At a time when my partner and I were starting to feel pretty overwhelmed by the wedding-planning process coming to a head, Shannon helped us pull everything together and brought order to our chaos in a way that was kind, considerate and always respected what we wanted for our wedding day. Her organization was a life-saver, as was her coordination with our many vendors. It was a great weight off of our shoulders to have someone we trusted completely take care of the contact with our vendors in the final weeks. Shannon also has a really wonderful way about her. Through the planning and on the day of the wedding, Shannon was a calming presence and was also very efficient and got everything done in a way that appears effortless but that I know must, in fact, take great effort on her part. It is a true mark of her professionalism, as a wedding planner, that she is able to both get everything done in an efficient way, keep track of absolutely everything and seem calm and collected during all of our interactions, including on the wedding day. My now husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice to hire Shannon and with Shannon's incredible work on our wedding. We only wish that we had hired Shannon to be our complete wedding planner, when we first started to plan, rather than our day-of wedding coordinator near the end of the planning process; having Shannon on-board throughout the wedding planning process, would have made it smoother and more enjoyable for us. I would highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking to hire an event coordinator; she was an absolute pleasure to work with!

I went there Halloween weekend, and they had increased their price to $95. N I N E T Y - F I V E D O L L A R S. The bed spreads looks like they were purchased from the Navaho inspired collection from QVC, circa 1995. I was in the transition in moving to Boston, so on the way there, I forgot something. I called, and a woman (a C- U- Next- Tuesday) answered the phone and started to scream at me for forgetting something. I couldn't even understand why she was so mad, as her banshee screams were difficult to understand. Don't go here. There is a reason why they removed the neon "No" from their "No Vacancy sign: they are always vacant, because people don't go there, and there is a reason. I spent about $100 for semen scented sheets, a stuffy room and a chick screaming at me for absolutely no reason. ***IMPORTANT NOTE*** This may look like a hotel, but it is also an underground halfway house. There are homeless men that LIVE in the rooms, for free. But I have to pay money? Don't leave anything important around, or children alone. The men that stay there look like they could be on To Catch a Predator. I hope they go bankrupt. Bastards.

Another one asked if she was in my way, but didn't offer me any sample. I took care of some other business and then went back to them: "Are you offering samples?" "Yes." "Well, may I try something?" It was like pulling teeth. The fourth server had four bottles of wine to sample. When I approached, she was talking with two young adults. When she finished speaking, I asked her what she was offering. She said something like, "I'll get to you next." Then she made me STAND THERE while she served another variety of wine to the two young women and told them all about it. Well, I did not stand there for long. What kind of a server can't give samples to more than one party at a time? The only explanation I can think of is that they had been instructed to target younger customers and ignore older ones like me. In which case I'll be happy to take my business elsewhere.

The breakfast is nothing but carbs; bread, cereal, cupcakes. No protein, no dairy other than milk for coffee. The fruit that's available looks like it's been sitting in the bowl for several months, certainly not fresh. We had a lot of issues with our room keys ceasing to work. Which was particularly frustrating considering that if we parked at the side door nearest our room we couldn't get it. In the two nights we were there we had to get our keys reprogrammed 4 times. The reception staff on the late shift are very surly, and certainly don't want to help you. Although close to the Hampshire Mall and other stores, the area outside gets quite seedy after dark. Next time I'm back visiting UMass I shall look for alternate accommodation It doesn't even live up to the adage 'cheap & cheerful'.
