I have had the good fortune to have met with and worked with Dr. Candace Robinson, who as resolved my hearing problems with professional fitted and adjusted hearing aids. I have been putting off getting hearing aids for many years as they are "too expensive." My wife, finally tired of having to repeat everything thing she said, insisted that I get my hearing checked; as she pointed out that not being able to hear will cause a decline in a person's cognitive ability. The cost on hearing aids covers complete evaluation of your hearing needs and three years of care, including recalibration as need to fit your needs. "You don't know what you don't know!" I have been seeing Dr Welker at Audio Professional for over 4 years and I have been very happy with the service. My first time getting hearing aids. Dr Courtney Eisenhart was very helpful and explained the entire process I would experience. She was very understanding and answered all my questions. She offered several options and was upfront about the cost for each of the hearing aids. She had me return for a checkup after the first week of use. Then again a week later to make sure everything was working well. She also took the time to explain how to clean and change batteries etc. My experience with the Audio Professional Hearing Center on Queen St, York was the best. read more

Dr. Welker was recommended by my audiologist in Baltimore after I moved to York. Having encountered some difficulty with my old set of hearing aids, my records were forwarded to Dr. Welker who spent a considerable amount of time reviewing them and analyzing which type of aids would be best for me. She was very careful to explain all my options and the advantages/disadvantages of each before we settled on the behind-the-ear digital set. Once they were received, I never had any difficulty with the left ear, but was experiencing feedback with the right aid. Dr. Welker was extremely patient and made several changes to the tip, allowing me to try each for a few days to see if the problem was resolved. Unfortunately, none of the flexible tips fit well enough to prevent feedback. As a last resort, I had a mold taken and a hard tip made. This worked but was very uncomfortable to wear. My ear had actually become irritated. Dr. Welker tried to trim the mold, but finally called the company to make a new one at no charge. This last time, it was perfect! Without her concern and patience I'd still be tolerating that annoying feedback whistle. read more

Recently, I was in Texas for a wedding, and the wire came loose from my in-the-ear mold. I called several audiologist to see if they could fix it (at my expense of course), but was not successful. A couple told me they only worked on their patients' aids, even though they understood my "emergency." One finally tried to help, but said he'd need the make, model number, etc. which I didn't have. So I spent the long weekend trying to comprehend everyone with only one aid. If you're in a crowd, you know how difficult that can be. Come Monday morning at 9:00, I was on the phone with Dr. Welker's receptionist. She was totally understanding and had me come in at 10:30. It only took Dr. Welker about 5 minutes to reattach the wire. But she did more than that. Since she knows we travel a lot, she recommended that if I find myself in a similar situation, I call their office. She has the resources to locate which audiologist services my aid, can tell me their address, and will call them with the information they need to help me. This just emphasizes the type of compassion and professionalism I've always received at AudioProfessional Hearing Center in York. read more
