The owner and the employees are extremely helpful and polite...they're just good people. I've been recycling with them for the last few years, and recently, I contacted them to see if they would let me bring a bunch of kindergarteners for a tour to learn about recycling. Not only did they say yes, but they stayed after closing and allowed us to tour their facility after hours! The showed us their entire operation and even showed us how they crush and bale the aluminum cans so they can be transported for the next step in the recycling process. I can't brag them up enough. The owner and another male employee keep soliciting Asian women for "massages." One Asian woman complained and she got banned. They also threaten to ban you if you tell them that hugging and groping makes you uncomfortable. They seem to have stopped that after other women complained to the owner's wife, but they still try to solicit you and verbally harass you. If you're a woman, DO NOT GO HERE ALONE! It is not safe. The employees also beg for tips too, and always ask for more. I wasn't aware that tipping culture reached recycling. It's insane since they're all mean and yell at customers and I'm pretty sure they're being sneaky since they won't let you see the total before they cash out. I've seen other people complain of being shorted that way too.

I fear the worst.

I've never encountered a person who has so much passion and enthusiasm in his job. Good, happy personality, always greeting people, polite and hardworking. I give him a dollar tip every time but he is always appreciative that I started giving him used clothing, shoes and sometimes water and snacks. I wanted to suggest that he work at a better-paying job, restaurant perhaps, because we need more people like him with this exceptional customer service but I like seeing him every week at the recycling center. Have patience when coming here, you will most likely be in line waiting for a spot. When you do get a spot, secure your containers and transfer your cans and bottles separately....then stand in line to be weighed in, then go to the counter to get your receipt, they give you a "club card" to get a better price per pound. Then go to the payout window...your done! Money in hand and now get yourself some lunch!
