OK -- let me just paint this picture for you. Starting with their French bread. It has a crunchy crust-a must-and the inside is soft and lightly toasted. A touch of mayo on one side and a layer of cheese perfectly melted. A thick layer of made-from-scratch shredded pot roast is the star of the show. It is hot, melts in your mouth like butter, and has such a unique taste that only made-from-scratch-just-like-your-grandma-makes-it could produce. Have I gotten your attention yet? This place is always a must when driving past Everett (I live in Bellingham so I always try to find a reason to drive south)!! I love love love their original pot roast sub on French bread and always tell people they HAVE to stop by. The original pot roast is the only thing I get. It is so good I am too afraid to stray, but from what other people who go with me say, any other option is just as tasty. Don't forget to grab a fountain soda. They're all very tasty and you will need to wash down your food with something just as equally as tasty otherwise you might just ruin the whole experience. I'm just kidding, the sub would still be SO GOOD with water, but water is boring. The staff are all super friendly, all usually high school-college age kids, but they opened up the patio for me to sit in because I wanted my dog to sit with me while I ate lunch. This earns them a gold star. The bathroom is tiny, but clean. The restaurant itself is small so if it is really busy in there, seating is super limited. Lots of street parking with it being right on Broadway. There is a very small parking lot but only 4 or 5 spots I think. My group of volunteers decided to buy subs from a local business to feed homeless youth at a local nonprofit. The business' website prices for sandwich platters was way off. Price on website was $12.45 x 5 for a platter of 5 footlong subs. Actual price 20-$21 per sandwich. Plus I was told they would charge me an additional 15% for a catering order. I ordered 3 platters that I was picking up. That's not catering, that's takeout. I don't know how the food tasted, I'm sure it was fine. But base prices were double Subway or more, which I didn't argue with. I have a problem being forced to pay 15% gratuity for takeout. read more

I do not recommend. Although this place has great customer service and a family owned vibe to it, our experience was just not the best. Pulling up the parking has like 5 spots and it smells so rotten outside the place. Idk if it's the sewer or what, but it's bad. Inside is crowded. Good options for sandwiches and the prices are reasonable. Takes a minute for them to have it ready for you but they'll bring it out to you. Seating isn't very nice and outside is a little tight. The roast sandwich I got was pretty average and bland. The roast was very tender and tasted good but I wish there was more of the other stuff. I only tasted bread and roast. read more

The sandwiches at Red Rock Subs are easily 5 stars. This is my absolute favorite place to grab lunch in Everett. Try the original pot roast sub with au jus on the side. The pot roast melts in your mouth, the bread has a good crunch and the au jus has a delicious flavor. Their soda is good too - it's not the generic brand(s). The menu items can be more expensive but I'm happy to pay for it due to the good portion sizes and quality ingredients. Friendly staff too. Keep it up!!! read more

I have craving for them atleast once a day for real and Im not at all ashamed to admit it. I live down in Lynnwood and If the craving is strong enough... I make that 14 mile drive. Their ingredients are so fresh and they even have gluten free bread! My two favorite sandwiches here are the grecian and the sicillian sandwich. I usually get a 6 inch but when i want one for the next couple of days I will get a foot long! This is my favorite kind of fast food--freshly-heated bread with good ingredients in a hearty sandwich. It's a little more expensive than a chain burger place, but not much. And it's infinitely better. It's no chain, either...it blows away almost every other sandwich place for miles and miles. They don't have a lot of parking, and you're backing out onto a busy street when you leave. It's a little place with just a few tables inside. They make incredible sandwiches in here. You can order online, and even with nobody in here eating, they're cranking out to-go orders the whole time. They offer a little over a dozen sandwiches, and there are some cookies for dessert. They keep it simple. This is the kind of place where you want to try everything on the menu, and I'm just getting started. I can vouch for The Sicilian, and I've heard friends who've moved away say the Hot Pastrami is one of the things they miss most from around here. Love red rocks subs. Cheddar slices are amazing but sandwiches with swiss leaves alot to be desired compared to the cheddar. Tip for redrock ... Buy your swiss at walmart lynnwood. Suffice to say I was thoroughly displeased with their' pastrami. I miss Barney's already. Typical low brow lunch meat junk. Better to go to Safeway or Winco for a junk sandwich or just buy the salty presliced crap that they pawn off as pastrami(Costco) 14$ (+ obligatory tip) doesn't buy crap anymore. This used to be a great sandwich. From what I understand, they changed ownership, and they've gone way downhill. Do yourself a favor and avoid it. We ordered 3 subs plus a kids meal online today for pick-up and when I arrived home NONE of the 3 subs were toasted (and no I didn't select for them to be cold). I called and the gal I spoke with said "oh yeah I remember wrapping that order" 'we just switched to a new oven and should have looked at them a second time to make sure they were cooked right'... she apologized but I just spent $40+ on sandwiches that were not what we paid for and frustrated that there was no semi-resolve except "so sorry." Over my last five orders or so, Red Rock has gotten my order correct and on time exactly once. I've tried ordering online and over the phone and only once did I arrive at their shop and my food was ready and my order correct. Most of the time, my sandwiches are started after I arrive to pick them up and even then the order is often wrong. I've gotten food all the way home (after waiting for them to make my online order while I stand there) and had to return to get the correct food. I've shown up for a phone order to find they hadn't started my order and then waited another 25 minutes to get my food and then found they finished the sandwich and had it sitting there without calling me. This service to pay $14 for their pot roast sandwich (tasty, but not worth the frustration). If you like sandwiches this place is delicious! My favorite is the french dip deluxe but I have loved every sandwich I've tried here. Sometimes I will get two regular sized subs in two different flavors because I can't decide. It works out perfectly for lunch and dinner since a regular sub is very filling. Red Rocks, I used to be very impressed by but then I started using their delivery system. I figure, I work very close and I cant always go grab my food. They have been at least 20 minutes late getting me my food all four or five times I've used their delivery and today, they were so late my hot sandwich was cold when it got to me. Their food is really good but I'm starting to get to the point where I won't eat there anymore if they keep making me late to my lunch. Small, "hole-in-the-wall," sandwich shop. Friendly staff, quick service, great prices, and delicious subs. Not to mention amazing salads as well! Went there for the first time yesterday. Had "The Club" on French bread. Good sandwich but bread was thick on the top half. Had to squeeze the sandwich to eat it and the contents kept pushing out one side. Next time I will try the sourdough to see if it is better or the Greek salad. Maybe I could ask to get the bread hollowed out a bit because it was still really good bread. Interior was small and dark but I'm not picky when it comes to a sandwich shop.
