I formed a great relationship with all my kids and their families. I ended up basically getting bullied by my coworkers. And then my boss, Janet Conrad. I took off via text, sick for the 2nd time ever. I didn't answer my phone in the 9 times she called me from 9am-942am. I was sleeping. Resting. As I felt horrible. She then shows up at my house because I didn't answer my phone. She claims she was worried about me. No. She came with a whole attitude. If she was worried, the professional thing to do would have been to call my emergency contacts. That's what they're there for right? My guy let her in, then he walked away and went to the bathroom. She cursed me out for taking off and not answering her phone calls. Saying I screwed her. Then slammed the door shut on her way out. I had started feeling sick that Thursday before, and just had not gotten better. I was scared to call off Tuesday and Wednesday. So I went to work, driving at least 100+ kids each AM and PM run. Wednesday night, I didn't sleep. I was really bad off. I made a Dr appt Thursday morning ASAP. I took off and told her I was going to the Dr. I got tested for covid, flu and RSV. Well, covid came back positive. Covid FINALLY got me. It was awful. So I was off work the rest of Thursday and Friday per my Dr orders. I was quarantined til Sunday then. Went back to work Monday. That was it. I was done. I've had enough. I gave my notice that that was my last week. I couldn't do it anymore. Worst management ever. Before that all happened, I asked for permission to mention over the radio to coworkers that my daughter was doing a fundraiser for marching band and if anyone was interested, the info is in the office with my phone #, text me and I'll send the info. I GOT HER PERMISSION FOR THAT!! Then later that evening, she calls me up and chews me out for doing so! Bipolar much? I was a very good employee. I did a lot of trips for them. With them being as short staffed as they are, they should really treat people better. And pay better too. Since she took over that office, they've lost a lot of drivers. And even lot a couple more after I left. Poor poor management!!! I've since moved onto a much better company. Much appreciation and better pay too! I miss allllll my kiddos so much. It brings me so much joy when I get to see them out and about though with their families. It fills my heart so much!

Motorcoach Operator Ahmed Abusief drove my group from Maryland to Cape May and Atlantic City, NJ,…read morein December 2024. In a word, TERRIFIC best describes him! During the 3-day trip, Ahmed was personable and fit in with the group members and interacted with them when he wasn't driving. But most importantly, he was a very safe driver that I could relax with from the front seat. The motorcoach was very clean and well-maintained, and when we got some rain, Ahmed made sure to cover the steps into the bus to avoid slippage. The company is top-notch!

There are not enough good things we can say about this driver and this company. Our agency has been taking motor coach tours throughout the country with a variety of motor coach companies since the late 1970s. I cannot speak of the tours prior to 1992, but, in the last 30 years, I do not believe we had a better bus driver than, Dee or a better motor coach. Dee showed superb driving skills with the ability to get to destinations in a timely manner without sacrificing safety and security. While driving Dee was able to provide a safe and comfortable experience for our travelers. She helped the passengers in all aspects of the trip, even when our chaperones were ill and were unable to go along on some spots on this trip. Dee went above and beyond when the hotel our group was staying at let us down. Dee was polite, courteous, and showed a professional manner with all passengers at all times. She was also outgoing and had a personality that kept our tour lively and fun. In past trips we have had very good drivers and drivers that were very personable, but, Dee provided the best combination of outstanding driving and great customer relations. Everything was good, with the mashed potatoes, corn and green beans as the standout items. Plenty of food was left over, so if you left hungry, it was your own fault. Sarah was trying to get all of us to eat more. The only slight negative was the van we rode in. A little tight when full, and a little difficult for older people to use.

Every once in a while you drive past a place so many times that it almost becomes part of the…read morescenery. That was the Turkey Hill Experience for me. I'd driven past it countless times over the last few years but either didn't have enough time to stop or couldn't convince anyone else to stop with me. During my Lancaster Adventure Day, though, all of that changed. I purchased a Single Scoop ticket online ahead of time for $16.75 and reserved the very first time slot of the day at 10am. I figured a late-summer Thursday morning would be the sweet spot, and it turned out to be a great decision. It was busy enough that the place felt lively but not so crowded that I had to wait for every exhibit. Parking was plentiful, and I somehow managed to snag a spot right in front of the GIANT cow out front. Honestly, my day was already off to a fantastic start! The only hiccup of the visit came during check-in. Even though I'd already purchased my ticket online, I still had to wait in the same line as everyone buying gift shop items, purchasing admission and asking questions. Since there were only a two employees working both the registers and admissions, the line moved a little slower than I expected. If I could change one thing, it would be creating a separate express check-in line for folks who already have tickets. Once I finally made it inside, though, everything became easy peasy! The exhibits are completely self-guided, so you can wander at your own pace learning how Turkey Hill makes its ice cream and iced tea while playing with interactive displays along the way. One of my favorite parts was creating my own virtual ice cream flavor, complete with custom packaging. I also wanted to film my own Turkey Hill commercial, but those stations stayed busy the entire time I was there, so that'll have to wait until another visit. Naturally, I made a beeline for the tea sampling station. As someone who appreciates sugar-free options, I was thrilled to find both Zero Sugar Sweet Tea and Zero Sugar Fruit Punch available to sample. Both were fantastic! Then it was time for the part we'd all been waiting for...unlimited ice cream samples. One thing I really appreciated is that they weren't tiny little "blink and it's gone" samples. You picked two flavors, and they served actual scoops in a bowl. For an attraction centered around ice cream, that felt exactly right. My only tiny complaint? Wooden popsicle sticks instead of spoons. They definitely got the job done, but they made eating melting ice cream a little more awkward than it needed to be. Still...free and unlimited ice cream? I'm not about to complain too loudly! I spent about an hour wandering through the exhibits, playing with the interactive displays and enjoying the air conditioning on a hot August morning before making one final stop in the gift shop. Prices there were about what you'd expect for a tourist attraction, but there were plenty of fun souvenirs if you're looking to bring a little Turkey Hill home with you. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend visiting the Turkey Hill Experience at least once. I don't know that it's somewhere I'd return over and over again, but it was a fun, interactive way to spend an hour learning something new, eating entirely acceptable quantities of free ice cream and escaping the August heat. That sounds like a pretty successful adventure day to me!

Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, Pennsylvania is a historic cemetery that was documented by the Historic American Landscapes Survey. Founded in 1849, is the final resting place for soldiers from every American war. Two Medal of Honor recipients from the Civil War are buried on the premises. historic graves including those of Declaration of Independence signer Philip Livingston, Civil War Union Corps Commander William Buell Franklin, and Civil War industrialist Arthur Briggs Farquhar.
