranch sauce. Very pleasant experience.
