They hire outside contractors and never personally check out the work before paying your money to these outside contractors for poor quality service. We signed up for a kitchen remodel that was supposed to be finished in 3 months, instead it took them 8 months to finish using subpar contractors whose work had to be redone several times over. After finally finishing my project in June, several cabinets are now warped and the project manager claims that they are not under warranty anymore and insists that I send them the measurements instead of them coming over to follow up on their work. I feel they are unwilling to stand behind their work, while they claim they will. The value of their work is not worth the headache of extended time to completion, showing up late to work, and having to redo work by outside contractors numerous times. Not to mention the numerous lies we were told to put us on hold so they could finish other projects. Overall a bad experience.

My…read moreboyfriend and I found them in 2006 through a friend and they ended up helping us with some major projects in flipping a house (near Turner Field). They did such a good job that another friend of ours hired them to help with his house flip (in Brookhaven) as well and they always completed their jobs on time and on budget. Recently, I found an old leak behind a wall in the laundry and they were able to come out in a timely manner, give me a reasonable quote, and schedule for the fix within 2 days. If you have any construction or repairs around the house, I would highly recommend calling these guys for a free quote. There's really no job too big or too small. Whether you need your roof completely replaced, want to redo your kitchen cabinets/counter, build a new deck, or you just need help replacing your kitchen disposal, they'll be able to help you out. And because they can do practically everything (or they have other people who they can call for things out of their specialty), it'll most likely be friendlier on your wallet as well compared to hiring various specialists. In my case, I would have had to hire a plumber to fix the leak, a sheetrock person to replace the moldy section of my wall, and a painter to repaint the new patch in the wall. NOTE: They are literally a 2-person company so don't expect to call and get a secretary (the number listed is their personal cell phone) or schedule way in advance (I don't think they own an appointment book). Jobs are really first come first serve and dependent on the size. If you call, expect for them to schedule a meeting within 2 days and start the job within a week.

Hired the carpenter to install new front doors that came with a jamb. Paid top dollar ($1200.) only…read moreto have multiple areas of damage to our brand new doors (see attached photos). The doors are fiberglass and the manufacturing company told me it would take a major blow to crack and indent the exterior surface of this door. When I pointed out the damages to the jamb to the carpenter, I was told "it came that way." They did not come that way. It took 2 days for 2 supposedly experienced carpenters to install doors that they had to remove after fully installed to correct problems that kept the doors from shutting. They were almost almost an hour late each day. They took 3 to 4 cigarette breaks per hour. They were not prepared with basics such as screws of various lengths, tools needed to plane a warped area in the opening for the door, spray foam to seal gaps in spaces, etc. I reached out to the carpenter and he flatly denied any damage occurred due to their installation and work with our doors. No willingness to assume any responsibility for their substandard work. Use caution if you hire this company. We have to buy another door to replace the damaged one.
