Saw some Addidas shoes through DSW ad for their online store that sat in my shopping cart for a…read moreweek. Happened to be near my local DSW store and thought I'd see if I could try them one (first Addidas ever!) and try to give my "local business" my money instead of cyber space. Wow! What an experience. I started by asking the manager about them (she's got a killer accent!!) and she said they were shown as clearance, but not yet on the clearance rack. Did my regular full store shoe survey and found them in the regular lineup. I asked the manager again about them and if they'd ring up as clearance still but she said if they didn't she'd honor what I thought would be the online discount of $20 off (even though we read the disclaimer and it said Addidas was NOT eligible for the discount). Long story short, during check out I reread the offer and it was $10, not $20, BUT the cashier tried using the online code and actually found a 20% off voucher that she applied with the $10 off voucher. Am I a happy customer? You betcha! But what's even more important is I'm now a loyal, meaning more visits and more $$ in store instead of online, that the manager explained are two separate companies and the stores are not supported by them. Either way, as Arnold once said, "I'll be back!" Shoes for me and my three ever growing boys!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The guy who helped me spent a lot of time answering questions and helping me be sure I got the best fit- and I ended up with a less expensive boot than I expected (which never happens). They had really good sales at that time, and I ended up coming back the next day to get a new pack. On the following day, I found an equally friendly and knowledgable staff. Jos A Bank is a chain menswear shop offering discount suits, shirts, and some business-casual…read moreoptions. The prices are rather high, but drop steeply during sales periods, and alterations are extra. Sales people rotate three times a day, and although they try hard to be helpful, their powers are limited. Do allow lots of extra time for any alterations, even something as simple as getting pants hemmed. At a minimum, the store requires a week-and-a-half to hem pants. In my case, the tailor hemmed two pairs of pants to different lengths, with cuffs, although I asked for plain, and put a stain on the crotch. It took another week and 6 calls to the store to get the pants right, and 3 reminders to get the clothes pressed (supposedly included with all alterations). Graciously, the salesperson waived the alteration fee for the ordeal.
