You will always find a very attentive staff, very polite, always willing to help and it feels like you are among friends when you go there. Whoever is doing the recruitment and training over there, must be given full marks for their effectiveness. The place is always busy, local Wiltoneers pouring in and out and it has everything from Veggies to milks, to meat, to Deli items and even cooked food. The food is always fresh and you find them restocking newly prepared food throughout the day. Everything here has a feel of freshness and the quality is consistently good. Besides grocery, I love their quiches and even the sushi is excellent. It's great as I live nearby , but if you are in the area, do benefit from this local Grocery store.

Over the years I have lived in Connecticut, I've used this store on and off to shop. It's not a…read morebig store, but there is definitely a community feel within those who shop here and so you kind of get a feel for how the town of Wilton is as a community. Based on my experience, this place has come in pretty clutch for me from time to time, and this has especially been true for me this year. So in the time I have come to shop here, I feel very comfortable in giving this 4 stars. It's the right rating for this place because there's a lot of good things you can buy here. Sometimes you will have sales on certain items that might save you a little money. But now we get into 2 reasons why I can't give this the full 5: this place can get OTT expensive real quick, and not everything they offer is actually worth buying. Some of the prepared meals like the spicy tenders or the grilled chicken you can just tell is processed to oblivion just from one look at it. So you definitely need to be careful what you buy from here. That being said, there's a lot more here that is worth buying than not. Their baked goods for example are quite good, and the breads are actually pretty good quality and worth the extra cost. Some of the things I have learned to cook come out a lot more delicious when buying groceries from this place. For example, I've recently learned how to make a Philly cheesesteak, and the ingredients I get for it largely come from right here at the Village Market! Same with Mac and cheese. And even though some prepared foods don't hit the mark, the ones that do are actually really good. Lastly, remember how I mentioned this place has a community feel? This is due in large part to the customer service in this grocery store. They are always warm, welcoming. It almost makes me feel like I'm one of the family in Wilton even though I live an hour away. All in all, great place to shop as long as you can afford it. Just don't get everything from here and mix in other cheaper places too.

Dirty bird or "local legend" sauce is the same but they end up writing an extra dollar or two up on the sandwich when they give it to you if it wasn't already bad enough that everything is so expensive. It said 11.99 for a wedge on the menu and they wrote 13.99 on my wedge. I wasn't about to argue right there but I took note of it. Woman in front of me checking out made a comment how the prices are so insane there. Like I understand the convenience aspect of it in an affluent rural community lol but this place will close soon if they don't try to be a bit more reasonable. It's also no secret that the old owner Peter owed EVERYONE in Weston money and was brutally behind on rent. I wonder how much of that burden the new management had to take over considering the prices are literally the same as when he was running it. Overall: groceries are expensive, sandwiches are okay if they charge you the right amount, normally I'd say you lost my business but I guess I'll keep coming back for the dirty bird but can you include chips or something if your gonna gouge an extra dollar or two.

Instead I found a little sandwich shop with 21 speciality sandwiches. This one came on recommendation from the guy behind the counter. The employees were friendly and funny and gave me some good banter. I asked for it toasted. Great portion sizes, AWESOME chicken cutlet (crispy out, moist in, perfect breading and seasoning), and the blend of jalapeño mayo and melty cheese was ideal rainy day food. What I'm saying is yeah, it's a cute, clean little supermarket. But it deserves to be on Yelp for these sandwiches. I'm going back.

Two well run food trucks As night fell a bonfire was lit. East Rock Brewing sold out of some interesting craft beer. But not before I had a couple. I would guess the crowd at about 200 people: Families, Dead-heads, and once upon a time Dead heads (such as myself) were all loving the time there. Some picnic tables fixed in place. many people brought in their own beach chairs coolers and even small tables. Lots of space remaining. Large grassy area where kids at the age when they need to run around could do so without being a problem for everyone else. A few people walked up a big hill, to the rear of the field, for a few minutes away from the crowd while overlooking the entire venue. One (of many) songs performed, took me back 40 years. When it was over , feeling deeply nostalgic, I slowly turned to check on my food truck pizza order. A woman probably my age said "You look like you need a hug". Never ran out of people to talk with. including the drummer and bass guitar player of the band. Would like to have brought someone here with me- but it wasn't necessary. The place really has a winning formula for an afternoon of music. Looking forward to another event at the Lachat Town Farm.

To begin, I was at the hot bar, waiting for an extended period of time, which another customer even noted, and when the woman came from behind the counter, she proceeded to touch her nose as well as the interior of the food dish, which was concerning. I actually declined taking the food. The bathroom - I'll just leave that to your imagination, but it was pretty gross Overall, the store seems dirtier, and the managers are less friendly than the gentleman who used to be there. The high school kid at the checkout was rude and had an attitude, and the kid packing the groceries threw my items in like it was a bag of Legos. This was really upsetting. So while there are some essentials when a quick pick up is needed, given the price of the prepared foods in the overall state of things in the market, going with three out of five stars, which is pretty generous at this time

Just had to listen to three employees discuss how being gay is a sin and people need to read the Bible and understand being gay goes against God. They were saying this right in front of me in the seltzer aisle. I wasn't eavesdropping on a secret conversation. As a gay person all I can say is WTF? This isn't the first time something like this has happened either. A few weeks ago as I was paying for groceries the cashier in the aisle next to mine was interrogating the bagger in my aisle about his brother's sexuality. Not a conversation you have with customers around. I literally just moved back up north after living in the south for a decade. Never had this happen in a Publix. I'll gladly drive the extra ten minutes to Ridgefield going forward. The employees at Stop & Shop seem to be more professional.
