My husband last week was admitted to Shasta Regional for kidney stones, anyone who had kidney stones before knows how painful this is. We also want to say thank you to Bryan Rupp (RN), for all you did for him. Please tell Bryan that Dave Hargreaves says thank you for going above and beyond. This young man is a great contribution to your hospital , and you need more nurses like him. But over all everyone in your hospital was very nice, friendly and helpful. Thank you.

They were under the impression that they needed to see him in order to obtain a referral to a specialist. During the appointment, my friend began explaining her mother's medical history and the reason for the visit. Unfortunately, Dr. Mohammad immediately became argumentative and repeatedly stated that her mother needed a specialist. My friend calmly explained that she understood this and that obtaining a referral was the reason they were there. Despite this clarification, he continued interrupting and raising his voice rather than listening to the concerns being presented. As the conversation became increasingly frustrating, my friend raised her voice in an attempt to explain the situation once again. She was then asked to leave the exam room, despite being her mother's primary caregiver, advocate, and support person. As she was leaving, she was reportedly told that she was no longer allowed in the building. The nursing staff were kind, professional, and compassionate when she later explained what had happened. However, she was unable to speak with a supervisor regarding the incident. Working with elderly patients, especially those with dementia and complex medical conditions, requires patience, empathy, and effective communication. In this case, those qualities were noticeably absent. Rather than taking the time to listen and understand the situation, the doctor appeared rushed, dismissive, and unwilling to engage in a productive conversation. Patients who cannot advocate for themselves depend on family members to do so, and that role should be respected rather than discouraged

Why would someone overly sedated with horse tranquilizers need restraints??!!! He did not receive proper hygiene, hydration or mouthcare which resulted in bed sores and severe dehydration!!! I also noticed bruising on arms and inner thighs which have been documented & photographed for legal purposes!! After enduring my husband's treatment or better words, lack of appropriate care, I demanded him be discharged and transferred to Accute Rehab-SAC immediately! Very professional and clean - yeah, I know that's to be expected at a hospital, but you know there's a big difference between levels of 'professional' and 'clean', and I'd say this hospital definitely ranks best out of the 6-10 I've been encountered in my life. My surgeon said he can't do as many surgeries in a day at this hospital compared to the other one in town. At the other one, patients are pushed through a lot faster -which he likes - but he understood that from the patient's perspective it's probably better not to be ran through as quickly. Personally, I LIKE to know I'm not on a conveyor belt for surgery, but being cared for in the best way. I'd choose them again. Kudos to everyone who is patient facing at Mercy Medical!

DO NOT under any circumstances seek medical care at Anderson walk in clinic Palo cedro office…read more. Here's why: I have had the Palo cedro office specifically assigned as my primary doctor for 7 years with no complaints. However, two months after I had my son I went in for postpartum care. I was told they would only see me for one issue at a time that postpartum care wasn't an issue. I had to specifically list the problems I had and then they would only treat me for one of those issues. I would then have to make an appointment for each additional issue there on. OK no problem. That's a very weird policy but whatever I'm a rule follower so I'm following these rules. I said I should first get on birth control and the doctor said: "OK then just go to Planned Parenthood. I don't know why you're seeing me?" and I said: "I need to be referred to a women's health clinic so I can get postpartum care she said yeah plan parenthood will do that for you" so I then left that doctors appointment not being helped at all by them.. due to the domestic violence I was encountering at home I was forced to flee days later following that appointment and switch counties my insurance was then dropped (not their fault) but I was unable to continue searching for postpartum care until I was covered again.. (very important because had they seen me and treated me that day I'd probably not need such dire medical attention today!) ...fast forward to today... I had an appointment today at 1:30. I went in and for some reason at no fault of the walk-in clinics whatsoever my insurance didn't have them down as my primary care doctor anymore. I said: "OK no problem. Is there anyway we can fix it? I need to be seen by a doctor today. A little backstory on my health. I have been very dizzy. I think I'm either anemic or I have low blood pressure and I either need to be seen by a doctor today or I should probably go to the ER cause it's getting pretty bad." The receptionist then laughed at me argued with me saying that there was no way for her to fix anything or for me to be seen by a doctor today. I then said very calmly. I said: "you know, I'm not trying to be rude but I've been getting really terrible postpartum care from you guys. This is now the second time that I've come here and I've been turned away with no help whatsoever and it's a little discouraging" And she said: "Then why do you keep coming back?" I ignored that comment because I knew she was just trying to be rude and I wasn't trying to be rude to her and so I said: "Look this is the Care I've been receiving from you guys.. " and calmly tried to explain my previous experience. She did not listen she continued to yell over me. She then stood up over the desk and started yelling at me, screaming at me, I asked her not to yell at me.. She then started yelling at me to get out of her office the doctor then walked forward and started walking her body towards me in a very aggressive manner, pushing my stroller with my 8 month old in it, out the front door telling me to leave. I have not had any postpartum care at all because I have been assigned to this place as my primary doctor and I have many issues going on and nobody has done their job to help me. I left the appointment today feeling incredibly discouraged. I have not had any help with my postpartum treatment. I have a lot of problems with my health. I have called my insurance and I filed a grievance, however for any of my friends who are in the healthcare industry specifically dealing with postpartum women Please treat them kindly. It's already such a scary feeling to not know Daily what's going on with you and New symptoms coming up because your body is healing and having to take care of children that there is no book on parenting especially as a single mother we already put ourselves last. My kids have never missed a doctors appointment Yet. I have a very hard time because I have very little help getting into the doctor for myself and I just feel lost and I wish that the Palo Cedro medical clinic was properly trained and capable of understanding that. They should have never sent a postpartum woman who has had no postpartum care whatsoever out of their clinic today Without having any help from a doctor when I'm clearly needing it. it's unfortunate how disgusting humans could be that clinic should be shut down permanently and those employees in that office today should be fired! Period.

We drove to three different urgent cares (all closed) before calling Hilltop and making sure they were open. They told us to fill out an online form and that a nurse could help him triage from the car (because we were from out of town they didn't want us to enter). However, when we arrived, they changed their tune, saying they "may not" be able to see him and that they would have to decide. After begging a rude receptionist over the phone who ignored my friend's pain and made his urgent need for help about her ("I'm sorry sir I do t know who you spoke to before but you don't need to take it out on me!") Someone came out and told us to take pictures of the burn and email them, and they *may* be able to see him in 2 hours. Keep in mind he has a bad burn and is in need of immediate treatment. We decided to leave and seek help at a pharmacy instead. Who knew you could get better help for free from the staff at CVS inside Target than the people at a an urgent care clinic... The website says the 5 physicians started this clinic to help patients with minor emergencies. Looks like they strayed from the path. We were treated like second class citizens here. If your care needs are urgent, I urge you to reconsider seeking help from Hilltop.

It took well over an hour and it got to the point where even the lady at the front desk had to go check why i hadn't been called back yet. Once i finally got taken back i was in the room for not even a full 3 minutes with the Doctor Justin. He wouldn't let me finish a sentence and kept talking over me as i was trying to explain my symptoms. He told me he was prescribing me an antibiotic that does not work for me as he was opening the door to leave the room. I explained that I've taken it many times before and i no longer respond well to that medicine. All he said was "thanks for letting me know". He did not explain or say anything about the alternative medicine he would be prescribing to me. It then took the office over 6 hours to send my prescription to my pharmacy. I had to call them 3 times asking them to push it through because i was in pain and needing my medicine. I just kept being told that it would "only take a couple hours". Finally once i was able pick It up is when i found out he prescribed me something completely different than what he told me in person in the office. Overall i felt extremely dismissed and unheard. I left extremely upset.
