First time shopping in Hannaford's, although I lived in New York State in the past this wasn't a store I had ever grocery shopped at or stopped in to pick up something. However, I stopped in yesterday to check it out. The store is very open and the shelving units are very low. The aisles are short and are on both sides of the store. There is a deli, bakery, fresh produce, and the frozen section tucked away in the back of the store. Nothing about the store really wowed me, it's a grocery store, nothing fancy. The store seems a little outdated in my opinion and it's not as bright and vibrant as others. They had the brand "taste of inspirations" which is a brand that Giant, a grocery store back home has that I shop at. At least I can say that I've been inside. read more

Hannaford - Front Entrance - Grocery Near Me - Watertown, New York

This is our first time ordering curbside pickup from Hannaford and they did a great job. Notifications were prompt and accurate. Usually, we purchase our groceries from Walmart but will choose Hannaford in Watertown from now on. The gentleman that handled our pickup was polite and helpful. Hannaford had items in stock that Walmart never has and the prices were as good if not better. read more

This Hannaford is our go to whenever we are in Watertown. They have pretty much everything you could want (although lacking in the ethnic food areas--this is Watertown after all, not the most diverse place on the planet) and the store is easy to navigate. The customer service is always friendly and attentive, whether at the register or at the bakery or seafood area. I have found that Hannaford may be pricier on some things, while Price Chopper is more expensive on others (and the store is more crowded, customer service lacking). read more

I absolutely love this store! It's the place you want to go if you want to shop for great food for a great price without a million people clogging up the isles. They have a great selection of organic/specialty foods in a separate areas which is nice. The staff are always pleasant and will help you find whatever you need. Clean, neat, not crowded. They had Hermits! And Pretzel Rolls! Customer service is at the first register, and they were able to exchange 2 rolls of quarters for a twenty. We are staying at a campground and needed quarters for the laundry room. So I like Hannaford's. read more

I have not been this angry and repulsed with a grocery store in my life. This visit required 3 visits and disputes with staff members to finally resolve all the issues. It started yesterday when I came in to stop for dinner, breakfast and other grocery items. I came through the line and the lady was rushing me through. Before I could even take my card out of the machine she was already on to the next person. I asked her if I only had the three bags. She rushed me out in a rude tone saying "yes yes!" I got home and sure enough all the meat items we're still there. I called back only to find out they put it all back up on the shelves to be sold again! The response I got was "There's nothing we can do about it. We can't just leave it out!" At this point I'm raging because dinner should had been already on the table and I have to waste my gas money to drive clear across town to fix there mistake. When I got there the manager was nice helpful and gave me my items and a small amount on a gift card (which is the only reason I'm not giving this a one star review). I got home put everything in the fridge and made dinner. However the next day, when I just opened the ham (the breakfast item I bought) it was all slime. I put it back in the fridge and called again after work, but when I got there there were only MORE problems! One manager said I could exchange it for another item or get cash back, so I didn't have to wait for 7-10 business days to go on my card and fix THEIR mistake, but when a cashier was doing it, another woman (I assume a different manager) lit right into her and was rude with me. The one girl got nervous and made it sound like I left them ham out and it went bad (even though it came to me this way) and the woman getting on to the cashier started debating with me over it. Finally, she gave me cash and I just walked out. Don't shop there if you want to be treated with dignity and to be sure that your meat is going to be fresh! read more

Never been here without multiple Employees standing around chatting while People wait in 2 long lines. It's almost funny how they completely ignore customers. Managers included. They need some customer service classes STAT. read more

Went here for the first time, happy to see organic and vegan food options. Two things happened that changed my opinion about them. One, i bought miracle whip which was expired, and two i bought organic oranges cut one open when i got home, and they were seedless! I called and was told that i could return both items and get double my money. I did the very next day and they did in fact do that. read more

Love this place. The grocery stores around like price chopper is super expensive and old nasty produce. This place is reasonable and has a lot of variety with organic healthy stuff and good produce. Another difference I found compared to price chopper is Hannaford's is much cleaner. Won ton wrappers are $2.99 here whereas other was $7.99 for an old product read more

I love Hannaford stores - I like their products, and their friendly staff, and always find what I`m looking for. I like their baked good, deli meats, selection of cat food, produce section, and their selection of many foods that we are looking for. It is easy to get to their store, and they have many specials that I like. I like the friendly cashiers, when we check out. We always do our grocery shopping there. read more

Great place! ESP because of the gluten free aisle, some organic produce but my favorite of all is the cheese selection! My husband swears on the deli. It is our go to super market. Prices are reasonable. read more
