Fantastic serendipitous find! After a recent move from Hollywood back to Texas, I needed to find a…read morechiropractor to take up where my treatment had left off due to a body-wracking fender bender I experienced on the wild and wooly streets of Los Angeles. Needless to say, after doing a quick search online, I found Pure Life Chiropractic. I saw tons of 5 star reviews, loved what others had to say about the practice so I was game to give them a try. After discovering they were only a 5 minute drive from my new home, I found myself driving into a beautiful complex that actually overlooks gorgeous hills and trees--very "Austin." After navigating my way back to the small parking garage (it is a challenge to find as their office is on the back side of the building--Maggie, the front desk manager helped me navigate via phone)--I ascended the elevator which opened up to second floor. Beautiful flooring and decor along the short hallway, I walked into the Pure Life Office, noticing a "Welcome Laura" sign on the door. Filled with light, this modern, spacious, very open environment was nothing like any chiropractor's office I had ever seen. Maggie, all smiles was gracious and helpful from the get go. Pleasant and warm, I was walked back, past the beautiful physical therapy area to an inviting "office" where a personalized letter and gift (I won't tell you what it is...!) was waiting for me. I sat on a comfy leather sofa, awaiting the Dr. When Dr. Borbon walked in, I immediately felt at ease. Doctor B exudes a serene confidence that had me from hello. He attended to me professionally, yet interweaving a wonderful, comfortable conversation throughout my experience. Even looking at my x-rays, all was explained to me in a way that I've never had another do so for me in the past. Every detail was discussed and then my "plan" was presented to me, to restore me back to a better than normal state. Susana, my physical therapist, with her beautiful smile, reassured me they would get me back in working order very soon! I've been going to Pure Life now for just over a month and I am feeling so much better. I have more mobility in my neck than I have had in a very long time! Hooray! No more questions from others if I have a stiff neck--a result of an old whiplash injury and years of dance. AND I feel I'm standing taller, I have more mental clarity, my mood is better--I actually felt euphoric when I left yesterday. I'm guessing that Dr. Borbon's unique background in Chiropractic Neurology is an added bonus! I haven't felt this good in a long time! Oh, and by the way--my chiropractor in Los Angeles? They pale in comparison. It's night and day. Wow. I'm one lucky gal to have found this fabulous chiropractic practice! So, thumbs up to Dr. Borbon and his incredible team!

6 stars+, I need more stars to rate my experience!!!…read more First of all, I had been freaking out over possible bad news from my blood tests the week prior. Apparently, I needed to have a liver biopsy done. All of this coupled with nightmare colonoscopies I've had in the past AND 18 years of dealing with military and VA doctors (I'm recently retired Air Force) and I had already worked into a panic attack and unable to sleep, fearing both the procedure AND results. My anesthesiologist, Mr Tiger, called me the day prior and gave me very informative details and reassurance that the procedure would not be difficult. The next morning, I was going to the room right on time. Mr Tiger made both my wife and I comfortable, and spoke with the doctor to help me start with some medication to ease my nerves. By the time I was taken into the procedure room, I already had another excellent technician start the sonogram, and very soon afterwards my Dr, Dr Suh, introduced herself and again explained the procedure, ensured I was more than comfortable and we talked about personal experiences that we enjoyed to relax. The next thing I know, the procedure was over before I even knew it had really started! Back to my room, and some pain slowly started creeping in. The push of a call button, two pain meds later, and I feel good enough to write this message after meeting a manager, Tammy, and expressing my gratitude for a wonderful experience. I performed Quality Assurance - type work for the Air Force for a long time in my career. Everyone knows that people rarely praise, and usually only complain! Friends, if you have good service and experiences, please take the time to write about it! Employees deserve it just as much as those who deserve complaints, and being recognized does your part to help keep the good people there for us! Thank you Mr Tiger and Dr Suh - your care and professionalism is what all patients and all of society deserves in any setting. God bless! David Russell

Fellow Austinites. Please Boycott Austin radiological associates when considering your imaging…read moreneeds. Ever since they outsourced their scheduling to a call center overseas it is nothing but agony to schedule with them. I know that they would prefer you to not call but I can never access their online scheduling portal even though I allowed their system to choose my password and then dutifully saved it. So, I had two different exams to schedule and even though I knew it was a long shot ( and even said as much to the rep) I waited on hold for almost 30 minutes. I waited because often my phone won't ring anymore ( Santa says he's bringing a new one) and I was hoping for same day, same place. I finally get through and we played twenty questions to get me verified even though my name, phone number, DOB and insurance should be on file. After I explained the situation and what I was hoping for the run around began. She kept repeating the types of exams over and over and naming dates months out but not locations. So if she was looking at open dates she should know which location, right? Why not say so when mentioning the date? Then when questioned why February ( one exam is a screening covered 100%) she claimed it was to do it in one day but still didn't tell me if it was my preferred location or one of their other eleven. This went on for over forty minutes and I could hear a man in the background making comments and laughing. I finally made both appointments, not together, not even this year for the screening so they screwed me on the benefit for next year. It was so bad they even said they had an appointment for the screening at my preferred location this afternoon but when I questioned if they could verify my insurance in that time ( a couple of hours) suddenly she was looking at 2026 and when questioned about that she said they had no appointments before that date next year. So no available appointments until December of 2026? Okay. I was under the impression from having spoken with their corporate office in the past that they only open their schedule a couple of months at a time. It is like this every time you try to contact them, and awhile back I showed up at a location that had my information for almost a month but when I got there they said my insurance had not approved the exam and tried to deny me. I sat on a bench in the lobby, called my insurance company and was told they had approved it within two days of it being submitted but ARA had never followed up. I had to go in and give my phone to the reception so the woman could put in the approval code and verify she was speaking to the insurance rep. Unfortunately I cannot get my images any where else this time but this will be the last time I use ARA. We have private insurance paid for by my husband's employer and they pay out well and rarely ( almost never) deny a claim. These administrative positions should be filled by American citizens in the community as they used to be. People do a better job when they are members of the community they serve. Every time you get routed to Pakistani or Bangladesh they just want to waste your time. I started the forty minute conversation trying to be patient and understanding but ultimately lost it. Especially when I was asking a question and she started speaking over me. I tried to call corporate just to verify she had actually managed to schedule the exams since she couldn't seem to understand the calendar program and how it worked and also find out what I needed to do to access the portal next time and the line kept disconnecting when I pressed one . So I let it ring through to the operator who thought she was that woman Veronica on FB. You know, the one who hangs up on and threatens customers? And I was politely explaining to her because she wasn't the scheduler who was difficult to deal with but she decided to just keep putting me on hold, she didn't even say why the first time. I promise I was being respectful with her even though I had finally lost it with the other woman. Obviously there was an issue but she didn't even have the respect to listen before deciding not to be helpful. Enough is enough. Consider taking your healthcare elsewhere. I spoke with Touchstone but they were also scheduled out too far,and I would need to contact my physicians and have them resend the orders before scheduling. However, I got right through, she listened and empathized and gave me the address and fax number in case I did want to wait until January. I ended up calling my Drs office for one scan because it's pretty critical to see if they even booked the appointment at ARA.

I came to her after a car accident and a disappointing experience with another neurologist who dismissed my symptoms as anxiety and refused to order imaging. Dr. Wingrove did thorough in-office testing, saw red flags for spinal cord damage, and ordered the imaging that confirmed severe compression in my cervical spine. Her care quite literally changed the course of my health. I needed surgery, and without her, the condition would have gone undiagnosed and worsened. She's also responsive via the patient portal and open-minded to different treatment options. I'm beyond grateful to have found her and can't recommend her enough if you're dealing with neurological issues.

Unprofessional and dishonest billing practices- avoid!…read more I had a terrible experience at this clinic. After paying $500 out of pocket for an appointment, I was shocked to receive an additional $150 bill with no prior warning. I had confirmed multiple times with the staff prior to the appointment that the cost would be $500, and no one ever mentioned any additional charges. When I called the billing center, they were unhelpful and rude, and when I spoke to the clinic manager, I was given the ridiculous explanation: "if the doctor saw you, it's more expensive." This is absurd and feels like a clear attempt to scam patients. I was promised a resolution to this 3 weeks ago and had since called them several times just to receive a "we don't have a solution yet" response... There were no additional procedures, no explanation of extra charges during my appointment, and no transparency at all. This is a clinic that lacks basic professionalism and integrity. I will never be returning... which is really sad because I was looking forward to finally seeing a specialist. If you value honest and clear billing practices, look elsewhere.

Then he order 3 more and cancelled the first scan without telling me (this is after I booked the first scan) and blamed ARA - I called ARA myself and spoke to the tech and the first scan was correct. Please did yourself a favor - Avoid at all costs.

I have had the hardest time with neurologist for whatever reason. They all seem rude and arrogant. Not him. I immediately felt welcomed and in great hands when I first saw him. I have had epilepsy since I was 12 and am now 32. He told me so many things about my disorder that I had no idea about. The first thing he did was a 3 day EEG. He was surprised I had never had one and even more surprised I had no idea what it was. He was ok with me staying on the meds I was currently taking as my seizures were controlled. I was planning on getting pregnant and he successfully made the switch of meds smooth and seizure free. I unfortunately suffered from PPD. He amazingly diagnosed it. I would think a psychologist would but he knew right away and prescribed me something. I immediately felt better and myself again. For that I will always be grateful. I was also becoming extremely exhausted. I shrugged it off as being a new mom. He knew I need to come down on one of my meds. Again, I felt so much better and seizure free. Bottoms line- I urge anyone who struggles with epilepsy to see him. You will most likely hear things you haven't before about your disorder. Make sure to schedule your time accordingly because you will wait a while. Which is a good thing. He spends a lot of time with you.
