He showed up as scheduled and without wasting any time, he went straight to work. He used this handheld machine and tested different random painted areas. There was no need for me to follow him around and I just went on to do some work while waiting. He finished after about two hours plus. There was no moving of furniture needed on my part, or at least he did not ask me to. It was done just about the length of time he had advised me of. I received the paperwork and the report afterward via email. It was very detail and exactly what I needed. He was easy to work with. I found him to be both knowledgeable, thorough and professional. His fee seemed reasonable which was of similar rate as other contractors I had talked to before. I would certainly recommend him for the lead paint inspection. And I will be comfortable hiring him if I need an home inspection in the future since he also provides such service.

He is not afraid to tell a realtor to quiet down or get out of the way, he will spend as much time as it takes to thoroughly inspect every inch of the property so you know exactly what you're walking into. He caught multiple serious issues the sellers either didn't know, didn't disclose, or didn't want to deal with - including a structural concern, improper French drain, water intrusion, mold, and a roof at the end of its life, as well as significant chimney issues. He even flagged a massive dead tree we hadn't noticed, which turned out to be hollow and dangerous -- something that would've cost us $10,000 to remove. That alone could have become a huge liability down the line. His narrative report was detailed, easy to follow, and full of photos so there's no confusion about what was found. I called many months ago and spoke with the owner (Mike) to replace damaged laminate flooring in a business in my commercial building. The owner, Mike, had came and measured and said it would be done soon. Several weeks had went by with no calls or updates. I was wondering why no one reached out to give me a status update, so I called the owner. When I called him, he said he would call me back in a few minutes but never did. I was starting to get "fed up" and reached out again, and he started ignoring my calls. When I became totally fed up and left a voicemail of my displeasure, he then put me on automatic - voicemail. I was a loyal and dependable customer to them for years without any issues. I talked to my friend who referred me to Best Carpets and Interiors and I found out that the company's business practices are not what they used to be. I called him several times on Monday 4/24/2017 and left a text message to ask if the service was to be paid for beforehand and to furnish any details that might have been required. I got no call or text msg back, so I called Tuesday 4/25/2017 to make sure things were squared away and was told by the woman who answered the phone (Elizabeth) that the appointment had been given away after I spoke with Sean. Neither Sean, nor Elizabeth could do anything to rectify their mistake and Sean couldn't seem to care less. At least Elizabeth was polite and professional and seemed genuinely sorry, Sean owned up to his mistake and wouldn't reschedule the appt that was obviously made after mine.
