The Red Orchre Grill likes to order their products in local ingredients in South Australia, Marron from Kangaroo Island, crayfish from the Southern Coast, beef from the Coonawarra or oysters from Pristine and Coffin Bay, baby abalone, line caught snapper.
We attended a Wednesday night for the 'FESTIVAL OF FOOD' theme as there were specials for this particular event.
Driving to the Memorial Drive, I missed the turn off, but eventually found the road place and found it was a floating pavilion that sits on the water and got a great view of the Torrens river and wild ducks that were sitting in the water. What a beautiful atmosphere and great view of Adelaide. As it got darker, it was really nice to see the city lights at the window on this cold winter night.
The restaurant is part of 2 places, the Red Ochre Grill was located upstairs, and the place was very classy and trendy. The waitress got a bit lost in locating out table and had to recheck again, but managed to seat us on a 6 seat table in the middle. There is no disability friendly access for Red Ochre grill however if you request for one, there is access on the ground floor for the River Cafe.

Overall, great company, great food and great food experience. It's expensive but the quality of the food was well worth it. The way it was presented and served but most important how it tasted. I'll definitely come back again. Thumbs up! read more
