The house made pretzel was so good (best we've ever had) we ordered one to go. We split the Italian salad, which had a generous amount of meat and cheese with a pesto vinaigrette that was wonderful. The menu is very basic, much more like the food you'd see at a bar that just has a deep frier. The pizza is medicore. The fried chicken sandwich is bland. There are lots of beers on tap but almost all over them are from one or two mediocre breweries. Also, the men's restroom has one stall...with no door on it. I hope you like doing #2 while people look at you. Seriously, how does a restaurant not have door on the bathroom in 2026?

The Bulgagi was unique and put a Korean spin on a taco but was a little heavy on the sauce. The fish taco was out of this world good. The best fish taco I've ever eaten. We got some noodles just to try another dish but they weren't that impressive-- why get noodles when you can have le burg or fish taco?? We were just visiting but my family lives in Homer and visits Le burg regularly. They said hours can be difficult and they're not always open. There are also only two picnic tables between Le truck and a BBQ truck that they seem to share so not a lot of seating but it's a food truck-- what do you expect. If you're in homer and looking for a lunch spot make sure to check out Le truck. Update: two years later we spent three days trying to go back but they were never open! Finally they opened for lunch at 1:40 right before the farmer's market opened on Wednesday. It seems like they are only open when farmer's market is open. That's very frustrating. Food was still good but losing points/stars for bad hours and never being open!!

The tempura was a bit too heavily battered but the favor itself was delicious. Their halibut was amazing! The carrot cake was huge and amazing! The waitress asked for our feedback on the tempura, and was taken aback when we gave her our shared opinion. SERVICE The service was great. We were immediately seated upon check in. We got in about that time 5:30 or 6 ish and the place was quite empty. Obviously with all the construction outside, not a very pleasant looking place...the restaurant was also a bit dated and like I mentioned quite empty. However ee were seated at good table with a view of the lands end and also could watch the skillful bartender. We had Coconut prawns for appetizer and the prawns were huge with a great sauce but the coconut coating could have been better. Our kids had the mocktails of Honey Blossom and kenai colada and loved them both. My spurrita margarita was great and my husbands captains compass was also a very well made cocktail. For dinner we ordered the Alaskan fish & chips, Kachemak burger and Halibut Iliamana. The Iliamana had a nice crab dip sauce and the fish was perfectly cooked. Rice was a perfect company to it but the asparagus should have been trimmed, and hence wasnt very edible. Fish and chips were expectedly good. For dessert we shared the turtle cake and devoured it. Overall, the rest of the crew has always been really nice and pleasant to interact with, but I've…read moreconsistently had less-than-great experiences with one specific employee. For example, whenever I ask for extra olives, I often have to ask around four times before I actually receive what I would consider "extra." Usually, only one or two additional olives are added, even after I clarify that I'm asking for more. I understand there may be a policy regarding portions, but if I'm asking for extra and am even willing to pay for the additional amount, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to receive extra olives. What makes it more frustrating is the way the request is handled. Rather than politely explaining that there's a limit or an additional charge, he, I think his name is Tanner (Aka olive hater), tends to just stare at me when I ask again, which comes across as dismissive and uncomfortable. I really like the rest of the crew and have had good experiences with them, so I don't want this review to reflect poorly on everyone. I just think this particular interaction could be handled with a little more courtesy and customer service.
