Swung by en route between Pasadena and Arcadia for a quick walk for the dogs. There was plenty of free parking, doggie bag stations, clean pavement and shaded paths. So many trees and green grass for the dogs to sniff!! They loved and we loved it too!!! Both humans and the dogs appreciated the greenery and peaceful settings after a long car ride. We were all car sick from driving long distances -- from Palm Springs to Pasadena all in one go. What a treat it was to stop by at this nice county park. I know exactly where I am stopping by whenever I am in the area with dogs. Next time, I wouldn' even mind doing picnics so I can enjoy the takeaway meals / coffee / pastries on the go.

Somehow it reminds me of Mile Square Park, though it isn't as big as that. In general, it was still a nice park. My fur baby approved ^__^

The Arcadia County Park is a great place to take a walk or go for a run. Walking or running the perimeter of the park takes about 40 min (walking) and maybe 15-30 min running depending on your pace. There is a ppath through the upper third of the park that some people cut through to take a shorter route. There are lots on the west (Huntington Dr.) and east (Santa Anita Ave.) sides. The Santa Anita side has lots of shade from trees over hanging the sidewalk. The south side (Campus Dr.) accross from Aracdia High has little shade and is the hottest or coldest stretch depending on the season. The park has many picnic amenities. The picnic tables near the lots on both the west and east sides frequently have big groups doing activities on the weekends. There is a public pool, lawn bowling, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, a golf course, horseshoe pits, and a playground for kids. For a full list of activities, more information, and whether reservations are necessary for your activity, see their official website. The north east corner has a fountain with military memorial and history of the park info nearby. On memorial and vetrans days there is normally some sort of special memorial set up. The flags show in the pictures are from memorial day. The history of the park is interesting. The park is a relatively safe place during the day, however, homeless people sometimes are by the fountain and occassionally in other parts of the park. There are no known issues, but it would just be wise to avoid the park at night unless group activities are taking place there. We definitely recommend visiting.

This is a really huge park with lots of green grass, big trees, and huge space. There's have a parking lot, too. It takes a while to walk the entire park, but there are tables to take a break.

Been to this park so many times since I was young and glad to see it's still beautiful. Has many amenities such as swimming pool, tennis courts, playground, and is a perfect place to run miles. Relatively clean but now a days a bit more sus people around but not a huge problem.

The park is huge! Plenty of amenities! - Swimming pool with a splash pad - tennis courts - lawn bowling - playground - plenty of open space for picnic or lounging - picnic tables available - open fields for sports - next door to the golf course They also offer a vending machine with different items you can check out. Balls, kites, even sanitizing wipes!

This park is huge, and has offerings for many different age groups. It is located right next to a golf course, and boasts a large center for senior citizens as well. The green lawn extends over a large area, and parking is never in shortage. My favorite spot in this park is where the pull-up bars sit. I can come here and get a quick outdoors workout while conducting business in the area. I've done so already several times, and I have good food options nearby for a post-workout meal. The area is safe. I haven't run into any sketchy people thus far. The police regularly patron the area as well, so no funny business here. Whether you're bringing kids to the playground, getting a game in at the tennis courts, or barbecuing with friends or family outdoors, this is a good park to come to. Let's keep it clean and safe, folks!

It is a beautiful family oriented park. My son and I walk his dog here quite often. Plenty of shade and everyone seems to be very friendly.

Ask the Community - Arcadia County Park

Does Arcadia Community Regional Park have an entrance fee?

No, it does not. If you are referring to the park bounded by Santa Anita, Huntington, and Campus, then it does not have an entrance fee.

Does anyone know where is the "Seven Palms" picnic area in this park? I found the oak tree picnic area on the map but that is not the same thing.

I just got off the phone with the "general" number on the park's website. They said there are three picnic areas in the park: (1) the oak tree one by Santa Anita Ave., (2) the BBQ area on the Huntington side by the Hospital, and (3) the seven palms… Read more

    Is the splash pad free?

It's only a couple dollars but you need to get there early before each session because a line forms and there are only a certain number of spots for each session. Get there early!

Does anyone know how long the path is around the park?

If you go around the park, including the outside of the golf course (including Campus Drive), it's 2.46 miles. If you're looking to make it a 5K, you can run that, and then a loop around the actual park...that will put you around 3.25-3.5 miles… Read more

Is the splash pad open for the season?

    Are there any outlet plugs?

Can i picnic here in tent for 3-4 hours?

    Yes!!

I assumed it must be the park so parked and walked in to see. Sure enough it was the park. Not too crowded. A decent size field for kids to run errand and a nice playground with slides and swings. Our other friends came in from the opposite side so there are multiple entrances to this park.

It's a great place to exercise or just relax and enjoy a bit of neighborhood nature. I come birding here sometimes as well - there are some seasonal AND resident favorites of mine here like the Western Tanagers, Cedar Waxwings, Bewick's Wrens, Western Bluebirds, and White-breasted Nuthatches! There's squirrels and often rabbits here - I've also seen bears and coyotes here so be aware. If you enter from Grand Avenue, there are 58 whimsical stairs to go down - all painted in a rainbow of colors! A lot of locals run/walk them for exercise. The other entrance is around the block on Valle Vista Ave and only has a few steps to contend with. At the top of the Grand Ave stairs, there's a small park area with a couple of benches, a nice bear statue, and several bird nest boxes that the Bluebirds & Nuthatches use in the spring. Down the stairs leads to the main, larger park with picnic tables, playground equipment, and lovely views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Parking is residential street parking but there's always plenty. The only downside is there are no bathrooms. Tons of people walk their dogs here and bring them to play and the city provides pet-waste bags and a water fountain for the humans AND the dogs lol. There is a leash law here - it's not a dog park - most people ignore it but be aware as I've seen it enforced occasionally.
