Ford Explorer PO171 / P0174 codes. Engine running lean. Took it here twice, they had it for about a month and each time when I brought it home it comes up with the same codes and won't run right. Now I'm not just a complainer, before I brought it here I had replaced : coil, plugs, wires, fuel injectors, DPFE, 3 oxygen sensors and searched in vain for a vacuum leak. They replaced the air intake, O2 sensors (again), tested cylinder pressure and called me both times saying it was fixed. Hundreds of dollars later it's still not fixed. Same codes and misfire codes. Change plugs and misfire goes away but not the P0171/P0174 codes. What's left to change is beyond me and why I took it there. To be fair ~ their prices are competitive and their friendly enough. I just don't have a car that runs. (158k on Explorer). read more

Honestly the best experience with an auto shop I've ever had. My girlfriend drives a Mini Cooper so you know we spend a lot of time at repair shops. Won't go back to another one after this. Joe and Brian were friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to idiots like myself. When we discovered there weren't any serious issues they didn't even charge us labor. I can't say enough good things about Scott and Reasonable Auto. Every time my car craps out on me, I take it to Scott, and he always gets me up and running fast. Yesterday my coils went bad in my 08 Kia, I called ahead to learn that he was pretty busy today. I dropped the car off anyways expecting it to be done next week but Scott surprised me by fitting it in today, totally saving my butt from having to take an Uber to work tomorrow. These guys are great and I have no reason to go anywhere else. They don't overcharge on labor like some of the bigger shops. My fuel filter is mounted on the front of my gas tank with a band clamp. The hoses are attached via quick connect. It would take longer to put the vehicle on a lift that to change the fuel filter but they need to charge 1 hr. labor at $70 to do this. Reasonable? read more

Owner and tech, Brian Vail, does work that is not necessary and charges for it anyway. When called on it- based on reasearch both online, and, through other, actually qualified, auto repair businesses, he claims he will make it right, but does nothing. Paid him $800 and fixed the vehicle myself (by resetting the computer). Spoke to Mr. Vail but he really couldn't care less. Waste of time, waste of money and a true disappointment overall. It's an absolute shame that someone cares so little about their customers but cares greatly about "being right". read more
