TBH I can't imagine visiting Crosby without stopping at red Raven. It's a combination coffee/deli/bike shop. It is perfect for all of your needs when stopping in town to mountain bike. They have a wide selection of excellent coffee drinks plus really tasty soup, sandwiches, and breakfast items to fuel you up for a ride. I ordered a grilled cheese and the soup of the day, which was a curried squash soup. I can't get over how good that soup was. It was vegan, and I can't quite pinpoint what the spices were, but it was so tasty. Very savory. They also have a great supply of bikes and biking supplies to meet all of your needs when hitting the trails. If you're coming up to bike Cayuna, you have to stop at red Raven. read more

Love Red Raven! It's locally owned and operated, and has become such a staple to the little town of Crosby. Their "up north" biking theme inside is beautiful. My favorite item is the blended peach matcha. So good! Staff is friendly, and they have very nice outdoor seating. read more

It is tough finding a coffee shop in some of these rural communities so we were driving by this place and I yelled 'hey turn here'. I was so excited to find a tasty hot latte. What a cool store/restaurant. I loved the rustic touches like the corrugated metal on the exterior and reclaimed wood inside. Staff was amazing. Loved how they told me the origins of the name of Cuyuna park. They made a great latte as well. Great stop. read more

Came for a bike tune up but stayed for a latte. The place has really expanded since last year. They have multiple breakfast lunch options to pick from while waiting to rent/tune up your bike. The boo chai latte was my favorite chai latte I have tried. Never bitter and always so smooth. read more

Both the cafe and bike rentals are outstanding! Visited twice, once for weekend lunch, and once for a bike rental followed by a beer. The business model here is brilliant- a cafe that serves beer, sandwiches and hot dogs (though apparently only on weekends for the hot dogs) attached to a bike rental place that is easily in biking distance of a trailhead. For first-time mountain bikers, they made the process of renting a bike easy, and adjusted everything based on my particular size. They only had the (very very lmore expensive) carbon frame bikes left when we got there, but only charged me for the alloy frame (since I didn't have the choice). They explained everything and made sure I could use the bike. Regarding the cafe: I had a chicken salad croissant and it was delicious- husband had a Rueben and said it was great, and my kid had a smoothie that was good too! High recommend. read more

If you like bikes, beer, or coffee, this place is a MUST STOP when you're in the area. Nice selection of local beers on tap, fat bikes for rent, a great outdoor patio, and lots of bike folk hanging out. We went a few times in our short weekend, and will be back. Ask for the "Dirty Chai" an iced chai with a shot of espresso. Update: I still think this place is a must-stop, but this trip we were very turned off by the young man at the register who wore his mask around his chin on multiple days. Also want to say I cannot recommend their baked goods. I learned they get them from Costco in Brainerd. I can't stand the muffins from Costco, they are like overly sweet old plastic wrapped cupcakes. My husband and I rented bikes from Red Raven. The bikes were in great shape and the staff was wonderful - helpful and kind! My seat was on the smaller scale and hard so we asked if we could buy a gel cover to put over the seat and, instead, they swapped out the seat for us in less than five minutes and put on a better seat at no charge - and they didn't seem put off by it - just wanted to make sure we were happy. You can access the trails a few blocks from Red Raven so you can park and ride from there which is also nice. We will rent from Red Raven next time. read more

Perfect spot for a light lunch and a coffee while crossing through Crosby. The town is small and I didn't expect to find such a cute gem but it was worth the stop. They have light fare and my pick of the Spinach Artichoke Melt was perfect.. perfect seasoning the the bread used tasted freshly baked. The Ginger Teriyaki Beef Rice Bowl also received praise and the meat wasn't too dry or too bland.. two concerns that always come up when picking a meat topping over rice. There's a bike shop in the back with a small shop of bike gear and accessories. Need something fixed while you eat? This is the place. There's shaded seating in the patio, so for beautiful days in the summer, it's the perfect place for a short stop. read more

Cute little coffee shop in Crosby! It is nice to come and grab a bite or for your coffee fix! It is usually not too busy. I like the lattes here and also their iced tea and smoothies. They are very refreshing and delicious! One time when my family came in, we also got their sandwiches and soup, they were both pretty good! They have a bike shop in the back too for all the bikers that come in! They also have a little gift shop in the store. You can find really cute clothes, accessories, and everything in between! Overall a nice and hip place up north in Crosby. Reminds me of a place you might see back in the cities. read more

Who would have thought that the town of Crosby, Minnesota would have such a wonderful coffee shop? It is SO great! With a variety of drinks and food, from kombucha, coffee, beer, to sandwiches and pastries, Red Raven offers a lot more than expected. Not only edibles, but bike maintenence as well! The space here is perfect. There is plenty of seating, and plenty of games to play, too! It makes this coffee shop extraordinary, simply by having games to play. It was pretty populated on a Wednesday morning, which I was surprised by! But not surprised, because it's great. I'd recommend The Hippie drink... Roobis tea latte with cinnamon and honey! I added espresso making it more of a Dirty Hippie, and had it made with soy. It turned out really good! Sweet, but flavorful. Oh, and they offer macadamia nut milk! How cool is that? read more

This place wrote the half a** handbook. The food and coffee side might be good but for bikes I would trust it with a homeless person before here. They didn't do half the stuff they said they were going to do. Very disappointed in the service. Go to the other bike shops in the area don't waste your time and money. The manager there is a dingus. read more

What a surprise! Hipster joint in a very small and quaint town. Stopped here for a bite on the way to one of Minnesota's many lakes. Bike shop, cafe and beer joint mixed into one garage style. Open concept, complete with a foosball table in a back while you wait for your bike to be fixed. My Cuban was tasty and reasonably priced. Kombucha by the bottle is $3.50 which is a great deal. Plenty of seating, and even games to occupy your afternoon. The bathroom was nice and clean. They even have fun gear and sell local jewelry. Kid friendly, yet also a place for a beer mid-summer bike. Not many places can pull that vibe off. Good and friendly service. Definitely a win and it's always great to support a local business that rocks! read more

This place is really great! the people who work here are kind, and are willing to answer any questions you have about the menu. The person that I talked to was more interested in talking about his experience than wanting to help with my bike. Love this place! Hidden gem with amazing food, great atmosphere. All the employees are super friendly and helpful. I had the Elvis for breakfast with a cappuccino which was awesome. The bacon and waffle with peanut butter and banana, it was the perfect combination. A little messy but well worth it! Great merchandise and a cute little hang out. Coffee was great, everyone loved their meals. We even bought some swag from their shop. read more

Been there 2x. 1. Ordered a panini & asked for meatless options. Got a snotty reply & poor service. People have dietary restrictions for a number of reasons, from personal choice, to health reasons & it would be cool if they were understanding, vs. seeing that as a criticism. Asking for other options isn't a condemnation of your menu, service or business in 2021. Jesus. Unclench. 2. It was super busy, they were about to close & the service was fast, civil & efficient. This place is CUTE! The outside is just a preview to what awaits you inside. Lots of seating, was very impressed with how many options. They sell merchandise to peruse as well. I ordered 2 strawberry banana smoothies, a blueberry flavored lemonade, and a hot vanilla latte. All drinks were made in a quick amount of time and had rave reviews all around of how great they tasted. I really can't wait to come back and support this great coffee shop! What a cool area, too!

We walked to the front counter and asked where the kava was on the menu. Then we were told how the kava house has no kava. If it weren't for the nostalgic candy and cute decor, I'd say 1 star. It's the only reason we even stopped in. That's literally false advertisement. The very kind and sweet staff told us that it wasn't even legal for them to sell kava because they were minors. So you work at a Kava House that doesn't sell kava because it employs minors or the kava house is a lie and doesn't even have kava? Either way, why would I come back? I can get candy and coffee at a candy or coffee shop.
