Yes, you can have emergency sporting goods. Ever realize that the river froze in front of your parents place and you need hockey sticks and pucks? STAT??? Well, Canadian Tire saved me. The staff are always friendly and helpful and will give you any advice you need on projects or equipment you need to buy. Myself, I can't go in there and not pick up something. Oh, and the gas bar out front (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/canadian-tire-gas-bar-gananoque) typically has competitive gas prices and gives you Canadian Tire money with your purchase so that you can go back and get an emergency bag of pucks.

Bit by bit as things broke or wore out I brought my bike into Frontenac Cycle for repairs. All parts that were replacing the worn out original parts were a definite upgrade in quality. As of this review my pedals, sealed cartridge bearings, freewheel, handle bars, ergo grips and thumb shifters have all been upgraded and the cost did not break the bank. I have been very impressed with the professional knowledgeable staff and hope to have a long enjoyable cycling relationship with Frontenac Cycle. It's nice to know these days where you can go for great service at a very good price . p.s. my bike now is nothing like it was when I bought it new,it is so much better.

The guy that dealt with me was really friendly, and assured me that they'd have things tuned up and ready to get back on the road by the next afternoon. Excellent. When I arrived back to pick it up, they almost let me leave without paying, which was a funny moment, but after things were settled up, I was able to see that they did a great job servicing my ride. I'll be coming back in future for sure. There is also a good selection of gear and accessories, so if you are looking for fenders, racks, gloves, locks, or lights, they likely have something to meet your needs.

I also advised them that I have a medical exemption from wearing a mask and they have refused to render me a service unless I wear one. Their excuse is to protect their elderly patients . I proceeded to send them the Public Health Order regarding public health exemptions and they did not budge. I am currently in the process of filing a Human Rights complaint . Upon reiterating concerns regarding my disability, they stated that I would be REQUIRED to wear a mask in the common areas, but not when I meet with the doctor. Please be aware that they do not make accommodations due to undue hardship for those patients with disabilities.

There was absolutely no effort made to compensate me for my trouble, rather i was told that I could re-schedule a week later. I sent a complaint to the parent company Luxotica, but was given a run-around and directed to a non-functioning complaint form. This used to be a good place to go, but in my opinion the customer service has gone downhill. I will be looking for a local optometrist that is not part of a huge multinational enterprise.
