I have been under the care of these men and women for over 3 years and I can say that they are the…read morebest Home health i have encountered in redding. Other companies would never be on time and these nurses call or text when they are even 15 minutes late. Recently had a problem with supplies being ordered and the office to care of it all. I have had amazing experiences with all of them and they are very kind considerate and extremely helpful.

So they schedule according to their own needs not the patient's needs or the health of the patient…read more Steve who they say is a supervisor is sadistic and will threaten to cancel all of your loved ones services and will yell at your loved ones. I truly do not know how people are allowed to keep a job acting this way. They schedule at noon at lunch time and do not care that your loved one with a head injury needs to stick to his schedule and can't do activities while hungry. They call you the night before about when you have an appointment which makes scheduling doctor appointments nearly impossible. They have our doc appointments but still try to schedule home visits during or close to those times. They say they are going to be "in your area" so they want to schedule home visit when it is easiest for them. We are supposed to get a certain amount of days per week and if you call to ask why that is not happening they hang up on you and threaten to end your entire case. They say they care about health but that is obviously not the case. They care about their own life and schedule. Trying to be a full time care giver and you can't get something as basic as "who is his case manager?" answered is ridiculous. Are they incompetent or just rude and uncaring or both? Mostly one star reviews saying the same thing. I asked how to make a complaint and they hung up on me. I asked who the supervisor to Steve is and they said "he's it" and refused to tell me. They told me to "call the hospital" but why is it they don't have this info? Every agency has a way to file a formal complaint. But they either are incompetent and truly do not know or are hiding that info. So on top of being a full time 24 hr a day caregiver and being stressed and exhausted and our loved one trying to learn to walk again and missing his PT appointments for the sake of the PT's needs we also get to deal with this abuse from the office when we try to get some info and get his 2 days of PT. If they cancel his home health care... that is called RETALIATION and it is illegal.

Quality of care!! My…read morehusband suffered a stroke in Dec. 2025 and was admitted to ICU. He remained in ICU for over a month, overly sedated & restrained for unreasonable purposes. Why would someone overly sedated with horse tranquilizers need restraints??!!! He did not receive proper hygiene, hydration or mouthcare which resulted in bed sores and severe dehydration!!! I also noticed bruising on arms and inner thighs which have been documented & photographed for legal purposes!! After enduring my husband's treatment or better words, lack of appropriate care, I demanded him be discharged and transferred to Accute Rehab-SAC immediately! There he received dignified care & treatment. His recovery much improved tremendously!! TO BE CONTINUED...

Very professional and clean - yeah, I know that's to be expected at a hospital, but you know there's a big difference between levels of 'professional' and 'clean', and I'd say this hospital definitely ranks best out of the 6-10 I've been encountered in my life. My surgeon said he can't do as many surgeries in a day at this hospital compared to the other one in town. At the other one, patients are pushed through a lot faster -which he likes - but he understood that from the patient's perspective it's probably better not to be ran through as quickly. Personally, I LIKE to know I'm not on a conveyor belt for surgery, but being cared for in the best way. I'd choose them again. Kudos to everyone who is patient facing at Mercy Medical!

The quality of care given is very neglectful. The medical staff ignores patients needs and hygiene…read more I have seen patients fall out of bed and the staff didn't seem to care. When I asked for pain medication for my loved one, it took the staff almost an hour to get. So my loved one sat in pain. I don't recommend this place for anyone, but if you're having to go to a place I would recommend any where other than here.

If your love one is in the hospital and has a choice of where to be discharged do not go here. The…read morefirst reason is they are unstaffed with nurses, and aids. Most the ones they have are good and are nice, but management/owners load them down with to many patients, and they cannot be in two rooms at the same time. Mom had to continually hit here call button to try to get attention for someone to eventually come. The second reason is food. I would be there at some of moms meals, and she would taste and, start crying. I would say mom what is wrong? She said the food is horrible. Wanting to prove her wrong I said here, let me try it. I tried it and SHE WAS right, most the times just complete tasteless cheap slop. Mom continue to loose weigh here as she would taste a meal and then let it go back to the kitchen. We brought her some meals just so we would know she was eating, but were not able to be there for every meal. How are patients supposed to get strong and recover to go home when they do not eat healthy good TASTING food? The third thing is the rooms are small, and the place is in need of a remodel.

If your elderly family member still has cognitive awareness, don't walk, run away from this place!…read moreI wouldn't let my worst enemy live here. Staff treat people like things. They use agency personnel that are barely trained and very rude to the elderly residents. They are in cahoots with the ombudsman si no consequences ever happen when they treat people poorly. My mother was admitted to Marquis from Mercy Hospital after having a fall at her home and,…read moreapparently, suffering a mild stroke. At 97, mom was suffering from bouts of dementia, but with rotating caretakers, was still able to live at home. It was decided to move mom to Marquis for "comfort care" as she displayed all the signs of nearing the end and I just wanted to make sure she didn't suffer. (All the paperwork and details were sorted in an expedient and organized fashion, so I didn't have to worry about any of that and could focus on my mother). She wasn't happy being in the hospital and wasn't all that jazzed about being moved to Marquis for rehab... However, it didn't take long for the staff to earn her trust. Her primary nurse, Robin (I hope I got that spelling right), was outstanding. She knew I was in from out of town and that I needed all of the information I could get and she ALWAYS made herself available if I had any questions. When she wasn't there, the other nurses did a wonderful job with mom. My mother was an extremely independent and proud person and did not like to allow anyone to do anything FOR her - but she let down her guard with the staff at Marquis and trusted them enough that her last week was as peaceful as could be expected. I am sincerely grateful for the care provided to my mother by the staff at Marquis - especially the personal attention they paid to mom - rather than just treating her like another body. Mike Ray
