Extremely poor communication. My partner was scheduled for a colonoscopy, but was not given specific fasting instructions, so it was a waste of his time. I was told to come pick him up, and I called back to say I was on my way, but that message wasn't passed along to my partner. In the meantime another lady from the office called me and said my partner was all nervous that I hadn't been in contact, when in fact I had. The people making phone calls and receiving phone calls weren't communicating with each other. read more

My first time getting an endoscopy and a colonoscopy done and lets just say I would 100% recommend Redding Endoscopy. I'm in my 20s and was very nervous as this was my first time and have a fear of being under sedation. The nurses were very comforting and extremely nice and explained everything to me. Went in for a routine Colonoscopy. Apparently, there was a complication. Woke up with razor blade pain in my throat, no voice and trouble breathing. They never informed my husband of the issue, just wheeled me out to the curb. Ended up in the ER 2 days later with Aspiration Pneumonia. Dr Dhanuka never once came into recovery to check on me or explain what happened. I will never go back to this facility. read more

I just had my first colonoscopy this week. I was really nervous but everyone at this place from reception, to the nurses, to the anesthesiologist, to Dr. Chandra put me at ease. They have they're team dialed in pretty well and the whole thing was a smooth process. They even give you pictures with report of your colon at the end. Which I think is interesting. Granted, this hole thing is an actual procedure and I didn't fully realize all that goes into it; but the only thing that sucked about it was the horrible drink you have to drink the night before, but that's not their fault. I will totally go back to this place for my 10 years later visit. read more

The building was clean from the outside in,everybody there was very helpful starting with Ebony at the reception desk to Lillian, who prepared me and Jay smith the anesthesia person he walked me through the whole procedure and explained everything very thoroughly and Dr.Spinka was wonderful. I received a referral to the Redding Endoscopy Center through my doctor for an endoscopy procedure. It took them about two weeks to get in touch with me. When I spoke to them, they took my insurance information and said that they would check to see if it was covered before scheduling. I was to wait for them to do that and return my call. Over a month went by and they didn't call. I went back to my doctor for a check-up and she had to call them to find out what was going on. She said that they had gotten approval and that I should call them to set up an appointment. When I got home, I call and was given two appointments, one with a 3:15 check-in for a pre-op, and one for the procedure, with a 6:15 check-in. When I came to the first appointment to answer questions and pick up my paperwork packet, I checked in at 3:13. The waiting room was empty. When I was called in, I went into a small office with a woman who reviewed my packet. She said that the computer had me down for an earlier appointment. I explained that when I scheduled, I was given a choice of 9:45 or 3:15. She claimed that I had a 3:00 appointment, which was not true, and that I was late. She told me to come back the following Monday at 6:15 a.m. to check in for the procedure and to fast and complete the paperwork. Well, today, I got there at 6:10 a.m. and went to the desk to check-in. Two other women came in shortly after me. When I checked in, the receptionist asked who was doing my procedure. I told her that I wasn't given a name and handed her all of my completed paperwork which indicated the date and time, 6:15, in high-lighted text. She asked me to wait while she checked. After that, the other women were checked in and processed. About 30 minutes went by and she finally called me to the desk. She stated that although I had an appointment scheduled, there was no doctor available to do the procedure. She said something about a computer glitch, then asked if I would like to come back at 9:15, since, luckily, they happened to have an opening. I told her I would, since I had rearranged meetings at work and had taken the day off to have the procedure today, not to mention that I was fasting all food and water and had gotten up at 4:30 am, so we could drive the 30 minutes to Redding from our home. So, an extra one hour of driving and money spent on gas, I am not very pleased with the service and lack of organization that I have experienced so far. I am ready to drive back now. I was very happy overall with my experience at this place. All of the employees that I had contact with were polite and helpful. I got good vibes from all of them. I felt welcome as a patient. I had an excellent experience from start to finish at Redding Endoscopy. I was not sure what to expect, but drinking the prep was no big deal, after getting to the center the staff was efficient, friendly, and professional. This procedure is completely no big deal. The nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr. Liu made me feel comfortable though out the procedure, which was over quickly and had me on my way. I had my first experience at Redding Endoscopy on 3-10-22, going In I was a little nervous and anxious having two procedures for the first time. The receptionist were so helpful and kind making me feel welcome. My first nurse named Marie was absolutely the best! She knew I was nervous so she took time to explain everything. She was gentle in Prepping me with my IV and made sure to expl everything as she did it. Then I met my anesthesiologist Eric who also was so wonderful, kind explaining everything that he will be doing step by step assuring me that I am in great hands. Next was Dr. Lui who was kind with a great sen of humor, also very professional. He was great definitely recommend him! My assisting nurse Michelle was also very kind and wonderful. After my procedures my post op nurse (can't remember her name) to was great and so helpful!! My over all experience was great!! The patient care at this facility is wonderful. They really do spread human kindness. I would recommend them to all my friends and family! read more

RUDE!! RUDE!! RUDE!! I called the office to obtain information and Ruth and Susann left me on hold multiple times. Ruth was incompetent and should not answer any patient questions. When speaking to Susann she hung up on me before I was even done with my sentence. I asked for a manager which Ruth stated they don't have and was directed to Laurie the Center Director who was also very rude and didn't seem to care that her employees were unprofessional and rude to a future patient. If they are rude over the phone I could only imagine how bad they would treat you as a patient. read more

Let me start off with the bad!I had a Endoscopy done. Please do not sign the paperwork for the Anesthesia as this will stop your insurance company from paying this bill and you will have to pay the $200.00 out of pocket. Because they give you the deep sedation and not the light sedation and therefore you are stuck paying this bill! The anesthesia company is Eric Bartley CRNA! AS for the doctor who did the endoscopy Doctor Eickhoff I give him and his staff a five star rating as he did a great job and he answered every question I asked. Just remember when you go into that little room with the girl who wants you to sign that one piece of paper about the anesthesia DON"T DO IT! It will cost you so make sure she signs a paper stating that you will not be charged the $200.00 and that they will not give you the deep sedation! It isn't needed for a Endoscopy or a colonoscopy. Staff was amazing! Competent, professional and excellent bedside manner. They were very cautious and knowledgeable about my heart condition in relation to putting me under. I didn't wake up at all during the procedure (my fear) and came out of the drug induced state fully within a few hours. The next day the nurse even called to see how I was doing. Wow! I didn't think in a million years I would ever be writing a review for one of the most unliked checkups in the world, but I am. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy (happy 50th birthday) at the Redding Endo Center for Friday morning. I started drinking that wonderful (sarcasm) kick-a-poo joy juice Thursday night, needless to say, it does not work well or fast enough in my system therefore going through the whole c-scope process resulted in... "Unable to complete due to poor prep". Uuggghhh. Proceed to the doctors office for other options. Different prep , new appt. 2nd c-scope screening in 1 week, prep completed (wowza) arrive at the butt crack of dawn, sign in and was confronted with insurance information that did not make me happy at all! They didn't want to pay :( The billing staff at the endo center worked their butts off to make it work, and the nursing staff went above and beyond to make me a comfortable as possible even though I had delayed the procedure by 2 hours going back and forth with insurance . Dr. Dhanuka even came in to speak to me himself and told me not to worry , every thing would work out ok. These people were fantastic! Now that I know what prep to use, I am not worried about booking my next one... (10 years from now!) because every single person I came into contact with there was AWESOME! and the procedure ... a breeze! read more

DO NOT SIGN the form they give you that says you agree to pay $200.00 if the anesthesia they use isn't covered by your insurance. Before I had my colonoscopy, I made sure Blue Cross would pay for everything. They said they would, if the anesthesia I was given was called "Twilight". Twilight is what is normally used in this procedure. I then called Redding Endoscopy (R.E.) and was told they use "Twilight". When I went for my appointment, I was asked to sign a form that said if my insurance doesn't pay for the anesthesia, I would have to pay $200.00. I signed it because they told me they would be using "Twilight", and Blue Cross said they would pay for it. I mistakenly assumed that R.E. wouldn't proceed unless I signed the form, so I signed it. Later I got billed for $200.00, and their excuse was they don't use "Twilight". I complained to Blue Cross and they said I did not have to sign that form and that R.E. would have performed the procedure without my signing it. Blue Cross is now going to file a grievance against R.E. on my behalf. DON'T SIGN THAT FORM! Make them tell you in front of a witness that they are using "Twilight", which is safer and better for you especially if you are a senior citizen!! read more

I took my elderly mother here for an endoscopy. The staff is amazing--everyone from the front desk person to all of the nurses in the back--everyone was kind, caring, warm and professional. They all went out of their way to make this a pleasant experience for the patient and the family member. It's a very busy place but well run and efficient. They did not skip a beat. Vaughn even helped me walk my mother out to the car and helped get her into the car. Seriously, you cannot get any better than that. Highly recommended in every aspect. read more
