I've bought several vehicles from this place since 2011 and I've never had a bad car or truck .. service is great and they always get me things I need like tires and wiper blades .. out of all models I've driven the Chevy has the fewest repairs and parts replaced .. only vehicle that had the most problems was a Buick I got free once lol had 375,000 miles on it and it was my work car that got me around for a year til she up and died on me , but by then she got another 17,000 miles on it from friends and me and she was laid to rest in my friends junk yard lol ... my cousin bought a suv I bought here and she still has it .. I sold my truck I bought from here and the new owner was shocked why I sold it lol and how clean and well cared for it was .. I just wanted to try a car out again so I bought another car only to bring it here and get another truck this year that a pretty blue one ..I've had many colors in cars but never blue .. might have to put Batman on here somewhere lol read more

I purchased a used 201w Buick Regal Premium I back in Jam 2018. The Selman and staff seemed nice and trustworthy. After all it's a dealership, I should be able to trust them, right? I gots good deal, or so I thought. Not so much. Nearly everything they said was wrong - or a lie, I can't be sure. With in a few miles after driving the car off the lot my troubles started. The check engine light can on. I drove it back and had it checked. They found nothing. I took it back again and they said I need a new engine. What? Are they kidding me? Of course I'm stuck with it, buyer beware. No warrantees expressed or implied. I took it to my shop. The engine was basically fine, it needed a transmission. $4500 later it was good to go. So I thought. Over the next year I dumped thousands into this car. I've probably spent a total of nearly $10-11,000 including the purchase. It's nice car. It runs well now. No more problems. But it wasn't worth the good deal I got. Never trust a dealer ever. Do your homework. Get a used car checked independently - no matter what. I'll never do business with Red Wing again. read more

Went in to purchase a used car for my wife and met with George. He seemed nice, not pushy or anything. He let us test drive a car and things seemed okay. When we went to purchase the car, he said it was sold 'as is' because of a small oil leak. I thought, "Thats fine.. if its a small oil leak I can take it to the mechanic to get fixed right away and no problem." I took it to my mechanic who said not only was it a large oil leak, it also needed new front rotors and pads. Plus, the oil sludge was so built up, they had to clean it overnight. So that was 700 bucks down the drain. Then, to make matters worse, We got the car back and the engine died on it the next day. It lasted 8 days, 3 of which it was in the shop getting fixed. I understand As-Is, but thats F***ing insane. They knew that car was bad and were just dumping it on someone who doesn't know better. Now, they refuse to do anything to help us. So I've poured out $3000 between car and mechanic and I'm still without a car for my wife. read more

I spoke with the manager to who was very apologetic for the inconvenience for their lack of inspection of the vehicle. I am unsure of what could be done to rectify the situation. They offered a gas card when their response was posted and received not even worth a full tank. I mean half a tank of gas is I guess something, but it's quite a shame at the same time, since their response makes it sound like we came to a wonderful compromise. ‍ On another note: I would also like to add that Chris in finance is amazing, so at least they have that going for them. We experienced an issue with a refund on a service contract we decided to cancel and he was the utmost courteous and helpful. read more

Terrible customer service. I was ready to purchase a car from this dealership until I reached their sales team. I tried everyday for 1 week to connect with a sales representative. No matter the conduit I selected (Click to chat, web or phone) the sales person (and in this case "Manager") was unresponsive to my inquiry. Today I finally got in touch with the Sales Representative who never called me back as promised the previous days. (Yes, that's right, I said DAYS) Within 2 minutes of the conversation he said- "Well I have a customer here can I call you back tomorrow?" Seriously? Why did you even call me if you didn't have time. Moral of this story- I will gladly pay more for this exact same vehicle and select a dealership that values their customers. Don't go to this dealership. What a nightmare. read more

I went in to drive the new Buick Verano. Met with Kevin Kimmes and Joey Langfeldt. Both were professional, helpful and low-pressure.I didn't buy the car that day (wanted to wait for the 2013 model with the bigger engine option) but I ended up back two more times for minor car maintenance. The first time was an oil change for my 08 VW GLI. They were very reasonably priced and spent a few minutes going over the oil change and inspection they did on the car. I might have preferred to bring it to a VW dealer, but there is no one within 40 miles...turned out that bringing it to the Chevy dealer worked out just fine. (Although I would still go to the VW dealer for more critical repairs, obviously). Next return was for a bad wheel. One of my rims got damaged on a pot hole and they helped me get my car back on the road. I ordered a replacement wheel and they did the swap/balance for a reasonable price. If I owned a Chevy, Buick or Caddy, I would be happy to have them service my car. And if the 2013 Verano is as nice as I suspect it will be, they may earn my business as a buyer too. read more

Lots of good reviews, but MEH, I've had better. First the Good. Good price on a car! And salesman was awesome, other than said had new tires before I got there, and they weren't. Rest of this place I question. The Bad: Bought Certified Pre-Owned. But they didn't do anything to the car. CPO sheet said needs tires, they were worn PAST the limit of the CPO sheet, so should have been replaced. Weren't. Rest of the CPO sheet didn't find other things wrong that I did. And now 1,200 miles later the brakes are now at the wear indicators, NOT checked like they should have been on the CPO checklist! What else didn't they do? Like they say, true honesty is being trueful when no one is looking. If they didn't do the check list right when no one was looking, have a hard time trusting them. Bottom line: First CPO car I've bought, was NOT that great. CPO is suppose to take the worry out of a used car. I don't think this was any better then any other used car I've bought. And I have had better, where they actually did fix the problems and put on new tires, etc. If price is right, Red Wing is OK but won't go out of my way to go here. read more

Went in with an idea of what we wanted and the cash to buy and were severely disappointed. After taking their vehicle to a independent mechanic they pointed out several things that needed to be fixed. Of course the dealership tried to talk down to us and down play the importance. So we gave them another chance and took it to one more place, same diagnosis. After we brought this to their attention for the second time we were told "we won't fix that" and were told maybe this vehicle wasn't for us. Then what sucker is it for??!! I can't believe they would knowingly sell anyone that vehicle with the repairs not done. Yes, it was a used vehicle but it was a $100 fix on their end and a $600 fix on ours. I wouldn't go back and really have no reason to trust anyone at that dealership. read more

We had a supremely negative experience here when attempting to purchase a used car. (We had cash in hand). EVERY single trick in the "sales" training handbook 101 (circa 1960) was pulled on us. We are adults, we are not wide-eyed first time car buyers. As such, we were terribly insulted by how our salesman's insolent "manager" handled our so-called negotiations. After we left the dealership, the manager even texted back with a LIE in attempt to save face after we called his bluff. He was willing to lie to us ( this is what he said: "a buyer from ELY is on his way...he left at 5 am to look at this same car! I am pretty sure he will pay the full price.") That was his reason that he would not budge. We told him that it sounded like just another tactic to get us to buy the car.... and then we left. He later texted to us that the ELY people DID buy the car. Really? because I sent an inquiry the next day...and guess what? THE CAR WAS STILL AVAILABLE! One week later, STILL available. Our salesperson was fine and he was put into a terrible position with his "manager" losing the sale for him over $200. Our salesperson's manager created more ill will in less time than it took our salesperson to accompany us on our test drive. The follow up text made this entire experience insulting beyond belief. Oh, and guess what Red Wing Chevrolet? You don't ever have to worry about dealing with us again......as to the car that still sits on the lot? Good luck...maybe those ELY buyers will reconsider. Oh, wait! There were no Ely buyers....it was a sales ploy. Very disappointing, incredibly insulting. Chevy customer service. where. scott s. is not owner he general sales manager that ignores and insults people. tells you tough crapp and get ignored and lied to. all I get is there nothing you can do. Well they could if they want to but choose not to. Period. I recently purchased a vehicle at Redwing Chevrolet and traded in a car. I am not pleased with the transaction and felt compelled to voice my opinion. My wife and I thoroughly researched the Traverses and are pleased with the car so far. However I am very displeased with the trade in price we were given on our trade and the way the trade was handled, especially now that I see that they are currently listing it for, $6,900. The original offer from the salesmen was $2500, which is an insult since they are selling on various sites for between 6k and 9k. We should have left at that point, and I regret not doing so. After spending almost an hour tearing down our car, while avoiding discussing any shortcomings of the Traverse (needs tires, already on its 3rd owner, soft brakes), and leading us to believe that Kelly Blue book was inaccurate on both trade in price and retail, we did begrudgingly agree to $3400 for our trade in. Only to see the car current listing price on their web site is OVER the KBB price. The most upsetting part was the salesmen's adamant opinion that KBB was "well overpricing" and "very inaccurate" for our trade in after agreeing our trade was in excellent condition. When I brought my concerns up via email, I promptly received a call back from the dealership defending the original deal and trade in price and stating that they had to add $1500 of parts to the car and listed off 2 tires, a bearing, and a battery. I'm not sure where they are buying their parts from, but I hope they were gold plated, in every other shop that's maybe $400 worth of parts. And again, the salesmen would not address the shortcomings or our new vehicle. While my wife and I do take partial blame for accepting the trade in price, we were both upset over the current retail when out trade in price is taken into account as well as the response to our concerns after the fact. We will not be back to the dealership and will do our best to see that anyone who will listen does the same. read more
