Her organization was a life-saver, as was her coordination with our many vendors. It was a great weight off of our shoulders to have someone we trusted completely take care of the contact with our vendors in the final weeks. Shannon also has a really wonderful way about her. Through the planning and on the day of the wedding, Shannon was a calming presence and was also very efficient and got everything done in a way that appears effortless but that I know must, in fact, take great effort on her part. It is a true mark of her professionalism, as a wedding planner, that she is able to both get everything done in an efficient way, keep track of absolutely everything and seem calm and collected during all of our interactions, including on the wedding day. My now husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice to hire Shannon and with Shannon's incredible work on our wedding. Room service started knocking on our door at 10. We explained checkout was noon. They were back at 10:20 and again at 10:45. We gave up and left. I was told the manager, Jeremy Brown, was not in that morning. I called him the next day. He agreed to refund half the charge, or $90, but said I had to arrange it with Booking.com. I asked for a credit on booking.com. They refused to provide it bc they said manager Jeremy Brown did not return several phone calls confirming he agreed to the refund, and added that booking.com has a no-refund policy. so the service is lousy/disruptive and the manager is not responsive to complaints.

However, with the exception of one little girl who didn't want to leave the pool and had a lovely set of lungs, there was no noise. It was a peaceful night's sleep. The free breakfast in the morning was a huge disappointment. Coffee was there, cereal, oatmeal packets, and some pastry that I noticed was there the night before. I grabbed an apple and was grateful for the muffins back at UMass. My next trip to Amherst I will definitely check here first.

The fruit that's available looks like it's been sitting in the bowl for several months, certainly not fresh. We had a lot of issues with our room keys ceasing to work. Which was particularly frustrating considering that if we parked at the side door nearest our room we couldn't get it. In the two nights we were there we had to get our keys reprogrammed 4 times. The reception staff on the late shift are very surly, and certainly don't want to help you. Although close to the Hampshire Mall and other stores, the area outside gets quite seedy after dark. Next time I'm back visiting UMass I shall look for alternate accommodation It doesn't even live up to the adage 'cheap & cheerful'.

The railroad/long style of the single room was a bit larger than I needed, but okay in general. An included couch was an unexpected bonus and especially enjoyable for my cat who was traveling with me.
