I had every reason to believe I had an issue with ear fluid. My regular doctor told me they saw fluid in my ear. I was also sometimes hearing what sounded like fluid sloshing around in my ear when I walked. This doctor seemed annoyed while explaining to me that there was actually no sign of fluid. They also seemed to feel like they had to keep emphasizing that fact as if I was in the wrong. This doctor did not leave me feeling like I could keep coming back for future help. If more issues arise, I'll be looking elsewhere for medical attention.

My husband was having trouble hearing so we picked an ENT rather than just an continuing with an audiologist only practice. I was clear with the office that we wanted to leave the audiologist. Dr. Rizzos office told us they could determine if it was an ear or hearing aid issue. He saw a CRNP and his hearing was tested. The CRNP told him to get the tests from the prior audiolgist practice. We did this immediately She was to review and follow up. If a significant drop, she would order an MRI. We never heard from her and my husband continued to have issues. I called back after six months and demanded to see Dr. Rizzo, after all it is her practice. Found out from the staff that the CRNP left. It was clear no one compared the tests. When he saw Dr. Rizzo, she was very dismissive. Like your old just deal with it. No wonder she is no longer with her original practice. My husband continued to have issues and I looked for another ENT. I scheduled with another ENT. They found the issue in 10 minutes. It was the amplifiers in the hearing aid. 1.5 years of not hearing well because Rizzo does not care about her patients only how much she can make from surgeries and she is not that good at that either. My mother went to her. She put tubes in her ears. When my mom get an ear infection, again Rizzo was dismissive. Told her to go to her family doctor even though my mother was told to call if she had any issues. The tube on the one side is now embedded in wax and the air cutoff. She cant hear and the tube need replaced. I reached out to the office manager to tell her what they missed. They are trying to blame the patient. I have an email when I left Rizzo's practice appologizing for not following up with my husband. Now she is say they did have to follow up. Seems incompetence runs rapid in this practice. Two family member with issues. Plus I know others now that have left this practice for similary issues. Coincidence? I dont think so. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! There are far better and more caring ENTs out there.

In December, 2020 I saw Dr Steven Dorf (MD) for ear pain, tinnitus and hearing loss. He examined…read moreand placed me on antibiotics and steroids for an ear infection. Infection cleared up but pain and tinnitus persisted. In April, 2021 I returned and was 'given' Jennifer Dankel (PA) for care. She removed some ear wax and ordered an MRI stating she wanted to rule out an Acoustic Neuroma (tumor in the inner ear canal). Took some time to get it scheduled. It was done on Monday evening. Had a followup with PA Dankel on Thursday. She came in the room and said 'I have some bad news'. She proceeded to get situated for another couple minutes leaving me to wonder the bad news. She then told me 'I don't have the results yet but will call you when they are done, thanks for coming in'. I finally called the Wellspan Imaging department on Friday to find out if anyone had ever read the results. No - PA Dankel had not specified it be read inhouse (takes 2-3 days) so it was sent out (week plus). The technician told me it should have been read inhouse for something this serious (potential brain tumor). The technician also told me she would place a rush on it so it would be read by Sunday (this was Friday). By Monday it was still not read. I was completely stressed out about the possibility of a tumor in my head. Monday evening the results showed up in my Wellspan patient portal - I read them before PA Dankel notified me. No tumor but it indicated I should see a neurologist. Took 2 more days for PA Dankel to call with results I already had. She told me I should begin wearing a mouthguard at night to alleviate tinnitus and ear pain that continues to this day. I asked for a referral to a specific neurologist. It has yet to be given - that was 2 weeks ago. I'll figure it out on my own - I am better off without her 'assistance'. I still have tinnitus and ear pain and hearing loss. PA Dankel did remove some ear wax from the affected ear and the ear infection appears to be resolved. But other than that in 6 months time I am no better than when I started with the only recommendation of wearing a mouthguard. I do NOT recommend seeing PA Jennifer Dankel for any condition. I have wasted time and money with minimal benefit. I will not return to this practice for any reason.

She never answers the phones in the morning, she only answers in the afternoons sometimes, the majority of the times the lack of communication makes impossible to reach someone in the office. Also, they don't have system to remind you the appointment and no one remides you either the appointments, appointments with them are difficult to schedule because they are "always busy."
