I had a very disappointing experience at the Red Lobster in Saginaw, MI. I ordered the Mariner's Seafood Boil and asked for Cajun and spicy, but it came out incorrect. The server offered seasoning to add myself and a complimentary dessert instead of remaking the meal. The next day, I found a piece of chewing gum stuck to the side of the dessert. I contacted the restaurant and the first manager I spoke with was dismissive and questioned whether it was really gum. When I brought the dessert back, another manager suggested the container may have been reused from another customer, which was shocking to hear. I did report this to corporate, but the overall experience left me very uncomfortable about food safety and customer service. Very disappointing. read more

I had made a reservation and we arrived bon time and the host told us it would be a 20 minute wait I explained that we had a reservation he said slot of people came on and some also had reservations. They didn't have a reservstion list. I would think that they would hold your table for a moment then give it to the next reservation or party waiting. We were greeted in a warm manner by the hostess, then to our seat. Alese, our waitress, was friendly, answered questions and waited on us in a way that made us feel like family. We ordered the Ultimate $40 each dinner, where you can order two orders of the main course and two orders of a secondary course with 2 sides each. I ordered 2 of the lobster tails and two shrimp skewers with rice, because you can double up. I ordered a chef salad and baked potato. It was delicious! My husband ordered the scallops and salmon and for the second, two skewers of shrimp with rice with broccoli and a salad, which were delicious, We ordered delicious drinks. I ordered a takeout order from Red Lobster the Cajun Chicken linguine pasta. I cannot believe what I received the chicken was so tough I could not cut it. I throw away the chicken and just had the pasta and sauce. I ask for the sauce on the side with no seasoning in it and the extra Cajun seasoning, I asked for did not help with flavor. Making a purchase at a restaurant is expensive and when received something you cannot eat is a waste of my time and money. read more

Haven't been here in a while so far so good the biscuits came out amazing and hot! Ordered two pounds of the crab legs and let me say they were fresh and amazing. The hostess was very quick to seat us and even asked us if we wanted a booth or table most places don't ask that any more. The waitress was fast and attentive made sure we were taken care of. We left full and happy and I can't wait to go back in the past things haven't been that great but things are starting to look up here and I can't wait to return back. Crab legs are hard to find in this area so I'm glad they have some delicious ones here. read more

It's not a five-star restaurant, but it's hardly a fast food restaurant either. I found the fish (cod for me and salmon for my wife) to be fresh, well prepared, flavorful and not overly priced for the serving size we received. The shrimp on skewers was acceptable for not being near an ocean. The lunch service (attentiveness, how quickly we received our food, food temperature) was excellent as well. They even served a very nice cheese roll which I could have grown addicted to but was saving myself for the meal. By the end, we were both stuffed. Neither of us ordered dessert, but if we had more time we would have. most importantly, neither of us felt fleeced by the bill. This was the first time I've been to a Red Lobster in many years and we'll be back. read more

My 4 friends and I went to the Saginaw MI Bay Road location this afternoon. I have been here many times over the last 40 or so years since I was a teenager. The 5 of us came in and were greeted by 2 very lovely and fun women. One was the beautiful manager. Our waitress, Jennifer, was incredible! We all got the $20 all you eat shrimp. Talk about awesome! My friend and I got the top shelf marguerita, wow! The best I ever had! Jennifer didn't miss a step! I asked for cocktail sauce for my scampi and one of my friends asked for a sauce for something else. She brought them out asap! Usually if you ask for something extra at other restaurants, it's forgotten! Not here! I got the ceasar salad as a side and holy cow! One of the best I ever had! The cheddar bay biscuits were better than I ever remembered! Piping hot! I am very impressed that the dishware and drink glasses are always upgraded through the years. Always beautiful and new. The Marguerita glass was so cool! The restaurant is so very clean! This location has been here many years and it always is so clean! My girlfriend and I ate here for lunch and had a poor experience. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food to come, which was not busy at the time. When it was finally brought, it wasn't our waiter that brought it, and the food was lukewarm at best. Then our waiter brings containers for our food despite us still eating. Then, I'm guessing as a token of guilt for his poor service, gave us plenty of biscuits. We won't be back to this location again... ever. I don't think I've ever been to a Red Lobster before but of course I have heard a lot about the never-ending biscuits so I was at least looking forward to that. We waited around 10 minutes to be seated and once it was our turn, were surprised to see that the restaurant was only half-full. What exactly were we waiting for? Our server, Jasmine , was very friendly, but she or the host (I'm not sure how they do it here) forgot our utensils. We only realized it once we had our drinks and our salads. But once we flagged her down, she got us the utensils and napkins. The Caesar salad that came with my entrée was fine, and the biscuits were addictive. I ate three of them easily. The snow crab legs ($19.99 for 1 lb) were brought over in a dish with a lid on it. They were good, although some of the legs were a little too soft to crack, but that happens. I would have liked more than one tiny wet nap and another slice of lemon. Crab is a messy affair, the staff here should know that better than anyone! With that I had a side of fresh broccoli and lobster mashed potatoes. The former was overcooked and the latter was cheesy mash with only four little pieces of lobster in it: a real shame since it cost $3.99 extra even though the meal already comes with two sides. I enjoyed two Old Fashioneds with my meal, both were tasty but the second was strangely more red than the first. The price wasn't listed in the menu but each turned out to be a reasonable $5.79. During dinner I did visit the bathroom, which was clean. I like the fact that it has an outer door and a trash can by it, if you like to grab the handle with a paper towel after washing your hands like me. But on the way back I saw 4 employees standing around the host's desk chatting while a couple tables needed to be cleaned. However there was a guy constantly going around the restaurant to sweep the floor. I was surprised he could see anything since it was so dark in the dining area. Our friend who ordered the Four Course Feast ($16.99) didn't get her soup but admitted she was too full for it now anyway. When we were ready to leave, Jasmine had no problem boxing up the soup to go, as well as the dessert, and she brought out the ice cream at the very last minute so it wouldn't melt much on the way home. She also threw in some extra biscuits for us. (: A lot of the dishes here are not cheap, so I expected appropriate service and quality. While our server was great, she did forget a few things and it's obvious that some of the other employees need to stop goofing off. And the kitchen needs to work on their side dishes. While many people were here after church, I came here with my girlfriend and some of her family after seeing the family friendly film Hot Tub Time Machine 2. I hadn't had Red Lobster before so I didn't mind. Yeah so they didn't have enough salmon for me to get what I originally wanted, and what I wound up getting "Admiral's Feast" had tasty sand in one of the fried clams, but it was actually pretty good overall ... I especially like the fried shrimp and fish. Their tartar sauce is okay but strangely too much like coleslaw... eh. The Caesar salad had good dressing, and the complimentary bread they give you is, well, I ate three. After reading each biscuit has 2.5g of trans fat, I suddenly wished I was bulimic. Came here on Valentines with my daughter around noon hoping to beat the couples crowd and it was a great idea. We waiting maybe 5 minutes tops before the hostess showed us to a really nice booth without requesting which is always a plus! I'll start with the food. I ordered crab linguini alfredo and my daughter had same but with shrimp. I did opt to replace their house salad with the clam chowder and it was wonderful!! Couldn't get enough of it! Food arrived timely and my dish was ok but was a little jealous of my daughters and regretted not getting the shrimp as it had more flavor. The best part was our waitress Brittany! We've been to Red Lobster many times but this was our first time at this location. I always order fish and chips at Red Lobster and for the first time, I was disappointed in my food. I received one piece of fish ( Normally it's 2 pieces) and it wasn't cod so I asked if it was white fish and she said it should be cod. It wasn't, I know the difference. It was a very thin, flat piece of flaky fish instead of cod which is rounder and soft and moist. I had a baked potato this time instead of fries and asked for butter and sour cream. It didn't have butter and I asked for additional sour cream since it was very dry. I didn't eat much of it because it was too dry to eat. I always love their biscuits but they didn't have much seasoning on them which gives them their normal garlic taste so they just tasted like cheese biscuits. I usually love Red Lobster so we won't be going back to the Saginaw location. The 2 stars are for the waitress who was excellent. read more

Been going to this RL for many years and the food has alway been very well prepared and the service good. I am only writing this review because the last time we were there the portion sizes had changed significantly. We normally go for lunch so the portions are generally smaller, so I'm not comparing lunch and dinner portions. When my salad came out I thought how skimpy it looked. Then my Sailors Platter came out and they reduced the amount of fried shrimp and the potato was super tiny. I'd rather them raise their prices then decrease the amount, I hate when companies do that to avoid charging more. I know costs go up, but I feel like I am being ripped off. read more

I used to like coming here for crab legs but I think the quality of the food is going down hill. Tonight my gf and I came here but we were kind of disappointed. We waited outside for 20 minutes because they have all the benches inside closed off because of covid. Their menu is an abbreviated version of what it used to be. My gf was disappointed that she couldn't get the maple glazed chicken that she always gets. I ordered my usual crab legs, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli but was told I couldn't get the broccoli. Instead, I ordered a caesar salad which was pretty good. The potatoes had a yellowed crust on them which I suspect was caused from sitting too long under a heat lamp. My biggest disappointment was the crab legs. There was no size to them and the shells were rubbery. I had maybe one claw that had a decent piece of meat in it. It wasn't worth the $20+ I had to spend for it. If there was a different seafood place in the area that had better crab legs at a reasonable price I'd be going there. My wife graduated nursing school today and we had placed a deposit on a room for 25+, the ceremony ended sooner than expected so u called to see if there was any way we could come earlier, they were totally unaware we were even showing up there was no reservation In their books no room even set they wanted me to pay for the room again so I swore once!?! This lady completely tried to turn the whole thing around on me and focused just on the part were I swore so I hung up was livid wife called back they said it was their fault and were preparing a room and they didn't have anything in the books because we never gave them a date hoe the fuck u make a reservation without a date so I racked up 500 left not tip but they get this review for free step your game up bro, the one in bay city though is fire and wayyyy better service read more
