Ordered the meal. Can't wait for the main course!
    Brendan L.

Came here at the suggestion of a Co-Worker who had vouched for their Sandwiches, so today, I had a chance to come by and check it out. Ordered the Mad Matt Meal. The sandwich was wonderful and the spicy mayo used did have a nice kick to it on the first bite. Cashier and Cook were kind, welcoming and polite. Did take a bit for the sandwich to arrive, but it was lunch time and there were at least four people who were there before me, so it wasn't a lengthy wait or anything. Lastly, it was a nice and quiet in the dining area aside from the ambient humming of appliances and the background music playing, so it was a peaceful and quiet lunch. Hoping to come back to try the other sandwiches and possibly the salads in the future since it is relatively close to my workplace.

    Love the red!

Hadn't been here in years and there are pros and cons: Pros: Pleasantly surprised at the upgraded decor. Love the remand! Reminds me of a barn! The food is still as good as I remember. Huge sandwiches; took half of mine home for later and the very nice staff generously wrapped it in paper and handed me a bag and some napkins. Cons: no accessible entrance at all. Steps without a handrail are SCARY! I'll be back soon!!

Big menu as of May 2022

Nice little place on Broadway in Everett. It seems to be locally owned and rather popular. I like that they have alternative sodas (Stubborn brand) instead of the usual big brands. There is a decent sized menu and both indoor and outdoor seating. I had the 6" club sub with a soda and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very good sandwich with quick and efficient service. Great to support local business, especially when they have a good product. Way to go Red Rock!

THIS IS NOT THE RED ROCK SUBS WE ALL USE TO LOVE. definitely under new ownership that did not continue anything previous owners did. I HAVE LOVED THEM FOR YEARSSSSSSS...AND WOULD PAY 50$ FOR THIER SANDWICHES...but last few times I have gone in a year...post covid. I spent 47$ for 2 sandwiches and literally ate 3 bites each time n threw them away. Everything was bland and griss..even the bread was hard to bite threw n could tell it was either days old or pre bought. Meat was coscto special and nothing was on the sandwich it was advertised as. No sprouts or bacon on a Cali club...thats what makes it the Cali club. Pot roast was dried beef with gravy topping like it was a reheat. I'm an executive Chef so know how n when things go south. MOSTLY...dissapointed to never have the sandwich I once waited for hours in line for to this...so bad.

This place has changed. Half the sandwich for double the price. Better off going to subway or jimmy johns.

Pretty good sub, a little on the pricy side. Parking can be tricky on the weekends. Overall I would recommend they do have unique subs.

(gotta climb in the Wayback Machine for that gem!) I loved that I saw at least six versions of my childhood dining room table, which felt so nostalgically comfortable that I wanted to crawl under one with my coloring books and my chocolate milk. But I digress -- you're supposed to be reading my review. I decided that I was in the mood for grilled cheese and tomato soup, so that's what I ordered. The tomato soup is really amazing -- so fresh tasting and delicious. But the sandwich was next level nom-ness. I opted to get it on sourdough because it's the best for dunking into the soup. Totes 'lish (I just thought I would type like one of the cool kids!! In conclusion, I want to talk about the service -- ordering was fairly simple, and the varied menu made it exciting to know there are so many choices. It definitely worked on me - usually specials are relegated to a small corner of the menu, but here they are front and center. I couldn't resist and so I got the Pot Roast Dip. It's a sandwich that has a good amount of pot roast, some bacon jam that's glued together with provolone and Swiss cheese all on a Giuseppe roll (From Macrina Bakery? It's a crust roll). The bacon jam and sandwich dressing makes the sandwich really sweet, but the Angus sauce is very salty, and so when the sandwich is dipped it all balances out interestingly enough. It was good to try, but I think I'll order something else next time. I also got a Mocha latte- very smooth and delicious. I would get this again! Their bathrooms are shared with the rest of the building - the code is at the cashiers. The wifi password is right next to it too. You grab a menu, wait in line to order, and then they bring your food to you. Bus your own table when you're done. Solid spot.

Sadly I didn't take any photos of the food. We tried A LOT of dishes on their menu. Nachitos: 5/5 very good! I enjoyed this. Soft pretzels and mustard: 5/5. Buffalo wingz: 2/5 NOT for me! Hated the texture. Tofu Soba: 3/5. HUGE portion. It was ok, sauce is interesting, acidic yet sweet. It doesn't taste great the next day. Lots of Tofu pieces. Fried pickles: 2/5 so greasy and salty. Not for me! Lemon coconut mocktail: 5/5. I had 2 of these, so good and refreshing. Pineapple crush: 2/5 disappointing. Needs to have more bubbles. Dessert was disappointing. I was super excited because they just got a whole fresh delivery of their vegan cakes. We tried one of each and I didn't like any of them to be honest.

We're both omnivores who eat a fair amount of plant-based fare for health reasons (I have allergies and intolerances, she's heeding doctor's advice). To be clear, this is a cafe, not a full blown restaurant. They serve luncheon fare, but it's a small operation so be either patient to don't bother - especially if there's a line. It's counter ordering with payment expected in advance. The tables closest to the window are a *little* harrowing because of the ADA ramp that leads to the door: the closest chairs can teeter down the ramp if the chairs are pushed back too far. Be careful. There are huge, regular, and small tables available. The biggest table is a little tricky to navigate for folks who want to sit in the booth side, but once seated it's quite lovely. I ordered the Pesto Pasta (involving zoodles: zucchini noodles) and a Sun Juice. My friend ordered the Grilled Cheese and Bisque. Please note: it's worth looking around this place while waiting for your food. You can conceivably get your own water, napkins and cutlery if you walk far enough along the counter towards the back of the restaurant. Back there, you may also notice a single-occupancy restroom and bins for bussing your own dishes. The Sun Juice arrived first, freshly blended, and was delicious. If that's what their juice is like, I look forward to exploring their smoothie offerings. My pasta arrived looking BEAUTIFUL on a bed of spinach, and smelled just as good. It tasted a teensy bit more of salt than I would've liked, but then I speared a sun dried tomato with my next bite and remembered that I'm not a food critic, just a happy customer. Although I'm not generally a fan of zoodles, they seemed to have the art of cooking them down pat: they didn't distract from the pesto at all. The bisque had an artful design of (coconut? cashew?) cream on top. My friend was delighted to note that it was a bit of spice to it: nothing challenging, but just enough for her to find comforting. Given the light and airy look of the inside and the rather rustic / flower-child look of the outside, she was not expecting that surprise. She was so impressed with the grilled cheese sandwich that she offered me a bite: we were both quite impressed with the "cheese" they used, as the item was listed as vegan on the menu. My friend kept whining that she's doomed, as they're close to where she lives *and* they deliver. Oh, yeah - poor her, indeed. Alas, alack, and so on.
