Both times the clerk informed me that the restroom was out of order. upon further inquiry I was informed that the bathroom wasn't going to be repaired as it is too expensive to repair and is not profitable. I asked the staff what they do and a salesclerk informed me that they go to the bathroom behind the store. This is a health issue, a public disservice, and shows shows a total lack of concern for loyal customers.

He expertly explained the differences between the gas and electric models of the equipment she was interested in, and found a good deal on one of the products that was on sale. We also got an extra battery for one of the tools as a promotional deal that we weren't aware of. We purchased all of her new toys... er.. uh... "tools," and Adam assisted in registering them for warranty. This is a great hardware store, and they have lots of products. Chances are they have exactly what you need! I showed up 45 minutes after placing the order to pick up said lawnmower and the manager looked up my order and said it was processing and not ready yet. Went to my car to wait for an email I would receive saying the lawn mower was pulled from the floor and waiting for me. I walk back into the store after waiting over an hour to find out they sold my lawn mower to someone else. They cancelled my order in front of me and said there were now none in stock. No one would help rectify the situation and the fact I had been sitting in the parking lot waiting for a lawn mower I had purchased. Wanted to speak to the manager or owner and none could be reached. Terrible way to do business! Ace Hardware's brand promise is as follows: Deliver helpful, neighbourly service to every customer--every time. They failed on every part.

I literally had no idea where I was so it seemed like "do I turn here?! Can it possibly be this far along this road!!? Where the heck am I!!?" but then there it was. It's a great little place very much with a country General Store vibe. It's an Ace so it's got a bit of everything and better quality goods generally than HD and/or Lowe's, but nowhere near the size. Very nice, helpful service. Now that I'm a bit more familiar with the area, I don't think it's any farther away than HD or Lowe's so for basic hardware items I think it's a neat place to go.

They will go out of their way to help a customer, ordering whatever they don't have, and repairing broken tools. Recently I brought my broken pitchfork in and they burned out the splitting wood, pried out the remains and replaced the handle. They sharpen my mower, clipper and knife blades, give advice on pool products, and stock hay, straw, chicken feed, dog food, mulch, compost, seeds, fertilizer, seedlings, kitchen supplies, you name it. We're lucky to have them close at hand.
