I wanted to update on this because I had gotten my adt system back up and running a while back and was having a discussion with them about legality when it came to cancellation. When in discussion about cancellation, RED Safety tried to tell me it was illegal to call and cancel over the phone. No. It's not. So.. they also lie about that to try and keep with their whole predatory fake contract practice of charging people beyond contract date. Just avoid them at all costs. Go with ADT. better customer service, better equipment, they actually monitor your system and call you when it goes off AND they can cancel when you call. read more

I had them put in cameras. Thatshut down without notice. It took over a month to get part of an owners manual. Aftr numerous calls to dustin parker . Their head salesman. And numerous calls to their office. I got bent and went to their office. I let him know i was pissed to. He gave me 25 photo copies that dont really say anything. Got a problem. All you get is "see the FAQ" THE FAQ dont say a damned thing about the problems im having, or had. the cameras cost me over a thousand dollars. The install had one camera looking up into a neighbors tree, another looking directly at the back of a downspout and a third, they drilled through the plaster board in the master bedroom. Where the installers spliced wires its easy to tell. They just wrapped plastic tape around them. No proper wire splices any place. Now im getting meaasges that a camera is offline. Ant the one that goes offline depends on what day of the month it is. My recomendation run like hell from red security. And dont let anybody talk you into Honeywell VX-3 SYSTEMS. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would.....this company has given me the worst service ever. One of the techs replace batteries without removing the plastic from them then tried charging me for second visit to remove it. That has been over a year ago...still no annual check or visits I've had 3 false alarm-incidents have not had any calls from monitoring g company, police or fire department. I wouldn't recommend their security service to anyone. Costumer service is horrible! You get overcharged and told the refund is issued only to find out it is not. Keep track of who you speak to and when. I've had to have my panel changed and they didn't connect all of the sensors and key fob I purchased from them. Don't expect anyone to help with any technical issues. This has been a terrible 2 1/2 years with this company. I ended up just paying the early cancellation fee just to stop all interactions with them. Update/Response: Calls and emails were made several times regarding my panel and key fob. We signed with Red Safety and part of the agreement was to come and clean our dry duct and inspect their equipment every year. We were with them for over 3 years and they only came out once. They didn't contact us at all during Covid to say what was going on. I cancelled the services on Oct 11th and was charged for the entire month. Don't use them. read more

WORST COMPANY EVER! The owners are greedy and only care about what you pay them upfront (I paid over $4K for them to install their bad alarm system), then after you pay, you are nothing to them. I've had their service for a few months now, worst experience ever. Now I've requested to cancel their horrible service and am being told they will charge me $2K to cancel. So $6K to have horrible service for a few months. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. The story they give about the owners being former fireman who really care about you.....yah, right, they don't care. I emailed 9 times to request an owner to please call me a few months ago when my system was not working, no one ever called me back. One owner did finally email and blamed ME for my system not working (it didn't work because the initial installation was bad, causing the system to malfunction for months). Even after this discovery, they continue to blame me, saying my internet is bad (not true, even the technicians who came out said my internet was excellent and the cause of the faulty system was the installation and equipment). The sales rep who sold me the equipment and outright lied to me (read my previous reviews on that) is Melissa Bavinka. She should be ashamed of herself. But I'm sure she doesn't care, she got her commission. Beware, she is still with the company. I can only hope that my calling her out on her lies will prevent her from continuing to do it. read more

We chose to not have this company provide service for our home. I have had nothing but trouble trying to even get I touch with them for Rescheduling, so the decision was simple if I can't get in touch with anyone for this how am I to feel confident about reaching them Incase of an emergency? It is the middle of June and their tech came out in May to meet with us and to date nothing has been completed. A bullet dodged indeed after reading these reviews I am confident of that without question. I would hope that the owner will consider these reviews and address them accordingly. They sold us a product in a city where they were not permitted. The install was faulty, so we had many fines from the city, everytime the alarm went off. They failed to fix it. And... On top of that, they're telling them we owe them more than $700 and they've started billing us again in September... These guys are awful. read more

if i could take stars away i would. their smoke alarms dont work, didnt seem to be connected to the alarm system and the security cameras go off line individually ever since i had them. it took me over a month to get a manual on the cameras from them. when they installed the cameras the installers drilled through the plaster board in my master bedroom and left a lump of plaster as a patch. one exterior camera they installed so it looked half way up a neighbors cedar tree. another was installed directly behind a gutter downspout. and that is a work of art. it has wires hanging down and around the corner. the VX 3 cameras from resideo are supposed to be sending to my cell phone. not monitered by red. but i had so much trouble with red. im having ADT replace them . yeah. i know more money. but i cant see having a system that dont work. another bad thing i found about red is theres nobody in their office most of the week. i wonder why. maybe they dont being yelled at by customers that are just plain bent about their lousey service. all the people having problem canceling . my suggestion is to file a formal complaint with the WA attorney general. read more

My experience has been horrible. I came home to my alarm siren blaring. I called the company and asked how long the alarm had been going off. Their response was, we are not identifying any issues. I had to call the cops myself. The window in the back of my house was tripped. Billing has been a non stop issue and unresolved at this point. No equipment checks or the annual promises unfulfilled. These guys have a new program that they offer on facebook to give people a free safety demonstration, followed by a dryer vent cleaning. The kid who came out was very uninformed, and had nothing to offer us at all. His safety demonstration consisted of asking us if we had the right amount of smoke detectors and whether we had an emergency bag. His dryer vent cleaning was great. He had a cordless drill that was dead, so he borrowed mine to hook up to his tools. After he did his thing, he mentioned to me that he had previously broken a customer's vent by operating the drill wrongly. That comment left me filled with confidence that he had done a good job. Fast forward two or three days to when we next did laundry. We noticed our laundry was not getting dry. We had to run the dryer three times for the clothes to get near dry. Down into the crawlspace I went, and methodically took apart each of sections of dryer vent, finding massive piles of lint buildup the guy left behind. And then at the last section, I found that he had also broken the vent off from the outside port. After I fixed his errors, the dryer finally worked again. We left a message on their answering service asking for them to call us to address the issue. Two weeks later, and no one has bothered calling back. Top notch customer service, Red Safety! read more

Amending my review: Since writing this review, John from the company contacted me apologizing for the insensitivity of the two men who came to my house. John was willing to come over and fix my dryer vent. But when I pulled the freezer out I saw that it had just come detached and I only needed to put it back and duct tape it. However, his willingness to make things right was impressive. He agreed to talk to the men about being more sensitive to customers and I can only hope that this won't happen again. As with any company there are glitches and I'll say that just know you will get about a 45 min presentation along with dryer vent cleaning. I do feel that if you will have a better experience as a result of John addressing the issues. Old review: Don't bother! After coming out to clean my dryer vent (which they broke) they did a very long presentation about their security system (which I already have one and didn't want another). I was also sick and kept asking for them to leave and reschedule and they didn't and they just kept saying "were almost done". I actually had to leave twice during it and they just sat there waiting. Normal people would say they were sorry and reschedule. I felt misled at their purpose for coming. I resented their insensitivity to my being sick and overall am so sorry I had them come over. This is a deceiving sales pitch. The guy knocked on my door and made it seem like he was educating people in the neighborhood about fire safety and cleaning out everyone's dryer vents for free as there supposedly was a fire down the street. An hour into the discussion he began to talk about the pricing in relation to fire safety. I looked over at the clock and realized he had been in my home for and hour and a half. Meanwhile my fiancée and dad walked through the door as he flew in from out of town. I realized that I was pulled away from making dinner as I was told that the discussion would only be 15-20 minutes. The guy had promised that he was waiting for his manager to come over to clean the dryer vent. The second guy came in and was very peppy and annoying. He did clean the vent but came back into the house to put pressure on us to decide. My fiancée and I asked if we could have time to think about it. They stated no, otherwise we would have to pay a large activation fee in the future. We decided to go with the basic package just to get the guys out of the house but the manager proceeded to pressure us into a higher package with an alarm system. The manager took out his phone and pulled up crime reports in an attempt to scare us into choosing the system that would be $60 a month for the next three years. This was something that the first guy did not initially mention. My fiancé started to become upset because she had been working all day and they had been in our home for around three hours. She asked how much longer it was going to take and the manager stated "Wow sounds like you are getting pretty hangry (hungry+angry)" in a very snarky tone. My fiancé proceeded to ask them to leave and he forced us into taking a picture with them and then left. This all was partly my fault as I should've never answered the door. I learned a very valuable lesson that I should say no and should not allow strange men into my home. Nothing happened except for the next day I had to shamefully call and cancel the plan. Thankfully I had three days after to cancel the contract. Overall the whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. I feel bad for the young kid who was working under a that rude manager. Fire safety is important but I don't need to get harassed in my own home! read more

These assholes keep coming to my house and harassing my girlfriend and I because someone died in a house fire a few doors down. It's super messed up. They've been by twice now in the three months or so since it happened, and have been VERY pushy with their services. The most recent time (today, 4/15/16) is what prompted me to leave this review (of sorts). They would not leave my girlfriend alone. I was inside at the time, but could hear her asking them to leave repeatedly and they wouldn't stop. FOR TEN MINUTES. She had to come inside and close the door to get them to go away. The part that makes this the most horrible, though, is that these vultures are just trying to make a quick buck because someone died near us. A person who was close friends with my girlfriend, who they relentlessly harassed with vague threats about our house burning down if we don't use their services and other such nonsense. I cannot think of a more disgusting and less professional way of going about business. I'll be calling the police if they ever show up at my house again, and I implore anyone with any sort of empathy or basic human decency to not do business with Red Services. read more

I never could remember the Red Cross protocol but with the method taught by Red I am prepared if I ever find someone unresponsive. A free dryer vent inspection came with the class. He is a full time fire fighter, so the information given was up to date and very helpful. When I called to cancel (because they don't offer their service in the state I was moving to) they wanted me to ask the buyers of my home to take over my contract. I asked them why would I give them free customers when I don't get commission and it's their job? They said it's a security issue for them to personally reach out the the buyer. But they are a security company. Make it make sense!! Actually I told my buyers and everyone in my neighborhood to avoid Red Security. They scammed me into a new contract because my old one was about to end. They said contracts are all digital, but they sent me a written copy. Again make it make sense!! The service is mediocre and the call center staff is somewhat helpful. Here is my problem with company you cannot cancel your account without a hassle. You have to write a letter to the company to have your account canceled so that they can verify the signature. I have since the agreement changed my name and I cannot remember how I signed the signature 5 years ago. This is a huge waste of time and something that could be done over the internet with the amount of technology we have these days. Ive called to address this and even the managers take their time in getting issues resolved and its STILL NOT RESOLVED. I spoke with 2 different "managers" and each time they told me they have no boss and are the only ones i can speak to. Like the other reviews say $65 dollars a month for garbage service and unprofessional customer service when you call. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! I should have listened to the other reviews. Trust me that's what they are there for!!! People don't take the timeout of their daily lives to write these reviews and lie on company's just because! After months of back and forth communication and extreme frustration, they stopped billing me (I had moved away and didn't need the service any longer). After 5 months of not being billed, they started billing me again and are refusing to stop! I have reported them to the BBB as this is completely unacceptable. read more

We got duped by this company. They said that they were with the fire dept. Not true. They offered a free dryer cleaning, but nope they weren't "qualified". When the "qualified" technician tried, he was there for all of 15 secs. You can't tell me that you can clean a dryer vent that fast. They promoted the top of the line equipment, nope. I could buy all the stuff for $250 and not spend $1000 +. My family's safety is very important to me so to promote top of the line equipment and then get crap when they show up is unacceptable. I will say we were initially introduced to this company under false pretenses. I wanted a kid safety kit and ended up in a 2 hour timeshare type presentation. Except this timeshare is security, the people are rad, and it's super reasonable. We've been using the service for over a year, just got our yearly inspection done and it was great. Trevor changed all our batteries, cleaned my vents, checked my extinguishers and helped me update my camera/security system. If you can get past the lengthy initial meeting (or prepare yourself for it) its WAY worth it. read more

They sound great until they leave you a huge dryer vent of lint to clean out of your flower bed, they give you faulty equipment, and then do not show up at scheduled time to fix the equipment. They then asked me to take a 2nd day off of work since they failed to show up on the originally scheduled time and day. When asked to cancel due to breach of contract, I was told that I am not allowed to cancel and left on hold for up to 20 minutes. Very shady company with terrible customer service. read more

Two years ago I signed a contract knowing it's a two-year contract. Twenty-six months later I asked to cancel it for budget reasons. I was told that I had signed a three-year contract. It was in the fine print for a three unless other wise stated in writing on the contract. He let me know that they now have updated the issue but still wouldn't release me from my contract.
