The park is far more beginner-friendly than you may think at first glance, with several gentle banks and easy roll-ins to get you into the flow section, but it also rewards you with more and more possibilities the more you progress in skill. It's very easy to maintain speed for laps throughout the park once you get a feel for it, and the transition is pretty moderate/standard throughout the park. Nothing truly tricky to deal with if you're just trying to cruise around, but endless possibilities for someone truly skilled, from what I see happen here. The concrete in the shallow of the bowl is starting to develop a bit of pitting in two spots, so take note of that if you're riding smaller/harder wheels.

The seesaw horses that this spot has are unique. We've been to so many parks, so it's rare to see something new, and this spot was the first time I'd seen those. The skate park was completely empty, so this would be a kid-friendly spot to take your kid's board, skates, or scooters to for some safe learning without distractions. The bathrooms at this park were really gross, just a single room/stall for men and women, but at least they had something lol.

This is one of two parks that the Active board shop hold their weekend skating workshop.Not only is it a spot for boarders,this has a small park next to it equipped with exercise machines.In the front of the park,there is the teen center that's open only during the week,so I can't comment on that site.The skate area itself is great for beginners to advance levels. This location is great do to the fact it doesn't have any locals trying to claim the skate arena like it was theirs.The parking is limited on both the north and south side of the park so I would recommend early arrival because of the skate classes that are held on Saturday's and Sunday's from eleven to about one. But, that said, only old Glendorans would be making that mistake and yet I hear folks of all ages add the 'd'. The park has lots of amenities we've used since our kids were born and even before... - summer concerts and movies in the park - birthday or event areas (Scouting) - playground - tennis court (other side taken by pickleball :( - skate park - sports fields - horseshoes - volleyball - community center And more. We love walking through the park on the way to the Village. If you haven't been, worth checking out pretty much any day of the week. So many fond memories created at Finkbiner. Even Pokémon Go events, haha.

The lighting here is very good compared to most public courts and they're automatic so you won't need to manually turn them on.

As of October 2025, the price of admission has increased to $15. At least it was for the weekend of…read morethe annual dragon boat festival. Many cars were lined up before the recreation area opened for the day, so it took a while to find parking. Many teams found their patch of grass to pitch up tents for the better half of the day, while it seems those who weren't part of the festival were partitioned off. From around 7am to 4pm, a lively environment of DJs and live music, jersey vendors, drumming competitions, costume contests, and even Zumba, a nice mix of distractions between all the waiting between heats. The park's maintenance team were on hand cleaning the restrooms, emptying trash cans, and driving to and from whenever they were needed. Some of the dragon boat teams and vendors also drove into the booth areas which made it kinda dangerous with so many people. There was even a close call of an infant almost getting run over. In terms of dragon boat, participating in 250m sprints was a positive experience. Much different sense of urgency compared to the usual 500m.
