We like to visit this location whenever we're visiting our family in NY. There is usually not a long wait when we go early and the staff is always friendly. The food is always consistent and we enjoy the different specials that are available different times of the year. Went to this restaurant to celebrate getting a new job! It was a great place for this celebration. We ordered these delicious, large, pina-colada-type drinks. They were festive and so good! Honestly, one of the best mixed drinks I have ever had! Didn't really feel like I was in a generic franchise restaurant. I love seafood and I have usually enjoyed Red Lobster. However, my experience this time was rather frustrating. They offer very large portions which I used to love before I lost 65 pounds. Now I can't eat as much and seafood cannot be successfully stored or reheated. I asked the waitress if she could help me figure out a way to split my meal with my 13 year old who doesn't eat much anyway. She told me I was not allowed to do that...huh? Seriously? The least expensive item was on the kids menu and cost $15! We had a group of 10 people so I expected that the service would be stellar! I was the one paying the whole bill in celebration of my brothers baptism so I was not happy with her unwillingness to help me out. She could have brought my dinner out and provided me with a few extra plates to share my huge meal with my young daughter. The portion sizes of the meals is simply ridiculous in a world where fitness is important to some people. So I paid $267.00 and we all brought most of our meals home. Got lucky and went when it wasn't very busy and got greeted and seated promptly, booths were comfortable. The waitress was very nice the whole time. The free cheddar biscuits were fresh and hot. I ordered the crab legs and it had been awhile since I had eaten them and the waitress reminded me how to open them with the tools. They were cooked perfectly and the portion size was huge. Good customer service. I also got the grilled shrimp on the side and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The green beans were over cooked and over seasoned but it's all about the seafood here. The red wine and brownie ice cream was so good! It was expensive but that's red lobster, you gotta splurge a little. Probably $50-$100 for two people to go depending on what you get. read more

The location is easy to get to, and has plenty of parking spaces that even accommodate the busiest of early dinner rushes on a late Sunday afternoon. My party and I didn't make reservations, but only had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated. All of the staff we encountered was both pleasant and professional, but our server, Becca, demonstrated some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in any restaurant. In addition to maintaining a big smile as well as her composure from start to finish despite the steady influx of diners, she was extremely attentive as well as engaging. She knew the menu from cover to cover, and if we asked a question about something that wasn't clearly outlined on the menu, rather than just giving a dismissive response like, "I don't think we can do that", she informed us that she was new and if we didn't mind waiting, she preferred to ask the manager rather than give us the wrong answer. She remembered all of our orders, substitutions, and even the items that we requested to be boxed to take home rather than plated. My parents love this place. So when they visit, we visit the Red Lobster. Wait staff has always been nice. The prices are pretty good considering seafood. The seafood itself is fresh, as is all that we have ever ordered. HOWEVER~beware of the melted butter!!!!! It can be overwhelming UNLESS you specify you are not into the slippery fat....as we are not. Ask and the shall honor. A nice selection of alcohol is available at the dinner table for the ordering, as is a very clean bar to hand out at in case u need a short break from the company ur holding. I got a "trio" of fish and shellfish, all of which was drenched in the same oily butter sauce. The shrimp were very shrimpy, and the scallops were hardended mini marshmallows. It was a regretful experience, with the highlight of the night being the cheesy biscuits at the beginning of the meal. 4 of us went to red lobster a few weeks ago. 3 meals came out together, the 4th "would be coming shortly", no explanation and when we asked we were told " don't know why". Several minutes passed and we were told its still coming. After a pretty lengthy time, our friend was offered a free shrimp cocktail, but no explanation was given. That was eaten, and the rest of us were done with our meals, his still was not there. We told the waitress it was ridiculous. She returned and said to our friend "your meal is free". Meal finally came, but it basically ruined our evening out, as we ate at totally different times. We even asked for more biscuits and that was a problem because they were so slow to bake them and had none ready. Then, my meal had dessert included and I up charged it to the cheesecake. Before I could take a bite my husband said "wait" and proceeded to unpeel the entire wax paper wrapper from my cheesecake. We showed the waitress. I then tried to eat it, but it was frozen like an ice cube. I tried pounding my spoon into it, and could not. So we had to tell the waitress that as well. She left and came back and said up charge is removed. By that time we were pretty much disgusted by the lack of kitchen quality control, by lack of any sort of attention from the manager who should have come to our table since we had multiple red flag issues, so we just paid and left. On the way home I realized I had a dessert coming that I didn't get to eat, and yes they took off the upcharge, but didn't offer to replace it with something I could eat, since dessert was included. Very very disappointing. I reached out to red lobster 2 times in 2 weeks and heard nothing back. I came in with my parents and niece for dinner Saturday night. I've been here once before but it was ages ago. We were promptly seated and greeted immediately by our server, Amy. She was courteous, attentive, and engaging all evening. I had the 4 course meal with the new England clam chowder, which for my personal preferences I thought was too thin. Chowder should be thicker, more hearty. The flavor was there though. I had the Caesar salad which was dressed perfectly. Just the right amount of dressing, and lots of croutons. I had the Cajun chicken Alfredo for my entreé and it was very good. Creamy and seasoned to perfection. The dish is heavy so I barely ate half, which was fine because it was brunch the next morning. The shrimp scampi wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either and there was a layer of oil skin as it was completely covered in oil. Waitress was nice, making sure to check up on us every once in awhile. But the wait was super long. Got there around 7:45ish-8 and didn't leave until 10 because half of the time there we were waiting for our food to arrive.
