Love this spot on Old West Main Street and we visit every time we're in Red Wing. The brewery is relatively new, but does a great job of drawing on local brewing history both in terms of ambiance and in the beers they make. The staff is super friendly and the food menu includes local ingredients like the Hanisch Bakery pizza crust. This visit we tried the October's Pizza-of-the-Month which was a Wisconsin Beer Cheese Pizza. Beer cheese sauce, cheddar cheese, summer sausage, onions, and white cheddar popcorn doesn't sound a winning recipe, but somehow it works. We also got a pepperoni, bell pepper, and olive pizza, and a couple great beers - the Work Boot Red and the Cokins Bavarian Fall Ale. Another great visit!

Nice spot for drinks, cocktails and light appetizers and pizzas! Family friendly and comfortable atmosphere with friendly service. Would definitely come again!

Inviting and extremely friendly staff, delicious made-to-order pizzas and a mix of self-made and "visitor" beers on tap, Red Wing Brewery is a must-stop for those visiting Red Wing.

The BBQ pizza is out of this world! Each bite is a journey of the senses. The onions, sausage, pepperoni, and the BBQ are glorious. I really need to call out the crust. It's flaky with a hint of a herb that I cannot figure out. I'm usually not a crust guy, but I cannot help but devour this crust. The owner/brew master quickly greeted us once we walked in the door. The environment is family-friendly. We noticed a family with their baby on the other side of this small quaint restaurant. The overall experience was fantastic. Red Wing Brewery has a customer for life! Don't forget to check out the pizza of the month. Beer cheese pizza is scrumptious! Cannot wait for January. Tater tot hot dish pizza!!! See you January!

Nice selection of beer. Guest taps, too. Cocktails also. The pizza was great. Spent grain crust. My wife got the Minnesota pickle ham cream cheese roll pizza. Surprisingly good: I had the Buffalo chicken pizza. Very good. Smallish seating area. Brewery visible from the dining area. We were served by the brewmaster himself.

This brewery has a real hometown feel. We were welcomed the minute we walked through the door and seated ourselves. We ordered pizza and got drinks. My husband had beer and I had a mixed drink. Both were very good. We noticed any vacated table immediately got cleaned off and readied for the next customer. It was well laid out with seating and we had plenty of room for the huge pizza and our drinks. The pizza was very good.

Great calm atmosphere and so nice to have a local spot in Red Wing like this brewery. Came in on a weekday after exploring the Barn Bluff, it was pretty quiet at the time. They have a pretty big pizza menu and had things like calzones if you're interested in a bite. The beer we both tried had a shot of something in it that I can't remember, something like black currant, mixed in. It was a nice addition and something I'd never tried before. 10/10 would recommend!

We'd arrived to Red Wing not an hour before, starting the move into our new house, and needed to celebrate our fresh start with some quality local pizza. We went with Red Wing Brewery based on online reviews and pictures. We were able to order right away and sat at a table right near the front of the restaurant. On that Thursday evening, much of their business was take-out, and we soon saw why--the food is freshly-made and that takes time. That was fine by us (though we know to call ahead next time!) as we enjoyed our drinks, chatted, and watched the street outside. My husband had a meat lovers pizza, my son had a custom cheese pizza, while I had the white pizza. They were all hot and tasty, and the cheesy garlic bread was delicious, too. Definitely a pizza place to order from again!

Spur of the moment road trip to Red Wing for an evening Barn Bluff hike with the kids and a late night snack at Red Wing Brewery. Incredible staff, delicious pizza and calzones and great beer make this brewery an obligatory stop when in Red Wing. The Hawaiian calzone is worth the trip alone. Can wait to have leftovers for breakfast. Did you know they employ a lot of local kids age 14 and up, and teach them how to run a business? Now that's cool!

One of the only places I've found a legit snake bite outside of the UK! Wish they had more food options but it was good!

All three of us fully enjoyed our beer selections, and the large hearty custom pizza was sure tasty! I can't speak for my friend's selections, but I ordered the Red Boot beer and it's one of the best reds I've had in a long time. A surprising thick head, and rich flavor! Both members of my party were also seriously impressed with their choices. I was happy to find they served pizza after a day of wandering a round town and ice skating! I was also excited to find fresh basil and fresh tomato listed on their toppings list. To me, beer always goes well with vinegar and bright flavors, so I slapped some green olives on there as well. Pickles were even listed as an option! The dough was hearty, but still firm enough to pick up. They added lots of sauce which is my preference! This is a smaller space, but we decided to go at a time we thought might not be as busy. The staff spaced everyone out adequately. Free street parking, small lots around.

The food is consistently excellent, the service is friendly and attentive, and it's simply a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The location on Old West Main is another thing that makes Kelly's special. There's a wonderful view toward the river and the railroad tracks, and I love just sitting there watching the trains go by and taking in the scenery. It has that unmistakable Red Wing atmosphere that makes the whole experience even better. Great food, great service, a beautiful setting, and consistency every time I've been there. I cannot recommend Kelly's highly enough. If you haven't been there, you're missing one of Red Wing's gems.

I'm shocked to see the rating as high as it is at this establishment...The reason we chose this…read morerestaurant over others, is BECAUSE of the rating.... When we walked in it was busy and the hostess was friendly and estimated the wait time to be around 5 minutes, and it was; which was nice. We were seated in the porch area (there is a garage door that separates it from the rest of the restaurant) and it was sticky. The air was like the outdoors (SUPER humid day) but not as warm; there clearly was no AC. They did have a big ass fan on (that's the brand name I believe ) but it was on so low- you could not feel it. We all ordered drinks and only my husband was asked if he wanted a refill (family of 6 here). Our waitress never checked on us to ask how the food was until she asked if we were ready for our bill. My oldest son ordered a pizza with banana peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni, and instead he got a pizza with green peppers, no mushrooms, and a little bit of pepperoni. My husband ordered a burger which he said was dry and so dry in fact he had to remove part of his bun (he is NOT a picky eater). I ordered a Rachel. My sandwich was incredibly dry and the only reason I almost finished it was because there was no way I was letting a 15.00 sandwich go to waste.... My oldest daughter ordered a cheese quesadilla and it was comparable to something she could have made herself (age 9) and thrown in the microwave. My youngest daughter (age 3) ordered a grilled cheese and it was so bad that she refused to eat it. I tried it and it tasted like wax. Velveeta cheese does not make a good grilled cheese especially when it's cold by the time you get to eat it. It was inedible, we ended up throwing it away. The only person who got decent food was my second son who ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza. He said it was pretty good. I will say this place serves "bar food". We will not be returning. The waitress did take the messed up pizza off of our bill (we appreciated that) but, if she had checked up on us earlier, he could have just had a new one made... I fully understand that it was busy, but it's still not an excuse for poor service and bad food. I have worked in restaurants from low end to high end, so I know how it works. We would have appreciated a check in from our waitress and a smile at least... She could have been having a bad day, but don't take that out on the customer. At least the hostess was friendly. I also want to add that the menu has way too many options... maybe if there were less options, they could perfect some of their recipes in order for the food to taste better... Sometimes too many options is not a good thing.

The specialty mac and cheeses are fantastic, with so many different combinations and additions to choose from--including some really indulgent options like lobster. But they certainly aren't a one-trick pony. Their pizzas are wonderful too, and what impresses me most is that despite offering such a large variety of food, they do it all remarkably well. You can dine inside, although I usually get mine to go, and I've always received great food and friendly service. The owner is an absolute pleasure to talk with, and the staff have always made my visits enjoyable. I haven't been in for a little while, but when I do go, it always feels like a treat because I already know I'm going to get something delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. It had a really good smokey but not totally saturated smokey flavor. But I can tell you that whoever determined the menu and keeps everyone on track, and probably everyone at the restaurant put a little love into the place and a lot of love into their coworkers. You CAN taste the difference when people are happy. We went with an order of 3 large shrimp for each of us, and a half chicken and ribs with coleslaw and sweet potatoe fries. The shrimp were incredible! The size! The juiciness, the ability to get every bit of meat out of the tail! Everything about these was everything that I wanted. I couldn't believe that one serving of just 3 was so filling! (I think you would need 6 Red Lobster butterfly shrimp to equal the size of one but you cannot compare the taste as these are peel & eat.) Then I opened the protein box and realized that I had made the embarrassing mistake of not ordering a barbecue sauce. Humph. I think that should not have been such an easy mistake to make on their site. Thankfully, both of us like grilled food without dripping sauces and ... OMG ... We were not disappointed in the food! The ribs were like eating a meat candy. They were such a joy to hold the bone and just lightly pull the tender sweet meat off. There was barely any fat. The spice rub brought out the juices from deep inside the meat but only let them sit on the meat and inside the skin. The chicken was amazing! The dark meat practically ran juices down the front of our shirts as we bit into it, the same way that sweet corn does. The white meat was so juicy it was like the typical dark meat that most people achieve on Thanksgiving. Now, the coleslaw was one of the blandest I've tasted but I figured if you do have one of the spicier barbecue sauces you might be using it as a foil. Helping you to calm your mouth's fire down with the dressing. Of course, fries don't travel well and sweet potatoe are no different. But they were absolutely everything I expected. They were delicious!! I am having surgery in April and trying to see how to ship this food to me after that now. ;)

Service remained pretty good throughout our visit. We both had drinks. My husband enjoyed the Bierstube Red, while I had a bottle of Angry Orchard cider. Our cheese curd appetizer was delicious, the curds hot and squeaky with a nice layer of breading. For my main dish, I had the grilled cheese on pumpernickel along with the standard seasoned potato chips. Everything was really good--the sandwich had a great amount of cheese with a good, stringy pull. My husband LOVED the all you can eat fish fry. He declared it to be his favorite out of the local restaurants we've tried. His fries were great, too. After finishing off the main plate, he could request more fish from our server, and she'd bring out a piece at a time on a saucer. I was in an indulgent mood, so we had dessert, too--the apple strudel. It was really good, the strudel piping-hot all the way through, served alongside a big scoop of ice cream.
