I am writing to warn others about our experience with Nathan Evans and Denver Mobile Auto Repair…read more Our story is the same as other reviewers, just a different amount and different excuses. After thousands of dollars lost and weeks of being left with an inoperable bus, we called another mechanic to figure out what was wrong. Here is the factual timeline of our experience regarding Nathan: * First Visit (7/21/2026): Nathan forced a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regen cycle, cleared codes, and assured us the bus was fit for service. He claimed he needed to get the Engine Control Module (ECM) code to make "proper DPF regen adjustments." * Second Visit (7/31/2026): The DPF light returned within a week. Nathan collected full payment upfront to order a replacement blower motor and dome light. He also charged a fee for an "ECM computer code adjustment" to change DEF fluid temperature settings. * Third Visit (8/7/2026): The DPF light returned a third time. Nathan claimed a faulty dosing head was the root cause and collected a 50% deposit to order the part. Following the third deposit, Nathan went completely radio silent for two weeks. He finally texted claiming he was injured but would return the following week. We wished him well and asked for a timeline. He then vanished for another three consecutive weeks, completely ignoring all outreach. After a month of the bus remaining inoperable, we cut our losses and hired an independent, certified technician. Here is what the new mechanic discovered: * Fraudulent Diagnostic Charges: The manufacturer (Thomas Built Buses) does not even require or utilize the manual ECM code override adjustments Nathan charged us for. * Severe Misdiagnosis & Negligence: The actual root cause of the DPF failure was inaccurate airflow and filter temperature sensors. Because Nathan failed to diagnose these faulty sensors, his repeated forced regeneration cycles could not actually clean the filter and kept feeding the ECM inaccurate readings. * The Resolution: The new mechanic simply replaced the faulty sensors, baked the filters clean, and ran a standard regeneration cycle. The bus immediately passed its emissions tests and we successfully registered it the very next day. Nathan charged us for parts never received, specialized labor that wasn't required or performed, and completely abandoned the job. STAY FAR AWAY from Denver Mobile Auto Repair and Nathan Evans and any of his other companies. We have officially filed a formal complaint with the BBB and the Colorado Attorney General's Office to have him investigated for fraud and to try and recover funds.

RUN AWAY!!! THIS GUY IS JOKE!!…read more Showed up and had me holding the hood of my car (45 mins) while he was on the phone with his insurance about his own work truck being in a wreck and having to use my own tools. Asked him, multiple times to check my ECM.. he then proceeded to work on other things I did not permit. As you will see in other reviews, I could not reach him for 8 days after having my car towed to his shop. I could only get ahold of his wife, who barely spoke English. She had no mechanical knowledge and would not let me speak to Nathan. He says you will get a full inspection "with a fine tooth comb" LIES!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY!!! He will send you text and contract via text, without ever speaking to you. I have a non working vehicle with no explanation of the charges at hand. At best he can change your tire or replace your battery. Mine as well be AAA.

I just relocated (2005 Gran Prix) from Michigan. On my way I noticed that my car kept running HOT…read more Well, after arriving, it really fell apart. Being new to the area, I had no choice but to pick a repair facility from the net. I chose Kearney Garage. After performing an in depth review, they gave me the ($3,000 in repairs) bad news. I chose the lesser $2,000 option. The good news is the final bill came out to $1,500. They were able to save the existing intake manifold. All in all, a completely satisfactory experience. Especially after coming from Detroit. The automotive capital of the world. My special appreciation goes out to Alex. He was warm, courteous and helpful throughout the entire process. Thanks a lot buddy. The car now runs like a dream. I'll take care of the other repairs at a later date.

I brought my 1975 Corvette to Kearny Garage for an upper-engine rebuild. After nearly three months…read moreof delays and almost $10,000 in costs, I had to tow the car and engine separately to another mechanic. Kearny Garage repeatedly promised to finish the car but failed to do so, overcharged me--including duplicate fees--lost parts I supplied, and damaged existing parts. When the second mechanic completed the work, he found numerous issues with Kearny Garage's repairs, including improperly installed new heads that allowed coolant to leak into the engine and could have destroyed it. Had Kearny Garage completed the work as it was, the engine likely would have failed immediately and required replacement. I then had to spend thousands of dollars correcting Kearny Garage's work, and I was unable to enjoy driving my convertible for months. Kearny Garage presents itself as a locally owned neighborhood auto shop, but it is actually owned by Sun Auto, a national auto service conglomerate. I also learned that the mechanic often takes shortcuts to complete jobs faster than the time billed to customers, and management appears to support that practice. The store manager was arrogant, condescending, and showed little concern for customer service. Fortunately, some locally owned automotive garages remain in the neighborhood and still value customers over profit.
