Tried this place for a Friday lunch and we were the only ones there at noon. Service was slow which was a surprise. Our meal came with a free boba drink. The steak was a thin ribeye. Flavors were ok. interesting concept but not sure if i'll be coming back as it was ok
This place has improved over the years and I just came back today with a friend to eat. I had gotten the ribeye steak with fries and mashed potatoes. My friend had gotten the steak garlic noodles. We also got golden fries fish balls which are always a hit every time. The total came out to $54 which isn't bad at all. Service is fast and there are new things added to the menu that I'm excited to try next time.
Place is big and spacious, plenty of parking since it's in a big strip mall. The service is very nice and politely. Some of the foods we want to tried are not available here then one in Irvine (per the server said since they're short staff here). The foods are just aok, nothing appealing much (except the pics). The meat was bla...tasteless without the sauces but the fried was great, crispy outside and soft inside, perfectly fried. And the noodle was ok, I had better before and plenty of it. I wasn't disappointed since with the prices, you kind of wonder if it could be that good, and no it wasn't, just aok. I should have order the hot pot instead since they're known for it. Oh well, next time.
Service was great. Lots of variety on their menu. Good came quick and had good flavor. A little salty for me, but I have a low tolerance. The stock was flavorful with a good ginger flavor.
My friends and I came here for dinner, but most of us didn't order the hot pot. The one friend who did didn't finish her meal or rave about it, so take that as you will. That said, here's a review of the other entrees. We arrived on a Monday night at 9 PM, and there was no wait; we were practically the only customers. Most of us ordered the ribeye steak (medium) with different side options. I went with French fries and broccoli. They also gave us a hilariously pathetic side salad. Literally just a handful of lettuce with a squirt of vinegar. Ribeye Steak: 3/5 Mediocre at best. Given the price, I wasn't expecting a high-quality cut, but it was still underwhelming. The hot griddle made it messy to eat since the steak juices were leaking everywhere, some even spilled off the wooden tray. The fries were crispy, the broccoli was just blanched with no seasoning, and none of the sauces were particularly good (not that steak really needs sauce imo). For the price, Red Flame is fine. It gives off Denny's vibes: you're not really here for the food but if there's nothing else to eat (which, by the way, there is. Sabrosada is across the plaza), it'll do.
I visited Red Flame for the first time and was really excited about their menu! They have individualized hot pot, quite a range of drinks, and steaks. It's also pretty affordable (our steak was a little over $20 - it was huge AND included sides)! Side note, I noticed that the waitstaff are pretty hands-off and there were only 2 other parties on a weekend evening. I liked the steak and the portions but the sides (mashed potato and fries) were unfortunately a little lackluster. The mashed potato was lacking flavor and kind of reminded me of powdered mashed potatoes. I also tried their lychee lemonade; if you like sweet, syrupy lemonades then this is for you, but personally did not find it refreshing.
We came on a Monday night and it was not busy with plenty of tables. Everything on the menu was under $23 dollars. The hotpots were $15.95. Honestly, this was such a great value! I live in San Jose and this would be $23-26 just for the hotpot. All the appetizers were great! My favorite was the egg rolls. My friend and I split the house special hot pot and the steak. The hot pot had great flavors but not a lot of toppings. The meat was overly cooked and too dried. The steak was tender and came with three different types of sauces. Overall, a good valued place with good food. There were only two waiters and they tried their best to keep up with all the orders and requests (we were a party of 11 with 3 kids).
My family came here on a weekday for lunch for a graduation party. There was only one other party there besides us. Service: 3/5 We made reservations for our group of 14 and when we got there, the tables were not set up. I understand that they were still in a soft opening phase, but their service was incredibly slow. I know we had a large party, but took about 40 minutes to get all the food out. Some members of the party finished their whole meal before others got their food. I also wanted to share that they might be understaffed and we feel bad for the waitress. She was the only person in the front and she was taking order, refilling broth, bringing out our foods, and answering the phone. If they had a full restaurant, I don't know how they could have managed this with just one server. Food: 3/5 The food was decent. My point of reference is Boiling Point, and I think BP is better. Their hotpot was flavorful and the dipping sauce for the meat was good. Their steak however was almost inedible (see photo). The steak was 60% chewy fat. We had two people in our party order the steak, one was decent, the other was terrible so they need to be more consistent with their cuts. They ended up comping the fatty steak so we're grateful for that. My advice would be to not order a steak at the hotpot specializing restaurant. Lastly, I just wanted to mention that this place had a Yelp check-in for a free drink. The check-in was active on Yelp and did not have an expiration or anything. After we all checked in, the waitress said they were not honoring the check-in. Please take it off your page if it is no longer valid.
I was craving for hot pot for a week and finally got my craving fix today. My husband ordered the Thai Hot Pot and I ordered House Special Hot Pot. Both hot pot came with a boba drink. I ordered the lychee lemonade and my husband ordered the mango lemonade. Lychee lemonade was mediocre but the mango lemonade was good. Great service but we were the only customers at the restaurant. Probably because of the construction that's happening. I enjoyed my House Special Hot Pot a lot more than my husband's. My house special came with ramen, beef balls, fish cake, Napa cabbage, slice beef. Soup base had some lemongrass flavored. Ambiance is typical like Boiling point. It is spacious at this restaurant.
For a place that has ramen, pho, steak, and hot pot, you wouldn't think it would be good. But everything my family ordered was decent! I got the Tonkatsu ramen and my partner had the Miso ramen. Though not as authentic as it would be at a Japanese ramen shop, it was decent and a lot of food! It also included a soy sauce egg which was a little too salty but I could see other people loving that. You can get your ramen mild, hot, extra spicy, or not spicy. I was surprised that mild was enough to tickle my throat. With every entree, everyone also got a free drink! Not sure how long they're doing that for so go get yours soon.
I love me some red flame. However, I go there not for their hot pot, but their steak. I'm no steak snob, I just like tasty food. The steak is pretty good, and their sauces are great too. It's a hearty amount of food for $20 with two sides and the sizzling from the steak they bring on a hot rock makes me happy. The restaurant is nice and clean, a modern place to eat at. The service is good, and the food will usually take around 20 minutes to come out, an expected amount of time.
They have a variety of different items here which is nice when everyone all wants different things. The service was quick and friendly. We went during lunch hours so we got free drinks. I got the spiciest level specialty hot pot. I thought it was just okay. It didn't come with as much proteins, veggies, or fillers like. The broth was also just okay. I liked that their chili oil and garlic sauce is what it is. There is another sauce which I thought was soybean like other places but it had a smell and kick to it almost like they added horseradish in it. I didn't really like it. My husband got the prime rib that came out on a hot skillet that kept it cooking and warm the entire time. He said it was really good. My son got ramen and I don't think he liked it too much lol but I didn't try it so I don't know.
Jack of all trades, master of none. The value for what you get impressed me because while it's most likely not the best you'll ever have, the food does taste good. The house special ramen with a spice level of 2 packed a decent heat that wasn't overwhelming. The hotpot has some good complexity. The boba, unfortunately tasted watery from the jump, but it was free so can't complain too much. I've never been here while the place was packed, but the customer service has always been very good. Friendly servers that check on us at regular intervals.

My kid and I were in the area shopping and was hungry. Behind the new cafe and this plaza is busy for parking and open during construction. Free drink with any entree and Leo was very attentive. It was just him working 3-4 tables and he was great. I ordered the special hot pot and my kid got garlic noodles with beef. Excellent as always and clean place. If ever in the area again we would definitely go. Highly recommend! read more

Wow so worth it for the value and quality! The individual hot pot servings are filling, and were a great option on a cold day. I ordered the Korean kimchi with flaming mild. This spice level is good for some spice while still being able to enjoy the food. The kimchi flavor was prominent and not too salty. It comes with meat, seafood, veggies and either rice or vermicelli (wish it had ramen tho). The fire was boiling a lot, so I asked to turn it off after the egg was cooked. The server was very attentive and checked in often to ask if we needed anything. If you're craving something soupy, this is the place to go! TDLR: Experiences were progressively worse due to service - will not be returning. 1st visit: Husband and I went because he was craving hot pot and I ramen. We got curry hot pot and miso ramen. The hot pot was 8/10 because the flavor and richness were there but also not the best hot pot ever. I say the ramen was 5/10; it hits the spot in terms of cravings but it wasn't very deep in flavor - would not order ramen again from here based on that. Service was slow but tolerable. 2nd visit: In short, I was physically hurt by a server. I understand and overheard the servers telling other tables that they were understaffed. (I think they were down at least 1 staff member, comparing to last visit.) However, in the server's rush, he pushed into a chair, which resulted in sandwiching my arm in between two arm rests of their metal chairs. There was a lot of pressure and my bicep area was hurting for a good couple hours afterwards. In addition, because the chair was angled to push down on my arm, everything on the chair (umbrella and menu) fell. All of this chaos happened and the server didn't even turn around to acknowledge and/or apologize. I understand rushing because it's dinner time, however, if I were to hit a chair with my body, I would turn back to make sure all was good. Service otherwise: still slow and got requested things after asking a couple times. I would like to commend a different server (that took our order) for his advisory. I asked for a boba drink and he said it would be a 20-30 min wait. Therefore, I was warned (though I did ask to just remove it). I also like that they have a Yelp waitlist available. Food-wise, my family and I ordered one of the steaks, steak and garlic noodles, mushroom hot pot, and house special hot pot. The steak was 7/10: hits the spot and good price, though a bit dry and fries were not seasoned. The steak and garlic noodle was 7/10 as well: good, but I think it's spaghetti pasta, whereas I was expecting the noodles like Asian restaurants serve for lobster noodles. The mushroom hot pot was 8/10: to me, a little too light and under-seasoned but my husband preferred that. Also, the menu said it included enoki mushroom and he said he didn't receive any. Lastly, the house special hot pot was 8.5/10: pretty rich in flavor and good assortment of vegetables and food in the pot. They did come around to refill our pots with more water a couple times. To conclude, food-wise, mostly good if you stick to their hot pots. Service is essentially non-existent; expect to wait awhile for your requests. read more
Flavorful, spicy, and a variety of foods all in one! Parent-approved and they're usually more picky than I am LOL On a Sunday afternoon around 1PM, parking was plentiful, and we got a spot right up in front. It's a large parking area anyway so I don't suspect it being too much of an issue when it's busier. - fries were crispy thoughout the meal :,) - Premium Ribeye Steak ($20.95) was tender (enough) for my parents, but the knife was dull so it was difficult to cut... I probably wouldn't get this again unless I was really craving steak (though I'd prefer the garlic steak noodles in this case). I liked the presentation on the hot plate tho - Garlic Steak noodles ($14.95) were garlicky goodness with v tender filet mignon - House Special ($14.95): so spicy which I appreciate for "very spicy" LOL but full of flavor too!!! Had to ask for soup refills multiple times for the spice to be manageable lmaooo but we loved the pain - Golden Fish Balls ($10.95) wouldnt get again bc it's basic and it's included in your hotpot lol, the only difference is that this is fried - Wintermelon GT ($4.25) - very affordable and not too sweet Would come back fo shoooo also service A+ read more

My friends wanted to grab something warm to eat before we returned to Disneyland for fireworks during Dapper Day. One of them looked up this place on Yelp and we decided to try it out. It is in a small plaza with some other businesses. Because we went in the evening, it wasn't too hard to find a spot to park in. Another friend requested a table before we got there and by the time we parked, our table was ready and we were seated right away. I ordered the beef hot pot and my friends got other dishes. One of the waiters who waited on us shared that if you checked in on Yelp, you could get a complimentary lemonade or tea (minus any add-ons). I did the check-in and got a free strawberry lemonade, which came in the largest size! Strawberry lemonade was fresh and didn't taste too sweet. It was very refreshing. The hot pot was delicious and I added my own spice to the pot from the containers on the table. If you order hot pot, it comes with its own mini stove to cook it and keep it nice and warm. You got quite a bit of food for the price you paid. I would come back here again. read more
We were at Disneyland and wanted to try a new place around here. Even though Westminster was still about 20 mins away from Disneyland, this place looked good based on the reviews. We were seated right away even though the wait times were kind of off. Good amount of people here but tables were available. Besides the food, was only kind of disappointed at the slow service. What looked good here was the different options you get but it was really three main dishes - steak, hot pot or ramen. They also have boba and alcohol which was a plus with the alcohol offering. We ordered their ramen but I didn't really get to taste it much since I didn't want to ruin my appetite. I did try the broth and it was pretty good. I've tried their Prime Rib and Sirloin Steak and if I had to choose to try again, definitely the Prime Rib. I think their Prime Rib is the best option there. Sirloin was a bit dry for me but makes sense since it's less fatty. The Prime Rib was actually perfect; loved the sides we get to choose from the 4 options and the sauces that goes with it. To also be put on a skillet? Not too shabby. Definitely a great place to go. read more

NGL, the water here tasted really funny. Didn't drink it. The servers were attentive and friendly. - Fried Fish Tofu 3/5 Fish tofu with the eggs inside!!! My favorite type of fish tofu! This was really good and there was a lot of pieces. However, it was a VERY VERY VERY oily appetizer.. I wouldn't get it again..... - Japanese Miso (hottest level) 3/5 Hottest level wasn't even that spicy. They skimp out on giving you noodles. They literally broke the udon noodle in half :(. However, the dish comes with a side of rice or vermicelli noodles. The sauces were also just mediocre... I wouldn't come here again. Would rather just go to boiling point and wait. This place is KILLING IT. Seriously, $11 ramen? $14 hotpot? $18 10oz steak that cook to your preference in 2022? Once awhile, i stumble upon business that blow me away. This restaurant is 1 of them. The restaurants hides away at a business strip mall on Brookhurst. Right off the bet, it has great decoration inside and out. The restaurant banner, waiting benches on the outside, glass walls are all eye catching. It is the same story on the inside, brick pattern wall is a good complement with the indoor lighting. Now the food, They mainly offer 3 style of food. Ramen, Hotpot and Steak combo. I have tried the lamb hotpot and sirloin steak cooked to medium rare. No wonder this restaurant gets 3000 reviews. It just offer value that i haven't seen before and I eat out with my gf every week. If you take a look at my picture, my steak is slight red. It is cooked to medium rare. When you order the hotpot, they give you so much ingredient. I get very full after finishing the meal. This restaurant may become 1 of my favorite and i would definitely return again. read more
So I went to one of my favorite restaurant on Monday and they were closed. I was then looking for a ramen place nearby that is supposed to be good, but landed here by mistake. Was going to order the house special but the charsu meat looks pretty fatty in the picture, and the waiter confirmed that it is fatty. So I ordered the creamy veggies ramen with tofu and egg instead. The bowl was brought out piping hot. Noodles were a bit too overdone for my liking. I like my noodles undercooked a bit and chewy, and I did tell the waiter that. Broth was a bit too salty, so was the egg. I think the egg was one of those salted eggs. Chili sauce is actually good. It has the sate flavor. Not the best, but not the worst either. Not sure if I will be back again though. read more
I've been wanting to try Red Flame for a couple of months now and was really excited to go. We went on a Sunday around 6:30pm, which was perfect because we were seated right away. I noticed that it got busier after 7pm. It took a while before the server took our orders, it also took a while for the food to come. I noticed that the people who ordered the plates got their food much faster compared to the ones who ordered the hot pot. It was worth the wait though, my house special hot pot was really tasty. Mom got the no spice veggie hot pot, hubby got the mild beef hot pot and I got the spicy house special hot pot. Since I already ordered the spicy hot pot, I only used the soy garlic sauce on the side. I really enjoyed my hot pot. It was really filling and I don't think I would normally be able to finish it on my own but I was extra hungry at that time so I didn't have a hard time finishing the whole pot by myself. Can't wait to go back to try the other menu items! read more

Food was good, but the service could've been better. Although our food did come out quickly, the server never came to check if we needed anything else or to refill water for us. I ordered the flaming hot Thai Hotpot, broth was flavorful and big enough portion for me to share. The garlic noodles with steak was good, meat was cooked perfectly, not super chewy or tough. House special Ramen was decent, the flavor could've been better. There is ample parking and on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too busy so we were able to be seated quickly. read more

This place is a mix of many different food options. I don't usually come here for its hot pots and noodles though. This place is nice for families who want to go out for a dinner and need a place to try out. I usually order the Lava Stone Steaks. This is the most filling item for me since we are able to pick two sides of our choice. The mashed potatoes are nothing special so I would settle for any of the other sides as an option. I'm sure you can ask the server if you can have the cook make your steak to your preference, but mine has always came out medium rare and the rest of the time would be spent on the Lava Stone cooking. This place was always in my bookmarks and I've always wanted to try it since I was also a big fan of Boiling Point. I was pretty excited to see what the difference was between the two! First off, I didn't get to walk inside to check how the restaurant was like, so I assumed this place would be super busy because of its high reviews. I used the Yelp waitlist and it told me it would be a 15 minute wait. After 15 minutes, I went to go check-in and there were SOOO many tables open. I then got another notification from the Yelp waitlist saying that "Red Flame is busier than usual, check back again in another 20 minutes" when clearly there were so many tables open??? I showed the server the app and he was unsure why either, so let's say the Yelp waitlist for this place is pretty inaccurate. Also, walking in here, the restaurant smelled like a public restroom (or restroom cleaning products). It did not smell pleasant, hoping it would be an aroma of yummy food, but it just smelled like a restroom in there. Sitting down, the tables also felt a bit sticky and grimey. This place did not feel clean at all, especially when they should be during these COVID times. Service was quick, considering that this place was not busy at all. The sauce containers on the side were also kind of sticky and crusty looking from the use of other people using the sauces. One of the sauces were pretty skeptical because it tasted a bit sour, which I was also unsure what that sauce was. The other two (spicy chili and garlic?) were fine. I ordered the Beef Hot Pot and I thought the soup tasted okay. It definitely has a Vietnamese influence to it, but I didn't enjoy the beef and beef fish balls in it. The beef had this frozen flavored aftertaste, such as when you put something in the freezer too long and you eat it months later and it has that frozen aftertaste? It tasted like that. The beef balls also tasted cheap and had this weird jelly texture in it? My mom also had a very very sour mushroom in her hot pot. I felt like everything did not taste that great besides the imitation crab and cabbage... Despite such high reviews of this place, I was embarrassed taking my parents here for dinner. This isn't the authentic Taiwanese hot pot you would imagine, so Boiling Point is definitely way better than here. read more

Red Flame is a popular Asian restaurant with a variety of food choices. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try because 1. the ratings were good, 2. they offer a good variety of Asian food, and 3. the prices were reasonable. I was able to rsvp'd online through Yelp about 20-30 minutes prior to arriving, but I still had to wait another 15-20 minutes for a table. The place was packed and there were lots of people waiting outside. We finally got a large booth, which was a good size for a large party. I ordered the garlic noodles with steak (filet mignon) ($12.95). I asked for lots of garlic and the steak to be cooked medium rare. When the garlic noodles came out, they did not have much garlic flavor at all. The garlic flavor was minimal and the noodles were plain and bland. Another person in our party ordered the same dish and had to put hot sauce on their noodles because it was really lacking flavor. The steak was a little overcooked for my liking and there weren't as many pieces of steak as pictured. Nevertheless, it meat was okay, but overall, this was probably the most disappointing dish at our table. The ramen dishes were really good! We ordered the tonkotsu ramen, house special ramen, and shoyu ramen, all $10.95 each. I tried the tonkotsu ramen and the broth was very flavorful! The noodles had great texture and the soft boiled egg was delicious! Everyone that ordered ramen was pretty satisfied. We also ordered a House Special Hot Pot ($13.95) plus instant noodle ($1.50). It's an individual hot pot and comes with plenty of ingredients - sliced beef, enoki mushrooms, shitake mushrooms, shrimp, napa cabbage, and fish and beef balls. Overall, it was the flavor was pretty good and satisfying. The waitress came by once to add broth, but it looked like she only added hot water. Overall, service was pretty good considering they were packed and busy. Overall, Red Flame is a pretty good Asian restaurant with a decent variety of Asian food. Ramen is a pretty good choice, but I would not order the garlic noodles with steak. This restaurant is good for small groups and only has four large booths for larger parties. Make sure to rsvp through Yelp to get a head start on the waitlist. read more

I love hotpot and was hoping for the best at this place since there are so many good reviews, so I had to try it. ON THE MENU: Beef Hotpot and Thai Hotpot: overall for both soups, I feel like the broth itself was okay, but the toppings weren't the best. Regular cabbage instead of Napa cabbage did not make the dish taste even better, and I have never seen a hotpot place that had regular cabbage instead, and not in a good way. The sauce that comes with the hotpot isn't great either (especially compared to boiling point). But the garlic soy sauce was the best and I really did love that one! RIBEYE STEAK: this is the dish I would always order if I come back! I love the concept, and the meat stays warm. If you prefer it undercooked, it may not be the best idea to get this since it cooks it pretty quickly! It comes with salad, your choice of two sides (rice, mashed potato's, fries, vegetables), and 3 different sauces. The sauces are bbq, a1, and a hot sauce (not sriracha). These are doable, but they don't really enhance the flavor or the steak and just overpowers it too much for me. I prefer to eat the steak with the garlic soy sauce provided! I wish they could come up with better sauces, but this will do for now. The space itself feels clean, modern! read more

came here on a sunday at 12pm and there was no wait but it did start getting crowded around 1pm. tbh the food tasted much better than i expected since there are a lot of bad reviews and reviews saying the good reviews are fake/paid. i ordered the lamb hot soup at the max (red flame) spicy level with rice. flavor of the broth is good, but my biggest issue is that they don't give you all of the ingredients listed on the menu. for example the pork blood was missing in mine which is the main reason why i ordered the lamb :/ not sure if they forgot it this time, but i'd say make sure to double check that everything is in there. the amount of toppings they put in there looks actually quite sad compared to the irl versions of the menu pics. other than that, the sauces are not even close to being as good as boiling point. the soy sauce is literally just soy sauce and they have this spicy chili sauce that is okay. i also ordered a jasmine milk green tea which tasted fine, but there's probably better boba places in the area. would recommend bp over this place any day of the week. read more
Came in to try the steak! Service is still nice but a little understaffed ( like one waiter when I came around lunch time). Hot pot is the same boiling pot, same variety & flavor. If you get mild it's not spicy so good for people who can't handle it. Also tried the banh xeo and steak. The banh xeo is not very recommended as it was on the softer side and hard to bundle up and eat. But may have been user error - not sure. The steak comes in a filling portion size and hot plate, it is the priciest item I think around 18.95 so this place is very cost effective, however I would probably go for a dryer steak such as New York since the marbling wasn't too premium but the meat was cooked to the doneness I requested. Not too flavored or fragrant but it comes with barbecue sauce, hot sauce and this sour herby spiced sauce. ( all dark). Mashed potatoes and fries were okay. Water was tap tasting. Bathrooms were really clean , but didn't have paper towels. Was just surprised the bathroom was quite clean so that's a plus. Parking was okay as its in a plaza with a variety of stores but not as open as like a grocery store parking lot. Overall recommended for big groups due to the wide space available & if you want a value meal since the place is pretty cost effective. read more

This place was super yummy! It is definitely on the more mild side but it was nice having something a little bit lighter for hot pot. Definitely more of a clear broth. I definitely enjoyed how hot the soup was (even though my tongue didn't) and it kept me quite full. There's also a perfect level of spice. I got the beef hot pot with instant noodles and vermicelli. Staff was also friendly and checked up on us and the space was very clean and open. They also serve boba which is fairly decent. Not my favorite hot pot place, but it was still very enjoyable. Parents wanted to go out to eat and initially they were suggesting pizza; however, given that I was going out of town and probably eating heavy I suggested hot pot. Mom was fine and dad want up for it, but I told him there's other things he could order there as well. With that said, his expectation was low and wasn't looking forward to it. My mom ordered the seafood hot pot to share with him and I wanted my own (so I got Thai hot pot) since each pot is meant for individual serving. I had mine at mild spicy and parents were no spicy at all. Mom loved it and they both devoured the pot. She wasn't completely full and wanted more but because mine was a bit too spicy she couldn't quite enjoy mine. My mom and dad wanted to come back again so I'm glad they got to experience this and maybe next time I'll go mild and have spice on the side for them to enjoy, but regardless I did finish my pot hahaha The service there was fairly good. Nothing special, but not awful either. Will have to come back to see if that service is consistent or if it was due to lack of customers at the time. Wait time for food was about 15 minutes and parking can be a bit packed due to multiple restauranteurs and limited parking spots. I recommend carpooling read more

I will NEVER ever ever come back to this place. The soup broth is beyond what I can image.... It is like sea water. I dont know what I was I eating in fact. Meats are bad as well.... Sauces are speechless and off. Terrible! Don't waste your money to come here. read more

First time coming here and I am a big fan! Came here on a Thursday night around 8 pm and got seated right away. I ordered the house special hot pot and the fried golden fishballs. The fishballs came out right away and had the sweet chili sauce as the dipping sauce. I enjoyed these especially since I like to eat the fishballs with the roe inside which is exactly what they had. My hot pot came out pretty quickly as well and had a variety of ingredients. The soup had nice flavor with more of a lemongrass flavor. It also came with a side of vermicelli or rice. Everything tasted really good and the broth wasn't too salty, and all the contents within the pot soaked up the flavor. There were a variety of fishballs along with shrimp, cabbage, noodles, meat, and a raw egg. This was the perfect dish to eat on a rainy night and I was very satisfied with what I ordered. The service was great as the staff came quickly whenever I needed something. Another good thing about this place is that there are a variety of dishes besides hot pot such as ramen, steak, garlic noodles, and many boba options. They also close pretty late which is great. The decor of the restaurant was the first thing I noticed and appreciated when I first walked in. Sleek matte black aesthetic with plenty of seating for people coming in groups. Pretty clean too. I had a party of 8 and they had booth seating already available for our party size, which was great. I ordered the thai hot pot with flaming mild spice, which is the level above no spicy. But man, this was definitely not mild. My lips were burning and nose was running the entire time I was eating, and the heat of the hotpot made it even more spicy! The mild level is definitely not for someone who just wants a little kick or someone who can't handle a lot of spice. It's comparable to the xxtra hot hot cheetoh's if I had to compare it to something. The best part of the pot was probably the thai flavor, I thought it was pretty flavorful and still enjoyed the pot despite the spice. However, the hot pot as a whole was just okay. All of the proteins (pork, shrimp, crab, clams) were pretty dry. I didn't even eat the crab because it was mushy and tasted old. Also the hot pot itself doesn't have a way to make the fire less strong, so it's pretty much burning on fire the whole time and making the pot extremely hot pretty quickly. You can ask them to turn off the heat, which is what I did eventually, but it would be nice if some sort of lid was included in the pot to help control the fire intensity yourself as I've seen at other places. read more

Standard personal hotpot spot. Solid. Remember to start eating the cabbage base early or expect to finish your meal with a couple mouthfuls of it. Came in for late dinner on a weekday night. Plenty of seats available. I ordered the house special hot pot with mild spice. I debated going for medium, but the waiter said it'd be quite spicy and suggested I get the mild. In the end I think I would have preferred medium. Usually I prefer lamb as my meat of choice in hotpot as I think it's more tender. In the end I chose the house special with beef and I did notice that the beef was a bit tougher even than I had expected. Otherwise, the hotpot was warm and soothing on a chilly night. I enjoyed the variety in the dish. I also got the Red Flame milk tea, which was surprisingly solid. Finally back open for dine-in! Tables are socially distanced and all staff are wearing gloves and masks. So soo happy I can eat my ribeye lava stone steak again. Sadly, the quality of the steaks went down. I ordered the usual ribeye lava stone steak & asked for it rare but this time around it was too thoroughly cooked beforehand. It made the steak not pink and juicy, it was tough to eat :( Along with that, a lot of the steak was fat. Not much meat. Ehh maybe we came on an off day, not so sure what happened here. We came here for dinner last night and got seated immediately since it was before 5pm. We ordered: 1) New York steak - came sizzling in a hot plate , got rice & fries 2) House special hot pot - spicy and tasty, filled with veggies , 2 shrimp and fish balls, some meat 3) Milk tea - good 4) Ribeye steak - delicious and savory , with 2 portions of fries 5) Extra Rice bowl $1.00 Steaks came out fast, hot pot took longer. read more
