went into the store and a gentleman proceeded to not let me and my daughter leave with our cart. kept saying we didn't pay even though i insisted i had. finally I took my stuff out cart and left. asked for his name he smirked and said make sure you spell it right. (side note the lady at self checkout was very kind and professional as well) when I called store to speak to manager, this Perry hung up on me. the manager however was very professional. im waiting for the store to right this wrong and if so ill update this review. but to scare my kid and cause drama over 13$ worth of groceries is crazy. I had one bag and a gallon of milk. doesn't seem enough to hold a customers cart and not allow them to leave with their purchase! ive filed complaints and am waiting for some action from the store. this isnt ok price chopper ! read more

From out of town, so not sure if it's the people that frequent this store, the people of this town, or the people of new york, but everyone was rude, arrogant, and self serving. Go in, get a cart, and I'm standing in front of the cheese selection. Maybe 2 foot from the display. An older woman walks up and wedges her way in between be and the display, actually touching and forcing me out of the way, to get some potato salad. Never even acknowledged I was there or that she had touched me. Get my stuff then head to deli line. In line, and an obese man in a wheel chair rolls up and stairs at me. I thought he wanted by so I back up. He then proceeds to get in line in front of me. As there are people behind me I point this out to him. He just stared at me and says nothing. From there I get the rest of my stuff and get in line at a register. Get all the way up there, and as the lady in front of me leaves I start putting my stuff in the belt. The lady at the register then walks away. I finish putting my stuff on the belt waiting for her to return. After about 4 minutes, I just walk out, leaving everything where it was. Still have no idea what was going on in there. read more

I came in to the store to get some items with my 6 month old daughter tonight around 725pm. Once I arrived at the self checkout, an associate named (Mayala or Makayla) I hope im spelling it right, came up to me. She looked at my daughter and asked why she has a rash on her face!! I began to tell her that she has sensitive skin and sometimes she scratches her face. She began to harass me and ask me what am I putting on her rash, how long has it been there!!!! I ignored her, didn't answer her question and told her that my wife and I knows how long it has been on her face. Then she leans in and points out that my daughter may have pink eye!! Then she tries to give me pointers based on her siblings. Im almost 40 and she is probably fresh out of High School or in her early 20s. She was very rude and condescending! My child is taken care of very well. She needs to mind her own business and just focus on pleasing the customer. As a manager myself, I wouldn't want anyone working on my team that treats people like this. NEVER COMING BACK AND WILL TELL PEOPLE REGARDING THE HORRIBLE CUSROMER SERVICE. read more

I bought $150 worth of groceries. Some front-end person was in a rotten mood. She came up to my cashier and said, "Did you get that Coke under the cart? ' I turned around and said to her, "I just paid for it. " - She said, "I wasn't asking you, I was asking him. " I responded, "Are you accusing me of stealing?" - She rolled her eyes, made this guttural sound and stormed off. I'm really disappointed with Price Chopper in Watertown. I shop there and I have my prescriptions sent there. Today I needed an important prescription but I was too sick to drive to get it. I checked online and found that they would deliver for $5. So, I called the pharmacy. They told me that Watertown Price Chopper doesn't do this and that I could have it mailed out but that would not happen until next Tuesday, 4 days from now. I finally called Chris's Cab and he delivered. Now I will not only start using a pharmacy that will deliver but I will be checking everything when I shop at Price Chopper. I don't trust them anymore. read more

I'm not very good at price comparing but I know this place isn't outrageous. I had to start all over post deployment, buying basic foods all over again. I got a decent amount for a decent price and I love their fruit selection. I wish they had more humus, and that some of their items were together (garbage bags were in 2 aisles on different sides of the store.) I got 12 cents off a gallon of gas for spending $130, I was pretty excited. Will probably shop here often. read more

They're selection is as decent as any regular grocery store but they don't really carry any hard to find items to make me WANT to come here unless I was already in this shopping center. Less expensive than Walmart, however if you're able to go to the commissary it's a significant savings to shop there instead. read more

Don't go here on Sunday mornings...holy hell! Yes I use coupons, but not to excess, and if you want to use a coupon from the Sunday paper, good luck, it's more likely that the shelf will look like the zombie apocalypse has occurred. What I like about Price Chopper: Groceries are really damn expensive up here, if you haven't lived somewhere else, it is beyond excessive compared to other places in the US. I like that I get a break on gasoline when I spend the national deficit in this store. read more

great place to hit sales, as long as you watch their prices---i've seen them jack the price of meat up per pound for BOGO sale type stuff. they accept competitors coupons, usually do my majority of shopping here. its not crowded, they're quick, huge store, great rewards program w/gasoline, and they're the first circular I grab when meal planning for the week to start comparing to the other stores. they do a decent job and staff is helpful, easy to get to off I-81, good parking lot. read more
