Kevin at Foremost Properties Inspectons is the most unbiased, knowledgeable Home Inspector that I ever had the pleasure of using. He takes his time looking and recording all facets of the Home inspection which included a pest inspection, a whole property tank sweep, as well as sewer line camera inspection. I couldn't believe that he even checked out the roof, the crawl spaces, attic and even checked out the foundation on all sides of the house. This is not a hour inspection either, he was at the subject property for 4 hours and answered all questions I could possibly think of. If I ever buy another house, I'm definitely going to hire him for home inspection. With my home purchase, I already had one inspector and my husband and I were not happy with how the report was written (wishy-washy and vague terms). We were so dissatisfied with the 1st inspection and we complained this to our attorney, who recommended them. Then, my attorney recommended Kevin as Kevin inspected his house. From the first time I called him to scheduling inspection time, till the report was issued, Kevin was absolutely pleasure to work with and he was extremely professionals throughout the process and many many phone calls. He has years and years of experience and performed inspections on multi-million house to humble houses. For instance, people hire Kevin to inspect homes in Alpine, NJ, and the Hamptons, NY, and some celebrities'. We had a high-high expectation as we were nervous in dealing with buying a quite a old house, especially our 1st inspector was dis-satisfactory. And I know what's good vs. poor quality performance in any jobs b/c the work/results show and their communication skills shows, and their attitude can tell. Kevin exceeded my expectation from all aspects - his performance displayed true professionalism. He was super busy with other jobs but yet sent me the report in almost 3AM so that I and the seller can complete the process on time. My husband and I were relying on his report and our seller had hard time during negotiation due to his findings/observations written. We also compared his report to the 1st inspection (that we were not happy with) and it was apparent Kevin's report was with superior quality and thoroughness - so don't bother hiring mediocre inspector (save money!). Kevin was great! He was able to fit me in even though he was pretty booked up. He went over the inspections he thought I needed and didn't need based on the house listing and then took care of organizing all of the inspectors (sewer camera, pest, and oil tank sweep). He's a bit more expensive than most other inspectors, but you get what you pay for. On the day of the inspection, he was prompt and very thorough. Our house is not that big but the inspection took about 4.5 hours because he really goes over everything. I appreciated that he took me around as he was working to show me what issues he found and explain the problems. He also pointed out helpful things about the house and give me ideas of improvements I could make. His report is extremely thorough and written in a way that's easy to understand. After the report was delivered, we talked multiple times about the items I was asking to fix and he helped me understand what each item entailed and how immediate each fix was. One thing I would recommend is getting on his calendar as early as possible -- don't wait until after attorney review to reach out. read more

I contracted Foremost Property Inspections to perform home inspection for me. Based on the contract, they will perform both regular inspection and put Radon test on that day. On the inspection day, they told me they forgot bringing Radon test kit and need to visit again, this wasted my time and put me on risk because I have only days' time window for home inspection contingency. They also told me they did not feel good to explain to me where are house issues because agent was around. This is ridiculous because it was their job and also why I paid them to show me house issues, report itself is not so intuitive and straightforward. On site explanation is much more helpful and necessary. They charged me double than their peers, but they did not even provide the same level service as their peers! Beyond that, they did not carry necessary inspection quality as they supposed to have, for example, for example, they did not check AC temp from register even I told them AC has issue, they did not test run washer and dryer, they failed to find roof leaking which cost me 10+K to fix, they failed to spot AC air duct leaking sign which made me hire contractor to open walls later, etc etc. In addition to all above, they delivered their report way way slow and made me crazy. I had only a few days for home inspection contingency, most inspectors deliver report with 24 or 48 hours. They did not reply my calls in 3 days after inspection, I did not know what happened. After numerous calls, they told me they expect 5 business days, we are crossing weekend, which mean it will take even more days to deliver report, that's triple time of industry practice! And they failed to deliver Radon test report, YES, they did not deliver Radon test result even after 5 months! I was charged above industry peers price, they did not want to explain house issues onsite, they did not perform quality checks, they did not deliver report timely, they missed delivering full report, they have not send me Radon report after 5 months! Now I have spent way over $10+K to repair these issues they were supposed to find out earlier. read more
