After investigating all my dog walking options, I decided to stay with the Brookland outlet of Saving Grace because I had such a good experience with my former location, they came highly recommended by some friends in the new 'hood, and the owners are sons of a former teacher of my children. Basically, I'm loyal and it's all about relationships. I have not been disappointed! Patrick and Adam have been great with my 2 dogs who have different needs. One is an active rescue mutt who loves a good long walk, and the other is an English Bulldog 1+ yr old puppy with lots of energy but not a lot of walking stamina who just recently had ACL and meniscus surgery! Saving Grace Brookland has been responsive, accommodating, flexible, and helpful in adjusting to our various needs over the past 9 months since we started with them. They are responsive to emails, and leave a daily update about their visit in a notebook at my house. Overall great, can't say enough nice things! Glad they are in the neighborhood for my doggos!

They are flexible, affordable, reliable and my dog loves them. I travel often and frequently on short notice, so Saving Grace has "saved" me many times from having to scramble to find boarding or forcing us to re-arrange our work schedule to look after our dog and cats. They have never let me down and are always quick to follow up with a response and confirmation. I would recommend Saving Grace to anyone.

Cheverly Wags is Awesome!!…read more Hello animal fans! I'd like to send a resounding endorsement of the "Cheverly Wags"care team. This family operated team stepped up and helped my family with dog walking needs and they have been amazing. I contacted them on two separate occasions with last minute needs and they responded immediately, both times!! They walked both of my dogs and sent pictures to show how much fun they were having. My older dog now stands at the door in anticipation of Vincent's arrival, whining and with his tail wagging with excitement, in anticipation of his walk! My younger "big boy" is behaving better and also enjoys his time with Vincent!! What a testament to great service! I plan to use them often and suggest you consider them when you have similar needs!! My cousin actually referred us who also completed the 10 week basic obedience class, but they took it in Beltsville, MD. (6826 Distribution Drive, Beltsville, MD). The location in Davidsonville offers a weekly 10am class, and for a night shift busy RN, that was the most convenient. This is my first time ever owning a dog, so it was just as much of a learning experience for me as it was for Kimchi. Karen Long, our instructor was great! She is very knowledgeable, and you can tell has a lot of experience working with canines. Kimchi was taught to sit, stay, recall, heal around obstacles, etc. This pup is so hyper, can't focus, and loves to socialize, that I was afraid he wasn't going to graduate lol. (He's so much like his owner!!!) There were probably around 6 of us that completed the course so the class was not big at all. I'm glad because if there were more, that's more dogs to distract Kimchi lol. He's definitely come a long way, and I plan on continuing the training with him at home. For 10 weeks of training at $100, that's a steal!!! Also, for those that have completed the Basic or Puppy class are also eligible to become an annual member of the Canine Training Association. The annual dues are $180 (includes all dogs in the household) and can register to any classes. I definitely look forward to more classes in the future!

There are two locations, Davidsonville, MD and Beltsville, MD. There were challenges during our class time - dealing with COVID, distancing, masking, and keeping things clean. We also delayed the class a few times due to adverse weather. During this class we learned to sit, down, and stand stay, heel around obstacles and by my side, tolerate being around other dogs without playing, recall and other basic but important behaviors. Karen was always enthusiastic and encouraging, and even provided a few tips and tricks, as well as some personal stories she has learned and experienced over the years. Her dog, Birdie, was quite an example to follow. The price was quite reasonable and the class size was small enough for us to maintain COVID recommendations for distancing. When possible, we had our class outside. Classes available include Obedience, Manners, Rally, Agility, Nose Work, among others. We are looking forward to our next course!
