The reviews on YELP were positive for The Mustard Seed, so we had to check it out for ourselves. First impression was that I LOVED the smell of the store. It smelled like patchouli, sandalwood, and palo santo. I liked the variety of vitamins and other natural products in the store, including their selection of spices and herbs. The cafe is located in the back with seating inside and outside. My husband ordered the Harvest Salad and a soup and I had the Tuna Salad on a wrap with soup. Both of our meals were excellent and what we wanted for a healthy lunch. The Thai soup was flavorful and delicious, the tuna salad was light and fresh, and the harvest salad was fresh and the mix of the Gorgonzola cheese with the apples was very good. Highly recommend if you're passing through this area!

The 2nd one had more flavors but it looked less fresh. They do not allow dogs or skateboards in this area. They have live music and vendors that include baked goods, honey, local produce/vegetables/fruits, house decor, spicy jams, jams, cookies, cupcakes, food trucks, thinly sliced potato on a stick, and much more. It was a crowded event with lots of families/children. The sidewalk is narrow so people end up walking alongside the grass area. I like that this market is different than most farmer's market because of the craft element. I saw yarn animals, handcrafted wood furniture, and some other really neat craft projects.

But this place is the best place I've ever picked apples, they have many different varieties, many different grades, and many sizes of bags if you need to supplement your picking. And the prices are reasonable. Waddell's is finally an apple orchard where you can go and stock up on apples and come out feeling like the pies, sauces, and butters you're going to make are actually worth the time and cost.

However, I stopped in yesterday to check it out. The store is very open and the shelving units are very low. The aisles are short and are on both sides of the store. There is a deli, bakery, fresh produce, and the frozen section tucked away in the back of the store. Nothing about the store really wowed me, it's a grocery store, nothing fancy. The store seems a little outdated in my opinion and it's not as bright and vibrant as others. They had the brand "taste of inspirations" which is a brand that Giant, a grocery store back home has that I shop at. At least I can say that I've been inside.

Usually, we purchase our groceries from Walmart but will choose Hannaford in Watertown from now on. The gentleman that handled our pickup was polite and helpful. Hannaford had items in stock that Walmart never has and the prices were as good if not better.
