The portion sizes were incredible! The goat thali was delicious and brought back memories of my trip to Nepal this summer.

They serve typical Nepali Dishes. Prices are affordable and Thali are the best. Very Consistent.

We had bhutan, chicken jholmomo, waiwai sadeyko and dedho thali. Food was okay. Jhol momo was bad. Bhutan looks sad. I have heard good thing about their food from others, but their food doesn't satisfy my taste. I will not be comming back.

Delicious food ever I had thali and snack. Loved so much. Always the same taste! We will be back again

These two items were so great and it really made me feel like I was in my hometown Nepal. Food: We had chicken chowmein - This was very solid ! It exactly tasted like the one I had in Nepal. Texture , spices level, and appearance wise was on point. Another dish we had was Rilthuk, this was very authentic just the way my favorite aunt cooks. Rilthuk- This is one of the traditional food of sherpa. People normally eat during the winter season because it's based on a thick soup . It's a soup dish made with potatoes mashed and mixed with sherpa spices . If y'all crave for something like these then must give it a try.

I came to eat here due to my aunts recommendation and it was very delicious. The Servers however rush you to order but after that they don't even bother to check on you or refill water. However the food is very delicious and visually amazing. The food is overpriced for the amount given but in the end the taste is pretty good.

Almost everyday I'm eating here ... my only first fav is Veg Samaybaji and some days I eat twice same order lol. Full of flavor and kerela ko achar just cant define in word. I love kerala fry damn they fry it just the way my mother do. Chicken jhol momo is perfect. Fish thali as I wanted for rainy day came out delicious. Most of staff are helpful will accommodate you when you arrived and till you left with full and yummy delicious taste. Specially staff name Sangeeta & Sonu remember what I want and always humble. All together I really appreciate there hospitality and 5star for food. Please don't you dare to change Kitchen staff... I dont want any change from food and all.

Food is amazingly fresh and price is very reasonable. Nepali Beef sukuti thali is unbeatable in New York. And quality of food is very good. Love to go there for lunch whenever I am around the neighborhood. Don't miss it's Beef sukuti to try. Service is best and heard that servers work for TIPS only so, don't forget to leave reasonable TIPS for their better service. Thali is amazing

I think this use to be a Bhutanese/Tibetan restaurant. Anyways this is a huge space with 7-8 huge tables. The people were warm and welcoming. Now this is Nepali Resturant, very clean and amazing food ranging from dumplings-thali. My sister loves their food and also I have heard few of my friends say that they are great. I love the name red panda. I think and hope they are open for take out for the pandemic.

    My food for the evening.

Overall everything was 100/10 I will definitely come back and is open minded to try more food off the menu. Dominic was absolutely amazing 1000/10, I believe he knew it was my first time he was very patient with my girlfriend and myself. With an amazing smile and was just happy to help. He helped me pronounce the food items I couldn't get correct. Overall he gave me choices and options that were great that I really enjoyed. Pros: seated quickly, ambiance was lovely, appetizers came out quickly, the Lasuni Gobi was delicious. CONS: My husband and I waited 40+ minutes for our main dishes (dal + rice and the Paneer Tikka dish) to arrive....... And we watched the people who were seated AFTER us receive their MEAT dishes before we got our ours and we most definitely ordered first. We asked our server MORE THAN ONCE what was taking so long and we got the same answer each time "I've told the kitchen to hurry, it'll be out soon" To make matters worse, the person who brought us our dishes (maybe the chef? Maybe the manager?) brought them without the naan that we ordered. When I asked, "where's our naan?" He had the audacity to rudely say "it'll be out in a few minutes", as if we hadn't already been waiting 40+ minutes for vegetarian food that I could've whipped up myself in 20 minutes. His attitude towards us was so unacceptable considering the circumstances. We have absolutely no idea what happened or why it took so long for our simple dishes to arrive. It's especially perplexing considering that the people who came in AFTER us got their meat dishes first. The server apologized and decided to bring us some kulfi (ice cream) to try to make up for it, but we try to avoid eating sugar so that was useless. I felt bad for the server because it wasn't his fault that our food took a ridiculous amount of time to make it to our table, and it's not cool that a manager never stepped in to try to reconcile. As someone who waited tables for 8+ years, I was shocked at the lack of support this server received from his management team. The dal and paneer tikka dishes were average tasting at best (and overpriced), making another trip here completely unfathomable, most especially considering how we were treated. Note to management: do better. Support your staff and step in to reconcile with unhappy guests if this happens again.

Taking over for another desi-owned spot (#1) several years ago, they've done a much better job of capturing an audience by focusing on a niche of Goan inspired foods, along with a slew of classic Indian dishes that span from north to south. The interior is modest and quaint, and a one bright / memorable outdoor setup during the pandemic. The restaurant is not big, but they've managed to cram in a good number of tables to make it place for 30 folks. Takeout and delivery are also very popular, and I've been fortunate to have had all of the above. Some immediate standouts: goan fish curry, xacuti curry, and the caldeen curry are quite excellent and all come from the Indo-Portuguese side of the menu, which are all loaded with flavor. Additionally, the tandoori selection (especially the chicken malai, seekh kebab, and methi salmon) and variety of curries (rogan josh, korma, jalfrezi, makhani, etc.) are also very flavorful. As with many other Indian places, especially ones that cater to the southern palate, there is an excellent vegetarian selection. The saag chana is one of my go-tos, but the peeli dal, bhindi masala, gobi manchurian over their lemon or tomato rice all merit a big thumbs up. Ownership has likely changed since their initial start, which explains why the staff and "family owned" management has all gotten different looks before and after the pandemic. The other major issue has been pricing, which definitely feels premium at $21-23, for portions that sometimes feels like the size of a hockey puck. The product is still good and the pickins in Sunnyside (#2) are slim, so I realize that for some people, this is the only (Indian) game in town. ___________ (#1) Biriyani House: https://www.yelp.com/biz/biriyani-house-sunnyside (#2) Unless of course, we're counting all the Nepalese spots that also serve Indian cuisine.
