Within two days, my check engine light and oil light came on, and my car began making a rhythmic clanking noise. I immediately stopped driving and had the vehicle towed back to the shop. The tow truck driver even noted there was a pool of oil under my car. When the vehicle was inspected, I was told there was no drain plug on the oil pan, which would explain the oil loss. However, instead of clearly taking responsibility, I was given multiple inconsistent explanations, including claims about engine recalls and poor prior maintenance, neither of which applied to my vehicle. I have documentation showing my previous oil change was only about 2,200 miles prior. I was also told that a regional manager would be coming to inspect the vehicle and that I would be contacted when he arrived. Instead, I received a call around 1:30 PM stating the car was "fixed" and ready for pickup, without ever being notified that the regional manager had actually reviewed the vehicle Although the shop eventually refilled the oil and stated the engine is "fine," I am left with concerns about potential long-term damage due to oil loss, as well as a new noise when using the A/C that was not present before. I will be going to a Hyundai dealership to check if there are any damages. This experience was stressful and disappointing. I expected a routine service, but instead dealt with a potentially serious mechanical issue and inconsistent communication. They gave me options but they didn't "push" products or services unlike in the past (yes the previous Managment). They were too attentive, the service was too good to be true so I grew suspicious and went to Yelp for answers and saw the bad reviews. Although I never had a bad experience there, based on what I saw today, I think they deserve another chance. I love the fact that you can sit in the car while they service it and they show you the fresh oil level on the dipstick when they are done.
