Red Lobster has revitalized itself. Probably one of the most recognizable areas where that has happened is in customer service. When you get to this location, ask for Misael to be your server. Or just asked to sit in his area. Better customer service - better attention you will not find. the food was also quite good. We had two Ultimate feasts, one mariner seafood boil. endless shrimp, salmon and more; all of it was delicious. The bread is still fresh. I will say the garlic shrimp was a bit salty, and one of the lobster tails that we were served was also a bit salty- other than that the drinks were good, the biscuits are always a highlight, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambience is what it is. I never knew that this Red Lobster was located in a strip mall in Garden City NY. The location is beautiful and has a huge parking lot with several other restaurants on site. Okay, okay, okay, there were about 4 or less customers. 2 or more per sets of customers. I started with a virgin Pina colada for $13.99 and the delicious, irresistible biscuits. For the main dish, I chose the ultimate spendless shrimp for $17.99 which consisted of garlic shrimp scampi, shrimp linguine alfredo, and, popcorn shrimp with Chesapeake fries. Garlic Shrimp scampi- garlic taste was dominant but not too overwhelming, it was very tasty and hot from the heat, very delicious! Shrimp linguine alfredo- this was not too bad, it was thick, close to dry. The sauce was not present at all, more on the luke warm side. Popcorn shrimp- this dish made me wonder why people attempt any popcorn dish. I'd say leave the popcorn for the movie theater and just call it fried baby shrimp and call it a day, evening, or night! The Chesapeake fries were not topped with a creamy crab dip, shredded cheese, and or extra crab meat. They were just plain fries served with ketchup, but I think this style paired better with catsup! Yes, what's the difference. The difference is serving fries and calling it Chesapeake fries. You won't know the difference if you weren't told the difference or told the name. But anywho!! Needed extra sauce but that took awhile because it appeared that the decorum shifted. The entire staff were consumed with an erratic driver in the parking lot and gathered in a corner near the door and by the window which provided landscape views. I kept raising my hand to get attention but to no avail. I went to Red Lobster to collect and finalize my birthday perk for the month so I ordered a birthday cake. I had to use the app and my waitress brought it over in a to go bag. Blank stare!! Took the cake home to eat it with melted ice cream. Oh and no happy birthday song. Arrived 10 minutes early and ended up waiting about 40 minutes for a table. Ordered 3 maine lobster tails (it is called "Red Lobster" after all), broccoli and fries well done. Lobster was prepared properly, not over done. Broccoli was bitter and starting to yellow and fries were crispy as requested. Complimentary cheese biscuits were warm. 3.5 for food would be more accurate. Service was not good probably because they were understaffed on a Saturday night. Well, the place was packed when I arrived. One hour wait list. was after all the holiday. Every bodies, Ma. Granny, Auntie, Cousin, Babies and more on board for Mother day. Service was great, Servers personable and attentive under multi tasking. It took a bit longer for our food to arrive but holiday, no complaints. I ordered the shrimp scampi, which was okay. I haven't been to red lobster for years but decided to go and take my mother and daughter. My mother went inside and put us on the list the wait was over an hour so we sat in the car and waited. After over an hour of not getting a call I decided to go in and check to see how many tables were ahead of us. When I have the woman at the front desk our info we were no where in the list to be found, I immediately asked to speak to a manager to see what we could do. He was a very nice, kind gentleman who was very apologetic about the situation and looked to fix it immediately. We were given a booth within 5 minutes and we're able to have dinner. To drink my mother got a piña colada which she really enjoyed in at he big cup. I got the margarita. For appetizer we got mozzarella sticks and crispy dragon shrimp the shrimp is slightly spicy so my daughter didn't have much of that but it was good. For entree my mother got two lobster tails with fries, baked potato and broccoli on the side. I got a lobster tail, shrimp scampi and two sides of mash. I ordered a pickup online order at 4pm for 6pm pickup. When you arrive at the restaurant to the designated pick up area it says to text them that you are there. So of course I send the text at 5:45 they said by 6:10 someone will deliver it to my vehicle. It is now 6:30 and I still have no food so I kindly go inside ask about my order and it's literally just sitting behind the hostess. No apologies for anything just hand me my food like I was wrong. If I could give zero stars, I would. Kimberly, the host at this Red Lobster in Carle Place, has one of the nastiest attitudes I've ever dealt with in a restaurant. She was rude, dismissive, and acted like doing her job was an inconvenience. As a host, her job is to make guests feel welcome -- instead, she made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome the entire time. If this is the kind of person Red Lobster chooses to represent them at the front, that says a lot. She seriously needs an attitude check or a new job somewhere she doesn't have to deal with people. Might I add she was in a white Honda Accord doing inappropriate things with a guy who I believe is a server because when I walked in I seen him he has served out table before I believe his name is Misael. We went for unlimited shrimp only to find it ended few days prior, what a shame! So we ordered a few things off the menu to try them, and they were pretty disappointing. The waiter was very nice and pleasant, and rather attentive, if not for him the review would be a 1* one. The biscuits had no flavor. When I went last week, they were full of flavor and warm, these seemed day old and sad. And that's the best part of the meal. The acidity and tartness of the brussel sprouts end up fighting with the asian sauce added to them and instead of mixing together contrast too heavily, making them a chore to eat. The sauce also ruins the crispiness of the brussel sprouts when dosed with sauce, a reduction would have been much better. The lobster potato was just bad. The lobster wasn't cooked well and just feels like an afterthought. The potato itself is neither warm nor soft, and too aggressive a dish to eat. No butter, no salt, and minimal flavor ruin this side. Rather than standing out, the lobster instead sinks in and becomes lost with overcooking ruining the flavor. The bacon mac and cheese is just bacon mac and cheese. A small side that doesn't come with much bacon at all, there's no reason to charge additional money for this. The steak and lobster tails. The steak is fine, if a bit on the small side. The lower cost justifies this, but it definitely feels cheap on the steak, a small hockey puck sort of add on for the sake of saying it's there. The lobster tail was very dried out and didn't even fill the shell it came in, like we were given someone else's and that person paid more so they got ours. The flounder is... Fine. But again, there isn't much flavor and that ruins the dish. The lobster as well has little flavor once again, relying on the sauce to give it flavor it should have. The sauce is fine, flavorful, but it should not be the centerfold of the dish. It should be an accent to allow the flounder (and lobster) stand out, not overpower them entirely. After a while, it just tastes like eating mush, and it gets cold very quickly. read more

I got the Ultimate Feast and the name says it all, a glorious feast indeed! *Lobster, Scallops, Buttered Shrimp, Fried Shrimp what a seafood extravaganza! We came on Christmas Eve, but it was not crowded at all. The waiter was very friendly and came checking on us very often during our meal. The food was good, especially the lobsters were cooked very well. Lobsters were fresh and not too big. The only thing I did not like was the rice was too hard. I'm giving it 2 stars because our server was great. We got there about an hour before closing and the restaurant was empty. I had never seen so few people. We ordered right away and it took 35 minutes to get our food. We ordered shrimp an seriously nothing cooks quicker. They can't say it was slow because they were busy. Because there was NO ONE there. We had the all you can eat shrimp. I liked the teriyaki best but really none of the choices were very good. Once we got our first order the others came quickly. And, as I said, our server was great. About 15 minutes before closing time another table was seated next to us. From our seats we could hear their server, near the kitchen, screaming about how annoyed he was to get another table. It was very unprofessional. Red Lobster is a place we hit about once every 6-7 years. Honestly, I feel like this restaurant has gone down hill. We used to like going to this restaurant when I was younger and get quality seafood. But now I feel like it's different. First, we dine as a family of 4 on a Wednesday night at 7 pm and we have to wait. I have seen this done at Olive Garden before and there are plenty of empty tables but you always have to wait for ~5-10 minutes for an "open table." We got the special of soup and salad, main dish and dessert for 17.99 per person. If you come before 6 there are weekly specials Monday-Friday. Our waiter Carlos was very attentive. But the quality of food was sub par and nothing crazy to write home about. So I would recommend if you were in the mood for red lobster, go for one of their lunch specials or other specials and definitely not pay full price. Side note: I had a never used Olive Garden gift card that on the back said accepted at red lobster and longhorn and they wouldn't accept it. So check with your server before hand read more
