Our go to place for eats after a walk on the trail. Fast and friendly service. We appreciated the owners taking a moment to have a chat with us

One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Super fresh, came out fast, and tasted amazing. Staff was really friendly and the place was super clean. Great vibes all around--definitely coming back!

The food is delicious. For dine in customers they give you a complimentary tray of buttered breadsticks sprinkled with Parmesan cheese which is delicious! I ordered the Riccotta Chicken Pizza and it is so tasty. Their crust or dough is divine. The service was quick and they have friendly people. The ambience is historic but very well kept.

First of all, this used to be an Italian restaurant. When it reopened as a breakfast place I asked…read moreif the reason they kept the same name was so they didn't have to pay for a new lit sign, and I was told that was correct--makes sense as those signs aren't cheap. The problem here is that in keeping the same name the reviews and overall rating reflect both the previous Italian and the current breakfast restaurants, which doesn't provide a realistic overall view of it. It's also why it's still being reported as closed. This might be more of a Yelp problem but it's still nevertheless a problem. Regardless, I gave two stars and that's being generous. The waiter was friendly and the service prompt but that's only a small part of the equation. The main breakfast dishes contain four eggs which sounds generous but really, who eats four eggs in one sitting? The only "light" options are for "seniors and children"; there was no omelet offered there and those options are only for one egg. Weird that the choices are too much or too little. I was able to ask for a two-egg omelet and the waiter was gracious by offering me a $2 discount though the cook still used four eggs. That would have been fine but what I got wasn't a traditional omelete as everyone knows it. I asked for link sausage and swiss cheese and it was really a kind of scramble--it wasn't an omelet at all, it was flat and the combination of eggs and cheese seemed to lead me to believe that the eggs may have been underdone. There was either way too much cheese or it was of inferior quality (maybe both). Either way it was unappetizing and I barely ate any of it. For a breakfast of this size I would expect two pieces of toast and got only one. I asked for the hash browns to be crispy and they weren't. My wife got the senior scramble with cheddar and bacon, and the menu wasn't clear about the meat--she thought the bacon would be on the side but it was actually in the scramble. She said it was just ok. With the tip it came to close to $50 (with two cups of coffee, which was ok), which is still too much for a breakfast that was lacking in quality. The menu is enormous and the other breakfast and lunch items sounded interesting, but this first experience doesn't instill a lot of confidence for anything else they offer, to me at least. Readers may feel differently based on the other, more positive reviews for the breakfasts seen here but based on this visit we probably won't be back, and if nothing else be forewarned that what they call an omelet just isn't.

Because of that alone, I instantly felt like I could trust them... and now I absolutely love this place. The food is wonderful, the service is great, and even though it's a small space, they do an amazing job with everything. I'm obsessed with the manicotti--I can easily eat the whole thing, which is not typical for me at all. It's that good. My guy's dish was generous too, but a bit heavy on the oil for his taste, so he didn't finish it. Still, definitely worth the stop. The wine, the manicotti, and the cozy vibe make it a perfect little Italian escape every time.

It wasn't too thin either I (and the others) also really enjoyed the fusilli primavera - the pasta was really nice and soft, and the vegetables were cooked well. there was a nice amount of oil that coated everything to impart good flavor i also ordered the cannoli as a dessert this was interesting - the outer shell was really hard and crunchy - which was nice, and the inner filling wasn't as sweet as you'd expect from a dessert - as it was more cheesy - but i still thought it was decent the fruits tasted strange for some reason, though lastly, i do think the portion sizes were pretty impressive for the price. this was most apparent when it came to the pizza, but the pasta, desserts, and even my gnocchi were all quite large - and each all under 20 dollars i will give this restaurant props for removing 9 dollars off the price of my gnocchi after i asked to have the prawns removed - it's something that a lot of places wouldn't do - and that was nice to see

For dessert we shared the New York style cheesecake which sadly did disappoint. The red sauce drizzled tasted artificial and the cheesecake itself was so so. In speaking with friends who dine here more often, the consensus seems to be that while the menu is extensive, you have to be very selective with what you order. However, if a restaurant chooses to offer a large menu, the quality should be consistent across the board. Given how poorly these staples were executed, I won't be returning.

It has that homey chaotic feel as it is a smaller place, very busy but still very inviting. We were met by Papa who is hilarious and just sets the tone for the experience here. All of the staff are very engaging and have wonderful personalities as well as are very proficient in their positions. This place is very much dinner and a show. It was great just watching the mechanics of how everyone worked together and interacted with each other as well as customers. We sat at the bar and I ordered a drink while my wife ordered a handmade lemonade. (she does not like the sugary ones from the gun so the bartender made her one from scratch-she loved it). There are 2 menus, the traditional menu and the specials board. We were served homemade bread with oil and balsamic and also ordered a Caesar salad to split for a starter. I ordered the lasagna from the traditional menu and my wife ordered the Pork Belly Cannelloni from the specials board, both were absolutely delicious. You can tell they make their pastas from scratch as the texture was spot on. The flavor combination for the cannelloni was something I had never had and might be my favorite pasta dish I have ever had. We couldn't finish the portions that were given to us and we were excited to get to enjoy them again at home the next day. We did order the Creme Brulé Cheesecake to take as well and that was also delicious. We got the check and had to relook at the bill to make sure they got everything. For the level and quality of food, we expected the bill to be much higher. Overall we cannot recommend this place enough. We live in Renton and would easily make the drive to eat here in Anacortes with no hesitation. This is our current new favorite restaurant and can't wait to come back.
