This place is the most unreliable. Showed up this morning 20min after their listed opening time, and no one is there. They constantly have excuses not to take things, saying they are full or out of money. They close for lunch, which is fine but should be listed with their business hours so people don't show up expecting them to be open. read more

After reading all the reviews good and bad I decided to go anyways bc I just wanted to get rid of my stuff we had collected for probably 2 years. Plus there aren't many others anymore. It was the best experience and I can not complain about prices at all!! We crush all our cans pretty small and got $33 per filled basket for those and $12 per basket of plastic bottles (they had just raised the plastic prices!!). The place is perfectly organized and super fast getting you done. We had maybe 8 baskets filled and were in and out in less than 20 min. You unpack your car into the available orange plastic baskets and bring them to the scale. They take it from there. There are garbage cans for your old bags to throw away and no one gave us hassles about any of our plastic bottles being too this or too that or to sort or to take off lids or whatever the other places had to complain about. Definitely recommend! Got so much money will continue to recycle (we wanted to see if the hassle of collecting is worth it) it definitely is. If you bring under 50 you get paid per bottle/can if you bring more you get the weight prices that are clearly displayed on the wall. Such a huge disappointment and waste of time recycling at this location. Today was our first time coming here after our original spot on Diaz closed down. We gather the same amount of bottles and cans every time and where we would normally get $90-$100, today, we got $45. My 9 year old recycles as a way to make $$ and the rip off at this place was distasteful and unethical. What an awful business. read more

Reuben and Mike are so professional and helpful here at this recycling center. They make it extremely easy to drop off glass for cash. I do recommend you call ahead to see if they have capacity to take your recyclables for the day, as they can fill up rather quickly. read more

The basketball player young man working here is awesome & the older Hispanic guy is always great we usually come on the weekends but decided to come with my husband today on this Thursday where its not so busy and the young man convinced me to come and make a account just to leave a good review. He is always very helpful keeps the area clean this is our third time being here and I must say always has a good attitude and a smile. I would advise you to avoid doing your recycling with this facility. I took 2.69 pounds of Aluminum cans which I personally weighed before going to this place and they took my cans and said they weighed 1.76 pounds. Cheated me by almost a pound. When I questioned them, they said it was because of the Tare. That's total crap. 2.69 pounds is 2.69 pounds irrespective of the Tare you use. I use a very accurate scale because I do shipping on Ebay. I know exactly how that Aluminum weighed. read more

This place is an absolute 3rd world joke. 1) The owner was nearly an hour late to open. 2) There are no posted pay rates being displayed. 3) The scale looks as though it was scrounged from a dumpster. 4) Clients are not able to view the scale display. 5) No receipt is given. This place provides a miserable service, you won't know what you are going to be paid in advance of processing your recycling. The amount we weighed using a UPS shipping scale as we bagged it at our ranch, should have paid over $100, we only received $85. I am going to lodge a complaint with Riverside County Weights & Measures, this place needs an enforcement visit badly. Scam!! As others have stated, they have the display of the scales turned around so you can't see the weights. Then just type in whatever they want and pay you. I'm pretty sure they're skimming a few dollars off of every transaction, and 90% of people won't even know. read more

This place is a total scam . I bring the same amount of crushed aluminum and plastic every 3 months . My regular recycling center shut down . First of all, i dont appreciate dis-honest employees. These 2 guys working there pulled the wool over my eyes to deceive the total weight of my recyclables. I have my recyclables pre-weighed out before i turn them in and these guys work like hand in glove to to deceive you especially if you have alot of recyclable items. The will NOT show you the scale readings and this is the main greedy manipulation technique to undermine the total value of your items because i believe they pocket the difference of what they give you and the actual worth of what you're recycling. No big deal, just proves my point! NEVER GO THERE!!! And oh......BTW they even have the nerve to put a tip jar after pulling a CON job on you. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE REPLACED. I am reporting this scam to the Better Business Bureau with factual picture proof!! I bring in 16 pounds of plastic bottles and they rung my up for only 7 pounds and $7!!! They also won't take milk jugs that I take to SA recycling all the time with no issue!!!! Guys DONOT go to this scam!! These guys are awesome! They're friendly, helpful, conveniently located and very customer service oriented. They take plastic, glass and aluminum. They sometimes even have recyclables that others donate if you don't have much, though not always. Just a nice touch sometimes. They are very kind and understanding. They also have hand sanitizer. It can get a little crowded but things move pretty quickly as these guys are efficient. I've also found they pay pretty well, though I haven't really shipped around. I don't really feel the need to, as I'm happy with these guys. They are my go to for my recycling needs. Thank you guys for being so wonderful!!! read more

RIPED OFF is the feeling I left with!! intent was clear. There's No weight display for the public to view on a shabby scale. When asking them for a display as well as Tares, they refused, just making excuses. Tares don't exist on anything. I would have left, except help had hurriedly dumped most of the goods. This recycling location is efficient and friendly! Walter was very professional and courteous. Cash paid on spot. *Be mindful of passing cars and use safe distancing! I noticed a lot of crowding. Passing motorists are easily aggravated if your recycling hampers their path, so keep bags, cans, and barrels off to the side so cars can easily pass. read more

Other review is correct, they are scamming people and shorting money. Used to come here all the time, brought in what would normally be around 30$ worth of recycling, got 14$. They have the scale turned away so you can't see what the number is, they write down whatever they want and don't give you a receipt, when questioned they act like they don't know what's going on and then give you a handwritten receipt, they can write anything they want on that. First of all I am writing this review after receiving such great customer service. This place is extremely fast & very clean! The two new guys working there are extremely helpful, hardworking, & friendly. What can I say...I was in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes. I'm very impressed on how fast these men are. The two men working appeared to know a lot about recycling. They were very informative and explained to me what cans and bottles I should look out for that are recyclable and let me know which ones pay out the most. I have had bad experiences with other recycling places because their workers are often rude if you ask questions or rob you of your money. These men appeared honest and happy to answer any of my questions! This place cares about their customers! I will definitely be coming back again. called nultiple times through out the day. no answer. called multiple times on my way to the recycling place . no answer . live across town too. I had never been here before so calling and calling. because the navigMarion says im here but I don't see the business. I pulled at 4:57pm . I was actually in the center at 4:34pm. I get and start unloading the cans , they say they are closed. Don't put your hours until 5pm if you are not open until then. and then get a phone that works. Waste my time to drive during traffic across town . I'm beyond mad. oh and I had tried calling sunset recycling multiple times within the last week to double check that the hours online on their site were correct. one last thing i, I am not one of those people whoever leave negative reviews. thank you again for wasting my time . read more
