They listened to my concerns about the toxic mold growth on my walls following a water leak, and came out the next morning to do air and surface sample testing. The next day they had lab results and emailed me detailed PDFs with the lab report and their recommendation protocol for mold remediation. Ryan also called me to talk through their findings. Powers Environmental LLC is third-party and independent, so hiring them prevented a conflict of interest with the mold remediation company. My situation was particularly complicated, because I wound up having problems with one remediation company and switched to another, and everything had to involve the property managers. There was a lot of disagreement between the property managers and me, and Powers Environmental LLC went above and beyond in helping explain the dangerous mold situation and remediation process to the property management company. It was a multi tiered process, and I felt so protected knowing that Powers environmental 100% had my health and safety as their sole priority. I watched Ryan work when he came for the clearance testing, and I appreciate his methodical and detail oriented approach. Michael provides a super thorough inspection and pays attention even to the smallest details. He points out loose stones in the stairs, narrow parking spots that claim to fit more cars than it is realistically possible, stair handles placed uncomfortably, among other things. He also points out important things that are done not up to code and can cause serious issues down the line. It is a responsibility of a buyer to evaluate the findings and apply them, whether in negotiations with the seller, or just for your own reference later to understand what requires fixing and how urgent it is. And knowing that in advance, I think I received a superior service, because thanks to Michael, not only I received a concession from a buyer to fix an improperly installed, though working, garage door, but also avoided troubles with insurance company later by requesting asbestos removal and obtaining corresponding certificate. Michael's commission may be a bit higher than the market, but it's well worth it.
