They replaced the pump and the reservoir and sent me on my way with the power steering still broken. I could not even pull into a parking space - I almost hit another car. The power steering when turning was still broken!!!! I called their store immediately and was told that - well, we told you there was still a bit of a glitch!! They then said it needed a steering gear and that would be another $1500.00. They charged me $2400.00 to replace the steeing pump. My daughter has been helping me get in touch with the owner. That was a week ago - she has tried calling back into the store and he is always "out":...but they said he is working on it. I diagnose your car and let you know how many things are wrong. They said I needed a new battery - my battery wasn't only 6 months old. They lie and take advantage of people and do not stand behind their work or the lack there of!! They have christian music playing in their shop. They are NOT christians.

So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. After I left the tire shop, there was a clanking noise coming from one of tires. The tire shop couldn't find anything wrong and said there was probably something else loose in the car from hitting the water main so hard. My car is a VW and replacement parts are expensive, so another VW owner highly recommended Luis Alvarez Auto Repair cause they were local, honest, and fixed things right away. I called the shop at 1:30pm, they got me in at 2pm, and I was done by 3pm. Before he took it out, Luis showed me the small rock that was wedged down by the brake caliper. Efficient, inexpensive, and friendly.

There was one bad experience, where they didn't tighten the clamp on one of my hoses and all of my coolant leaked out on the highway. That was irritating beyond belief. Other than that experience, their service is good overall. Be warned, they are one of the few shops that will still charge a foreign car fee. I can't rate them higher than 3 stars because their pricing is on the high end. Not dealership service center high, but they consistently charge more than Medicar across the street and Cha's Auto Service down the road.

I brought it in for them to replace filter, and not only were they very rude about it they then overfilled oil by 1.5-2.5 quarts. I basically had to do the oil change all over again to get it at the correct level. I'll never go back to another tgk. Too many recent bad reviews to consider using them.
