It's been about six or seven years since I've been here. We ordered shrimp and grits. Pretty bland and the grits were too runny for my preference. The stuffed mushrooms, as an appetizer were weren't bad. The ladies room needed to be tidied up. There are three stalls in there. One had a sign on it that stated it was out of order and one cannot be secured, so only one fully functional stall. We were there Saturday early evening the guys loved theirs! i liked part of mine! i ordered fish and chips! love the slaw! The fish was flaky but outside was very done it was black in spots and overfried! We ate there yesterday, and over the years we have ate there numerous times before COVID19. I an only say it was terrible disappointment. Had I read some of the other reviews before hand, we would have elected to have went somewhere else. The most positive thing I can say was our waitress was excellent, the food not so much. The ambiance was horrible, what used to be considered upper class dining has devolved in to staff on the floor brushing the carpet for crumbs like one would expect in a day care facility. The booth we sat in close to the front had a horrible lingering smell. I do not know if it was from the cleaner that several of the staff were constantly spraying in the dinning area. We started off with a appetizer of calamari. It is served with a jalapeños ranch and a marinara sauce. The marinara sauce was watery, the ranch was ok but not great. My wife chose the Grilled Sea Scallops & Shrimp Skewers for the main course, with rice, baked potato and side salad. I chose the surf and turf with Maine Lobster with a subsection of the New York Strip along with Baked potato and side salad. The portions of the meals have diminished with price skyrocketing. The Lobster tail was alright, as the Maine Lobster is usually more tender than the Rock Lobster. The scallops were a bit tough and overcooked. I hope that as things POST COVID-19 continue to slow easy back to some reason of normalcy this place will improve back to where it once was. read more

We decided last minute to go to Red Lobster after being ignored at another restaurant. We had to wait a few minutes, but we were immediately greeted by the hostess and again by the manager. We got dragon shrimp appetizer, we both got the pick 2. All our food was cooked well and was delicious. Our server, Grace, to amazing care of us. She was bartender and her section was full. It was all you can eat shrimp and she was making sure everyone got all the refills they requested. She was warm and friendly and didn't seem at all rattled. She made our night. Ate there yesterday. Server literally made reference to his tip during our meal. He was slow and when I asked if he was bringing out our slaw before the meal, he said, "I don't do that, I never bring out the slaw before a meal." I have been to this particular Red Lobster many times. They have always brought out our salads and slaw before the meal. He also suggested we order an appetizer because it would take us a while to get our food. We didn't order an appetizer. Our food was very skimpy, very small portions. He never checked our drinks until we were finished with our meal. Again, he mentioned his tip would be higher with an appetizer. After the meal was over, he brought our checks, and again told us he hoped we would be generous with our tip. The one thing he should not have done, was mention his tip. Horrible.. HORRIBLE experience tonight! What started off as an awesome experience (coz we didn't wait even a minute, and were shown straight to our table) turned into a most disappointing one! So... for the weekend before Christmas, it wasn't too full which was unusual. Our server was Monica who did a decent job.. except for the fact that she never refilled our drinks by herself and just asked us once if we wanted refills, that too towards the end because she knew how displeased we were. The appetizer was fine and came on time.... ordered sweet chili shrimp. The salads looked incomplete without croutons.. we let it go. Then the entrees came and it went downhill. The shrimp pizza was ok.. not good, not bad.... the grilled tilapia was fine but the side of asparagus was stringy and charred! The other 2 orders of the same came without any sauce, without the broccoli steamed and without any salsa!!!! My order of this new combo came incomplete and not looking like the menu photo!! 3 plates out of 6 had to go back... they came out when the rest were done eating. The plates were brought by the manager, Jacob, who did his best to make up for it but the damage was done. Horrible experience... I asked for a comments card TWICE but was not brought one. Jacob came to let us know that he hadn't charged for 2 of the dishes which was very nice of him, but deserved in this case. I don't know what happened to their chef tonight but another table sent back their food twice as well! And on the way out, I heard another server asking Jacob to go to a table because the customers wanted to talk to him. I'm not sure I'll be visiting this branch again. read more

I went overboard, for real. I ordered the Shrimp and Lobster fest Overboard meal. It had huge breaded shrimp, a jumbo grilled shrimp skewer, lobster tail, and a zoodle / linguine mixed pasta with shrimp and lobster pieces. It was served with two sides and a salad. For $29, this was a massive amount of food. I loved it! The pasta was a bit iffy because the lemon flavor was just too strong to really enjoy the Alfredo sauce. I was also hoping it was all zoodles but it was just a small portion and mostly real pasta. I was looking forward to a real low carb option. Sooooo much food. I ordered the salad with no dressing and tossed my grilled shrimp in it to bring to work for lunch. Definitely a great deal to get two meals from it! Everything was cooked really well and the lobster had a great grilled flavor! I also ordered the Yucatán shrimp tasting plate. It came with two pieces of toast, 3 shrimp pieces, covered in this spicy and sweet pineapple salsa. This was probably the best part of the meal. I'd order 3 of these and a salad the next time. The flavor is just so amazing. There's a slight tingle from the heat of the jalapeño but it's just perfect. The toast was nice to "sop" (country term usually involving a biscuit) up the salsa remains. Try it!!!!!! My husband grabbed the sirloin and grilled shrimp skewer, his was pretty standard. Service was poor albeit friendly. Drinks were poor, not sure where the alcohol was for a 10.00 margarita. No manager greeted the table. Food was obviously sitting before being brought to the table. Had to ask for lemon and drawn butter for a lobster tail. No sauce for the grilled shrimp. It has been a while since eating here. I love seafood but it is always expensive. I was shocked to see that the prices had gone up so much. For a decent meal it was roughly $20 a plate. I ordered the seafarers feast and it was amazing. The scallops were cooked perfectly, probably some of the best I have had. The lobster tail was small but was also cooked perfectly. My wife and I shared this meal and replaced one of the sides with a Ceasar side salad. This was by far enough food for both of us. We also shared the lobster dip as a starter. The service was great and the atmosphere was great. The seating was spaced far enough apart that your dining experience felt private. The restaurant was clean and appealing. Red Lobster in the Richmond Mall Shopping Center- My boss and I were in Richmond and the boss had seen a commercial for endless shrimp so we stopped by. They didn't have the endless shrimp so he was let down a little. Hah We looked at the lunch menu and found several options to be as much as $20! I'm sorry but pasta with shrimp isn't worth it to me. The boss tried it and said it wasn't bad but not what he expected. I got the catfish and fries. They were ok but I can tell you that I've had a lot better. The catfish filet was probably a little under cooked because it was a little fishier tasting than most. The server was great and kept our drinks full. She made the experience a lot better. The one thing that took it from a 4 to a 3 is that the whole place smelled awful. I understand it's a seafood place but it doesn't have to smell like I have a fresh catch from the lake on my table. Overall, I will probably try this location again someday but who knows. I have a friend that literally drives 45 minutes there just to eat the steak there. So some people love it. read more

This Red Lobster site has a tremendous amount of potential, but let me down. My mother came to visit and wanted to take me out for lunch to Red Lobster to try the Lobster fettuccine. We walked in and an employee cane around the corner and greeted us then snatched some menus and escorted us to a booth. On the way there an employee stretched out all over the bar area(jacket on one chair, back pack on another and him in a third) making him self comfortable eating, watching TV, and using his electronics. 2 or 3 more tables had guest at them but far from busy for a lunch rush from an established restaurant. We were seated and the greeter took our drink request and said the servers name and that she would be with us shortly. Our Drinks came and then we saw our server come in from outside with her coat in hand and reeking of perfume and cigarettes, (yum appetizing). She dumped her coat and promptly came to the table, My mother ordered the Lobster Fettuccine and I ordered the fish and chips. Mom also asked if she could have her wine that tasted like vinegar be replaced with a Bloody Mary, not a problem. About 6min later the wait person came back and informed that she forgot they were out of fish for the fish and chips so I ordered a 7oz steak and shrimp with a salad and fries, all plain no seasoning. Salad came and it was good and cold. The food came shortly after, mom got the Lobster artichoke dip with chips and I got a new york strip on mashed potatoes, a shrimp skewer and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly and all the food LOOKED fantastic. But wait, what happened to the Fettuccine? What happened to the 7oz tenderloin? with no spice. The steak was covered with some type of citrus taste maybe from the shrimp? oh but wait the shrimp was to be plain also. I mentioned the taste to the wait person and she said the cook said nothing was on it. Mom decided not to say anything about her food and just tried to eat them, She did not want to create a scene. To sum it up service was doing a job in between puffs(the wait person followed us out with jacket in hand and a cig(?) in the other). Not sure why the food was wrong but the steak was cooked perfectly med to med rare although it was the wrong food and sweeeeet. I recently came here for my mother's birthday. From the beginning it was a pleasant experience, I explained the handicapped situation with the hostess, as my father is disabled and need the closest table, also mentioned my mother's birthday, very receptive as sh said she would mention it to the waitress.
